Let me take you out for the day round some Charity Shops and show you some of the stuff I pick up to turn into real money!
Follow me on Instagram for behind the scenes: @chaddypete / chaddypete
love how polite you guys are to staff always makes me smile 😀
They are the salt of the earth! Best bit of the sourcing trip!
You gotta be polite they are eating Jean's and shorts
Love your videos because I can’t remember the last time I went out bargain hunting due to health reasons. Thanks to you and your missis in Sheffield 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Thank you. Im at the start of my journey and its been a real eye opener x
Glad we could help a little bit!
I have been thrifting for years and every now and then I might find something to resell but for the most part I just love to find pieces for my wardrobe! Super interesting learning how you make money this way and your extensive knowledge on brands! I guess this whole time I’ve always just skipped the mens section! I’d love more in depth how to videos and what brands to spot for! Super informative thank you for taking us shopping with you!! 😄
Thank you for watching! My wife has been an avid thrifter since she was very young so it naturally progressed into reselling!
I feel like charity shops local to me have clocked onto reselling and the worth of most items they receive now. Happy hunting to all. 💯🤜🏼
Cheers for watching! To be fair Charity Shops have always known about resellers, it’s the resellers job to always stay ahead of the game and find items that have been undervalued 🔥
@@Chaddypete yeah tbh I heard you say that and it does make sense as well as the hunt that bit more challenging. I’m fairly new to the charity shop thrifting but my missus has always loved a charity shop. You got a new member of ya YT Famalam now. 💯🤜🏼
Cheers bro I appreciate it! Charity shopping is definitely more challenging but it just makes it more fun 😂
Once again, great content. Just out of curiosity, how far do you travel to source from charity shops? I tend to only hunt from my local ones where my face has become too familiar
@@Worldboss1 tbh I personally only visit local ones but when out n about I sometimes venture into the unknown. I also agree that staff will become familiar quickly with a regular reseller and once they do it can result in not as many results. But as said in this video you have to look for those that have been missed! 🤜🏼
Thanks for the video and for sharing your knowledge. It looks like you are just walking round charity shops buying stuff. But in each shop you give out so much information about why you buy or how you avoid the pitfalls - must be about 20 pieces of information and all are so on point. Cheers.
Thank you so much for that! I’m not really into making these videos to show off, I personally think if share the information, I’ll end up learning more as I go along so I’m glad that is helping! Thank you again for supporting the channel.
I used to work in a charity shop and most have a date system where they swop things with other shops. So if the date on it says 30.07.2023 thats the date they take the items off and new items from another shop show up. So, check the tags and then once you see the date go in the day after and you can find a whole host of new things.
That’s really helpful thank you!
Love the videos pal, you definitely know your stuff.
Cheers mate! Thanks for watching!!
Amazing finds and amazing knowledge
I appreciate the support! Cheers!
Loving the videos. I've loved going round charity shops for years since I'm a bit of a collector in vintage toys and games and stuff. I've never thought to look at reselling clothes I'm too scared to take the risk since I don't know very much about fashion at all 😂
If you ever met me, you would see I have no fashion sense! I try and treat it as logical as possible!
@@Chaddypete I just have no experience with many brands 😂 I've always worn either skateboard type companies, band merch or licenced stuff from George asda or something 😂
My sister always clocks the good stuff. Other week she found a pandora bracelet which upon research had £400 worth of beads and charms on it
Thats a beast of a find! Nice one!
Enjoying your video's, just because I can't get out bargain hunting due to health issues. Thanks for taking me virtual shopping. God bless you and your family.
No problem l! Thank you for coming along with us!
I’m paying for a spot in downtown la all of reselling clothes! Been doing it for almost 10 years now but with hard work and dedication it’s fersure a good way of making a living. Word of advice for others only get into this If you enjoy it.
That is such a good point! The only reason I’ve been doing it as long as I have is I genuinely enjoy clothing 🔥
This Video made my Day. My Mum has That Exact Same Addidas Fleece. She be glad you like it 👍
What a legend! Its slightly too big for me or I would have kept it!!
Damn. the shops in your patch look insane. There's a few good shops near me, but I have to travel far for the bigger ones.
Latest personal use finds? A swatch watch for 8 quid - goes for 190 new. A next 2 seater sofa worth around 700+ new for £145.
Nice finds mate!! It’s always nice to find something you can actual use, at a fraction of the price!
just found your channel , i watch john luc from manchester we’re you from
mate i’m
manchester charity shops car boots etc doing ok, away at the minute with work sales have dropped due to listings dropping off was doing 10-20 a day everything seller part time getting £7,800 over 3 months so not bad at all for a new seller
Sorry I’ve only seen this comment! I appreciate you watching! Jon Luc is a legend. Sounds like you’re doing really well
Comment for the UA-cam algorithm God's. 🤜 Great content Pete. 👌🏻
Blessed bro 🙏 😂 cheers mate!
Great video! What platforms do you sell the clothes on?
Normally just eBay but I have been recently using Poshmark
Hi. Just found your channel and love it! What is the 5:1 ratio
Hi thanks for your message! It’s a simple formula I use to quickly think of something is worth buying. Example, if I see something priced at 7.99, I multiply it by 5 then check to see if I could make that amount on the item, in this case it would around £40. It means I avoid buying just because it’s there and wasting money
@@Chaddypete cheers that makes a lot of sense
Subbed when i seen Max and paddy ref 😂
😂😂😂
Heya mate im Carl im from Norfolk im a fellow reseller but clothes isn’t really my bag as ive never really tried! More into retro toys and games! Haha gotta say thou first time ive come across your channel today and really enjoyed it so far well done! Gonna subscribe for sure
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!
im trying to learn about clothing and reselling them , wqhats the best way to learn about clothing and reselling them please?
Best way is to go out and research everything you pick up, build up that knowledge to a point where you don’t have to research everything.
You in Swad in this vid lol? No wonder my spots are dry haha love the vids man !
😂 mate I’m all over the place! 1st time I’ve been Swad though
@@Chaddypete should check out Blaby, Wigston, Oadby & Hinckley if you ever try around Leicester :)
Fab video, do you check sold prices on eBay or elsewhere?
Normally just eBay but that’s where I sell most of the time
I can't believe New Balance shoes are so popular here in England. Back home in America, they are like a mid brand that Wal Mart carries etc.
ANYWAAAAAAY. Good video as always dude.
New Balance got big a few years ago all of a sudden. The ones I picked up are very popular but there’s some which really sought after! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
They are so comfy and look good
Where do you sell your items you find ???
I sell mostly on eBay
This could cause charity shops to start increasing their prices, also what if the clothes in the charity shop are from a dead person.
Probably shouldn't share this.. But if you find something you like and it's expensive, 9/10 times if you rip the price off and go ask the price you'll get it much cheaper.
😂😂 I don’t think I could get away with that!
Thanks for the tip 😉🤫
Clarity shops are charging to much in my area
The ones in my area have hardly anything, that’s why you’ll find me on the other side of country sometimes 😂
Mans in swad
🔥🔥 it was a good day!
RIP Meatloaf
Absolute legend 🐐
With looks of it he pays the bills from all Adverts he put on his videos KMT
You think I put the adverts on the the video?
Turn on the captions for the intro and thank me later XD
😂😂😂 I think I was to be honest!
Some lovely pieces there! Cheers for the content, helped me recently with a couple of pick ups and brand recognition 👍🏼
That’s great to hear! I’m glad the videos help out!
i love how your so confident to walk through the towns and the charity shops and talk into the camera, i struggle to talk to people on facetime without getting nervous
😂😂 I have lost my sense of shame
absolutely love this channel. straight to the point and relatable. Just popped out today got a few things in my local town. Keep killing it dude
Thank you mate, I appreciate the kind words!
I work in a charity shop and these videos help me to look out for labels and learn prices
Thank you! When you know the best price point you can sell stuff much quicker!
What are you a lexicon?
Another great video. Been out myself today and must admit i struggle to find one item to make money on. All charity shops seem to check and price up the good stuff or ebay it themselves.
The shops tend to know most items but there are always shops that don’t care and price low anyway as they know it’s free and its better to turn stock over, rather than try and get home run sales!
Nice finds! There always seems to be some good stuff in your locals! I'm in a smaller area so don't often find as much good stuff. I picked up a box of Vintage cameras so hoping there's some good stuff in there. And also found a Scotch&Soda blazer, wouldn't have known to pick it up if I didn't watch you videos 😂
Oh nice one! The Scotch so do pretty well! Hope you have a good time with the cameras, that’s like my second favourite thing to pick up!
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Hello mate, I’m waiting to start trying to buy and sell, do you have any tips for buying stuff from charity shops? What to look for?, would be much appreciated for any tips
Best thing to do is research things around your house to see what’s worth!
@@Chaddypete when you first went into actually looking in the shops did you just searched the clothing that looked like it could be worth something on eBay and just go from there?
Whats the best place to resell? Vinted? Ebay? Or somewhere else?
Levis are funny with their jeans, with modern ones, if they have a little label stitched into the inner waistband which says Levi’s premium then they are higher quality/ high street stock. Ones without are outlet stock :)
Yes they are very weird with it!
Im just starting out and im happy if i can double the price on sale 😂 buy for £5 sell for £10 🤷♂️
Yeah mate! It’s all a process! Apologies for the late reply!
Good to see an English man doing this stuff, it always seems to be Americans or Canadians that are doing them,
Sometimes I think charity shops can over price somethings. I get that they have to make money to send to the charity and money to keep the shop open. The one piece of advice i can give is if you go charity shopping round rich areas the items are things really good but expensive.
Cheers!! They are getting more expensive
How do you find items in every shop in every video to buy and sell for profit I can go round my whole town week after week and find maybe 1 item
I go into alot more shops than I record! Its hard work!
How to find those shops?
They are all over. Google a Charity shop nearby and it will come up
Chaddypete I am Muhammad in UK and I got introduced to you through George (retro seller / ur meeting at vintage sale). You are GREAT brv. Good info...All to the point...No waste of time. Keep up the good work. I have subscribed and will be watching your vids.
Cheers bro, I really appreciate it!! I’m always trying to improve my content so I’m glad that is getting there! Thanks for supporting the channel.
You really have to know your stuff! I don't know brands so I would miss everything
It takes time but you can build up the brand knowledge over time! Thanks for watching!
Hi, Pete. thank you for your wonderful video. it has been really helpful. Do you ever make up any follow-up vidoes to show people what you have made from each item?
Hi I used to make them but they are not very popular and they take a lot of editing time.
@@Chaddypete Cheers , Pete
I found some orlebar brown swimming trunks very much like that.. I think I paid £3.99. They sold within minutes for £45. . Great selling brand to look out for
Yeah Orlebar Brown is a beaut brand! Love finding it! Thanks for watching!
Yes mate at last a uk based seller that is actually fun to watch and makes decent videos. Nice one buddy just subscribed as well 👌👌
Thanks for that! Really appreciate it!
Just made my first step last week to buy items and try my luck at this and I spent £40 on items sold £215 worth (not all my stuff) cost me £35 to send so a tidy profit it was your channel that gave me the courage to do it
Mate I'm the exact same as you. I'm a reseller in the UK too and I sell my chazza shop finds on Vinted. I make quite a bit of profit tbh
Loving that work space you got there mate. Very useful videos for me. As I only have charity shops to go at atm. So I learn something from every clip you upload! Just have to improve on my product photos next. Spent a small fortune on different light boxes. And none of them are very good. Cheers 👍
Thanks for watching! There’s a lot of elements that people don’t realise so I hope your enjoying the process!
@@Chaddypete I am mate, thank you 👍
Please can you add a photosensitive warning please?
The stripes cause flickering effects.
Ok will do
@@Chaddypete nice video, you make it fun. 😊
There was someone else whose videos were similar but I stopped watching as he stopped making it fun and seemed to almost blame charity shops for not having what he wanted in stock. You kept it light and funny. 🤗
@@TheSkye077 I appreciate that thank you! Charity shops can charge whatever they want, it’s for good causes at the end of the day!
Nice finds! You’re always rocking a good band tee too 😎
My band tee collection is pretty limited 😂 I’m always on the look out though!!
Excellent haul and that 5-1 ratio is a good one to bear in mind.
Thank you for watching! The 5-1 ratio I find very useful, it may be a bit overkill but it helps to protect your bottom line 😂
Can just buy vintage clothes wholesale and resell. Huge profit
great content
Thank you
How come jeans get sent back a lot?
With upper body clothing there’s a lot of wiggle room with measurements, lower body has to be nearly exact!
MashAlah
nice thanks for sharing. join u friend best wishes 4 You!
Thank you brother 🔥
You know your stuff. Good luck to you.
Thank you for watching!
Cool, You did Castle Gresley, Swadlincote, Burton Upon Trent, Tutbury, Hatton then where did you go after that @chaddypete ????. Did you have a good day lad.
Yeah it was very good round there! The last bit was I think middle of Derby i think, can’t remember
Hey man, can you give a list of clothing brands i should look out for?
Hi mate if you send us a DM on insta, I’ll see what I can do
Thank you for your videos, amazing value. I started to resell few months ago but focused on anything but not clothes (bought some few times). I started to learn from your videos what kind of brands to look for as it takes some time to know what to look for.
Do you only buy clothes?
Many thanks.
Hi yes I normally just pick up clothes but if there’s other stuff I see that I know sells, I will pick it up
The best UK seller I've seen on UA-cam since I've been looking on here. Pretty much the same as the other comments, very informative, great details and tips. Keep it up 👍
Thank you for the feedback! Really appreciate it!
wreath goals on the front door
That’s nothing to do with me 😂 the wife has those skills!
Thanks for the video. You're really knowledgeable, and you have a nice manner. You're switched on, I really liked your video. Nice home too ♦💯
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the support
Wow. This really shows what can be done if you know your stuff. I wouldn't have known half those clothing brands. 😂
Thanks for watching 🙏🔥
Amazing finds I can’t seem to find things but you’ve given me ideas to check eBay whilst in store. Where are you from can’t figure your accent ❤
I’m actually from Oldham!
Can I ask. When you sell, do you start it off on bidding and let the market decide the value or do you sell for a buy it now price?
I normally use buy it now. Auctions more often than not hang around the start price nowadays
@@Chaddypete thanks
This will help me with reselling thank you
Nice finds! That nike jacket was 🔥
That jacket was a beaut mate! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Did you say you had no signal? I've found the Vodaphone masts reach into the back of charity shops better than EE.
I’m with 3 but I’m not very happy with the signal reach. Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into it
Top video mate
Thanks for watching!
Your videos help me boost my knowledge of clothes, I’m pretty good at most other things but Clothes not so much unless it’s an obvious good make or sports shirts etc
That’s really good to hear! Clothes are a good addition to any inventory
Love how you explain things in detail mate! Priceless for beginners like me!
I’m going to start doing more of these videos!
Thanks for this video
I have learnt alot about different brands n labels
You find some amazing stuff
Glad the videos help! Thanks for watching 🙏
Nice
In my local charity shop the men’ shirts are £10+ , no bargains :(
Yeah some shops can be like that! I’m guessing you’re in the South?
Thanks for this vid. Absolutely love your content. 👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
Just came across your channel I mostly only sell crystals but your giving me an idea to sell other things thank you and maybe open another shop
Thank you for watching! Clothing can be a nice addition!
lower you accepted prices jesus
How can you tell what’s worth money and what’s not without spending ages in the shop
It takes practice! You start off slow then get quicker as you get used to what’s normally there
Levi’s Signature are sold at Walmart for much less than regular Levi’s
I thought as much! The quality isn’t the same
Hi where are the shops you visited please? The Sue Ryder looks like Swadlincote but I would like to know the others so I can visit myself 😊
The rest of the shops were in Burton from what I can remember
@@Chaddypete thank you so much 😊 I think I’ve managed to track most of them down now. The Bernardo’s at Church Gresley threw me off and I never knew about the Mencap in Derby!
Love that you share your knowledge im glad i found your channel
Thanks you for watching. Just out here trying to help the community 🔥
you must live in a posh area cos all my charity shops have nothing
I drive all over the place to find these stuff!
So many great deals where you are-in south London its hard to find anything good and if you're lucky to do so it'll be way over-priced to match ebay so no room for profit.
I’ve only been to London a couple times but I remember having to be extra picky! There were lots of good brands but heavy prices 😂
@@Chaddypete great video though mate - always enjoyable and informative. Keep them coming!
Great video! Nice Descendants t-shirt. Love that band.
Cheers mate! It’s one of my favourite tees. I picked it up because of the Santa Cruz element but I like the band now 😂
Unreal how often you get such good quality. Cant find such good pieces very often.
Thanks mate! It’s hard work as you know 😂
This is Swad 😆
yo i love your video bruv. cheers from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate you supporting the channel! 🔥
hey brother, thank you for sharing this. i have recently started reselling and these videos are really helping to show me what to look out for. thank you bro
No worries mate! Thanks for the support!
@@Chaddypete anytime brother! You had some fantastic finds bro, those Adidas Shorts!!!!! What a 💎
Good insight dude. Do you source everyday?
I actually only source once a week. If I do a full shift 9-5 and stay disciplined, my budget should run out before the shops close 😂
Lol”you say dead nice?”
Nothing nice about “dead” bro
I’m from up North so it’s something we’ve always said.
@@Chaddypete Lol I kinda figured it out
But thanks for your great content just found you and subscribed
Can you actually make a living doing this like seriously pay rent and bills?
“SERIOUS Question “
Thanks
Brilliant !
