Farah Khan, I predict if you manage to get her that will be the best episode ever. She is so effortlessly funny and will have so many anecdotes and inside info.
Singh Is Kinng is such a fun story... that they made it thrice - as a comedy drama in 1933 Lady for a Day, then as a musical in 1961 Pocketful of Miracles and then as an action film Miracles in 1989 starring Jackie Chan and then as an Action Comedy Musical Singh is Kinng! DO IT ABBAS! #JusticeForAneesBazmee
Maybe this got missed coz it's one of the earlier ones, but just like Aseems ep, a personal fav is DON (Amitabh) with Hardik. Always liked the movie, but the backstories and context of movie in its time made me appreciate it in a whole new light. And hardiks love for movies and his knowledge to share made him a perfect guest. Hoping he gets called again!
Have you considered announcing the film you’ll be discussing beforehand on the Community tab so that viewers can ask questions for you to address at the end of the podcast? And since a guest might not necessarily work out, if you feel the need to, you can provide a disclaimer that it is in the works but there’s no guarantee. The guest doesn’t need to be revealed.
@@sardaarji249 Yes, they’re prerecorded. But I meant announcing it before the recording. Even if the episode is released a month or two after the recording, the questions aren’t time sensitive so there shouldn’t be an issue. They can even say this probably won’t be released before this date, but what are some points you would like us to address on the show.
Speaking of _Zabaan Sambhalke,_ I bet Jamie Alter would make a good guest. He does a lot of retro Hindi pop culture content on his channel. I bet he has stories from his late father, too. (Side note: I wonder if it ever bugged Tom _saab_ that he had to take that role pretending he couldn’t speak Hindi properly. Seems a bit like when Indian-American actors could pretty much only get work doing fobby, “comedic” accents in stereotypical roles, or terrible Middle Eastern stereotypes in dramas, which wasn’t all that long ago.)
I was just about to mention _How Did This Get Made?_ (I assume you meant that it’s “English” as in the language, not country of origin, since it’s an American pod). Only thing is that Jason, Paul, and June largely make fun of the movies they cover, many/most of which suck (as can be gleaned from the title), which I love, but apparently this audience doesn’t want. I’m a little skeptical that fan interaction (at least the kind _HDDGM?_ has) would work as well for this show, though, first the reasons Abbas and Urjita mentioned.
@@vinayakparashar3763 both badal and pj too have some nice perspectives specially if you see their old videos, I agree that now they only follow templates. But earlier they had unique perspectives
Hey Abbas and Urjita, loved your show! Would you consider creating a new series exploring overated and underated classic (bnw/colour) hindi and other language Indian films for the new age Audience who have not see those movies or may not think about watching those films over new movies. They may get engaged when you Delve into plots with BTS stories, cinematography, music, and their craze and impact on audience, showcasing rare clips, pics, and scenes from classics like Awara, Mera Naam Joker, and more.
I am aamir_aaa. Thanks for featuring my question. Just a small suggestion responds to atleast some if not many comments on videos. It will help with numbers as more people would be compelled to post a comment.
Please redo the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun episode. Aakash was a shit guest. Please get someone who has also watched Nadiya ke Paar and has a better understanding of how the Barjatya movies were made, both in the 70s and then in the 90s
14:57 is this the first time in the history of India that anyone has taken a feedback on record regarding stand up comics??? Kudos to you, guys. And Urjita, you're spot on. Raunaq is quite funny and that RHTDM episode was funny too. But the truth is, you guys couldn't go into the details about a lot of things. IMO a large chunk should've been saved for discussing the wonderful music, Maddy vs Samra college rivalry and their faceoffs, you guys barely touched upon the Tamil version, and how that's equally toxic and speaks about the sensibilities twenty years ago pan-India. Whenever Urjita tried speaking about something, Raunaq would stop her dead in the tracks with a joke, almost making it seem like if you do not poke fun at every aspect of the film for 60 mins you're a sexist
Please do rocket Singh. I think it's aged well with time for me but would like to know your views. Big fan of this channel.
‘Welcome’ is timeless. I liked it in the theatre only. Also, Mallika Sherawat has agency in the movie.

I’d love to talk about Maine Pyar Kiya, Angoor, original Golmaal.

But how many had Snoop Dog's song?
My suggestion for an achievable dream guest is Renuka Sahane
Anupama Chopra is also a very attainable dream guest
20:25 As someone who was on a podcast, I forgot many points and may have blanked out a few times. Happens to the best of us (points to self)
Urjita is too polite ❤

@38:30 I think what you mean to say was that they were more aligned with sitcoms whereas traditionally Indian shows were soap operas.

But the reviews are pre recorded sometimes they post it the 2nd month from recording so don’t think it would be possible

9:47 The ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ épisode is still very dear to me.

As a fan of the show, this episode was great, most of the questions were as though i am asking them.. keep doing it guys
7:44 theres a english podcast called "How Did That Get Made" that does live movie discussions and fan interactions
Just a suggestion

5:39 OMG ANKIT YOU HAVE TO BE HERE PLZ

I loved Raunaq’s rhtdm episode because if he hadn’t called it as it is (toxic movie) i would not have found your podcast credible
Also loved Akash Mehta’s take on Hum Saath Saath Hain because we should be able to be honest about the things we loved as kids
Congratulations on 18K Subscribers!
Call "men of culture" Or Dil dosti cinema
They don't know about cinema they only know mainstream cinema
I think only Mohit can be a guess he suits the format and is more knowledgeable about cinema
That's what I feel

You have to get Farah Khan and or Anupama Chopra for ‘Sholay’.
@Urjita - You we’re talking about Surbhi and not Rangoli
5:26 You should call Sushmita aka The Quartet Ticket Movie Show. Very funny and insightful.
She is on our list! ❤
Kullu wala ep was best
Urjita also thinking 'Ye Kya Kar Rahe Hain, Itni English ki Zarurat Nahi Thi'
