so, starting off with generations
each gen lasts about 5 years !
1st gen : 2003 - 2008
2nd gen : 2008 - 2013
3rd gen : 2013 - 2018
4th gen : 2018 - 2023
5th gen : late 2022 - now
groups like bts , blackpink, and twice are 3rd gen, groups like skz, aespa, txt, and enhypen are 4th gen.

issues - the kpop industry is very toxic and often the idols are underpaid and mistreated. Fanwars start off with comparisons. (Ex. _ is better than _)
Fandoms of groups are very serious about the groups they like, and will defend them. That is why if u have an opinion on a certain group, keep it to yourself. U will most likely get attacked by any Fandom.

Before you start reacting to them, i would like to tell you about them a bit more :)
So NCT is a group of 26 members and i know that sounds like a lot but its good to know that most of the time they are in split units. So in Nct127 theres 9 members, in Nct dream theres 7 members, in WayV theres 6 members. NCT stands for "Neo Culture Technology". Most of the units are fixed units so that pretty much mean that theres the same members in that group and song no matter what but Nct u isn't a fixed unit so pretty much for Nct u, they pick out members that would fix the concept of that song and put them in one song. I do recommend watching a guide for nct, nct units and the members! hope this helps!!
