As someone who works in the plastic injection molding industry I am always very impressed with the tooling and quality of of the plastic molded parts in their kits.

Very nice looking kit, the Volvo's are always good to be honest. I can't wait to see what you do with it!!

I actually drive the updated version of the real truck a 2024 FH500 6x2 with a midlift non steering axle. It's great to drive and coincidentally pulls a triaxle fridge trailer

Nice looking kit, but I agree with what you said at the end of the video. We need some licensed North American trucks. You'd think they could leverage their Volvo Europe connections to partner with Volvo US and make a VNL. We don't have any licensed trucks now that the Cascadia is gone, unless you count the Ford Aeromax but I can't remember the last time I saw a full scale Aeromax.

Nice truck, but a bit easy from Tamiya, the body with all the attachments was already used twice, all they did was add some aero and a driver😂

I like to see that Tamiya is thinking about the MFC during the design of the kit AND retaining the interior. Also including the mounting hardware in the kit.

Yes, I hope they continue to think about it in new kits...

Hi Bob, have you had a problem with the Beier new update v1.40b, because I have it doesn’t seem to like some of the horns . Yours Roy.

Hi Bob , question, if I’m using 2 flysky receivers (1 on truck , 1 on trailer) and using 2 esc (1 on truck, 1 on trailer) do I need to CUT the RED wire on 2nd esc on trailer? The trailer will have it’s own battery supply. Any advice would be welcomed. Enjoyed the video .

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  27 днів тому +1

The red wire on the ESC's provide 5 volt power to the receiver. So it you are plugging in more than one ESC to a receiver you only need one with the red wire. If you are using another way to power your receiver than you can also remove the red wire. If the trailer only has one ESC you should leave the red wire and power the receiver off of that.

@@HobbyconceptsLLC ok 👍 Bob thanks for the info.

@@HobbyconceptsLLC Hi Bob, further to my message, when I bind the truck everything ok, when I bind the trailer everything ok, but the truck receiver goes out of bind, when I rebind the truck receiver the trailer receiver goes out of bind, do you have to bind both receivers at the same time ie with bind cable in each receiver, both truck and trailer have their own esc and battery supply . I’m using Flysky i6x with 10 channels in both units, the trouble seems to be binding both receivers together. Any advice welcome 🤗 Thanks John

Ha! No, it was in there. So funny they have that holdout from the old days!!

Well I suppose it wouldn’t be an official Tamiya kit without the tube being included.😃😃😃

grreat video, when are you going to build the orlando hunter?
and when posting a build video, please dont start it with the complete truck finished built. It ruins the fun and "surprise"

But is it shorter than a globe liner?

It should be. Euro trucks are 99% cabovers and single drive axle in order to cope with the smaller roads and cities. US trucks are mostly nose engine tandem driven with large sleeper sections. So it's almost certain that it's way shorter.

Same body as the tow truck.

I don't know. Might be alone on this but I'm tired of the euro trucks. They basically look the same to me

Unfortunately you can say the same about American trucks. Believe it or not there is more variety of real euro trucks to model after than American trucks. Also tamiya caters to the euro market B/C there is better penetration of the market to profit on over there. But I do agree with you… we need more American options

@@felixsantana17 "Believe it or not there is more variety of real euro trucks to model after than American trucks." I don't know if I agree with that. Maybe there is more variety to the Euro trucks than I'm aware of but in the US we have old style square nose OTR trucks, aero OTR trucks, square and slope nose vocational trucks, old style cabovers and even one new-ish cabover (Freightliner Argosy). And we can choose from Kenworth, Western Star, Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo, Freightliner, International and some other small time manufacturers.
