i love all your uploads. my husband and i have recently moved from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland - so there is quite a difference in weather and temperatures and therefore fashion. your Autumn and Spring wardrobe would be suitable all year round here (except in Summer 😅) but i’ve held on to all my beautiful winter coats and boots for when we travel back to Melbourne for our getaways. thank you for being your lovely self and as always, thank you for the inspiration 😊

One little question… My husband and I are coming to the UK, the latter two weeks of May, and I can’t bring a lot of shoes. I’m just going to do carry-on! But I love clothes! Would you bother with sandals, if we are just going to be walking around all day in the UK, basically every day, come rain, or shine?
I live in a north-western state in the U.S. where we can have all seasons present in a single week. Most cold-weather. things have to stay out until June or July, then back out in September. I am very excited to wear linen and dresses without leggings! I only have a dress or two that looks good layered up in the fall/winter time. The rest are all meant for warm weather. I really like slides, I like the comfort of Dad sandals, but I just don’t like the way they look on my legs. They make my feet looked enormous so I’m looking for a more sleep alternative. I did just get a pair of Teva sandals to try and I think I need to find a good shade close to my skin tone to help offset the chunkiness. I found that with loafers, Dad sandals, even some boots, if I get a more tan or nude color, it makes a style more wearable for me and my body proportions.
I’m excited to wear some button up shirts I thrifted last fall, my cotton culottes, jeans, cotton dresses, silk and linen blouses, nylon shorts, and sandals.

To me, it’s officially spring and summer when I can haul out my linen trousers. The end of last summer I bought a blue chambray pair and a black pair and had them cut off into shorts, and this year I have the same colors of long pairs along with a flax color. Living in a northern climate, I only have about three months to wear them and it feels like vacation every day when I can wear linen trousers.

I am the opposite to most people and tend to have a body temperature that leans towards high - and I actually get anxiety wearing a jumper without a tank top underneath. Taking my dog for a walk and starting to overheat in a knitted sweater is what my nightmares are made of.

Yes Emma the prospect of having to prep my feet & paint my nails regularly fills me with dread and my toes are horrible so I much prefer hiding them! Can't wait for the house update video. Have a great Sunday x

I can’t think of a brand that has a pair in stock right now but the fabric will be a big thing. Anything linen, lightweight cotton etc will be much less opaque. You’d need lining in trousers made out of linen or cotton to make them less see through but that defeats the idea of light summer trousers that will keep you cool. Aside from the off white ones in this video which are a much thicker fabric, I wouldn’t wear them in Summer 🥵, I have some linen ones and they are a bit see through but nothing some nude underwear doesn’t fix 🙌🏼

I would love to get one of your blazers, but their 5 inch shoulder would just be enormous on me, it would extend at least 2” on each side from my shoulder line. Having the shoulders on a lined blazer narrowed cost $150-200 where I live (Northern California). Also, the sleeves would be much too long, and perhaps the body length, as well. Could you use your influence to get them to make a Petite version? Many English women are generally so much taller and bigger boned than we petites from other parts of the world are, thanks so much, Emma. The average US woman is 5’4” tall, and a size 16 US (20 UK).
We have discussed a petite range but from the majority of consumer feedback it wouldn’t be worth making from a waste perspective. We did expand the smaller size range and had feedback from Petite customers that this was perfect for them. Unfortunately we haven’t had enough requests for a petite range to warrant making one and we have to consider sales and waste x

I'm exited to wear my linen shirts and trousers again, as soon as the weather permits. I put them back into my wardrobe last week and am not so patiently waiting for the temperature to reach that magical 18°C mark. From this point out, until at least September, I am practically living in linen.

I’m building up my Birkenstock collection. Love getting pedicures, but I’m frugal and do them mostly myself. I can save $50 on a pedicure and use it to buy my Birk’s!
This one is a size that’s no longer available. It was just called ‘basket’ and is in between a small and medium. It was from when the bag was first released and they didn’t have all the sizes but I was told by an associate at Loewe that they changed suppliers for the basket bag and then after the first season the sizes changed x
Hi Emma - Another great video! I've just treated myself to the black Ducie Sonia dupe of the Chanel Dad. I've been walking around the house to break them in ready for the warm weather and oh my are they comfortable! And as I'm wide footed with big plates of meat (I.e. feet for the non-East Enders!🤣), it was great to find a more luxe brand that fits me nicely. I've also found some dupes of the Dear Frances Kin sandal and also their knotted sandal (though this with a sling back) in M&S of all places! So I'm set up for summer footwear! I’ve just spent all morning changing my wardrobes - quite a task- as here in Greece its fairly defined winter to summer wear . I have bought a few linen pieces this year,two pairs of trousers,Bermuda’s and a top so can’t wait to wear them! Excellent video Emma. I am looking forward to wearing my linen shirts, trousers and sandals. My feet are happiest when they are in sandals. I have regular pedicures throughout the year (needed because of some painful toe issues). In mid April I have my first pedicure with polish - a classic red- and then I am ready for wearing my open toed footwear. At the end of September the nail polish stops as do the sandals 😢
I'm really excited to wear my new sundress, but that also means I have to get a pedicure and feet cleanse which is my least favourite thing as I am very tickle-ish. Cheers for the inspo tho, excited to get some new stripey things :D

New subscriber here! I am new to your channel, it popped up in all my video watching of spring basics and capsules. I have to say, your style is quite a bit different in that you don’t tuck everything! I am mostly a secondhand shopper and have found some very unique gems over the years! I’m currently in a bit of a style redo, figuring out where I’m at currently that’s a bit challenging! I definitely like the look of high waisted pants and the tucked in look, making my legs look taller, but with some things it’s just very uncomfortable and I find myself putting those things that are not comfortable tucking in, to the side for potential decluttering. You might be changing my mind about that! Do I really need to tuck everything? Everyone I watch here is tucking shirts and any top in or wearing cropped styles. I guess it all comes to preference!

I can’t think of a brand that has a pair in stock right now but the fabric will be a big thing. Anything linen, lightweight cotton etc will be much less opaque. You’d need lining in trousers made out of linen or cotton to make them less see through but that defeats the idea of light summer trousers that will keep you cool. Aside from the off white ones in this video which are a much thicker fabric, I wouldn’t wear them in Summer 🥵, I have some linen ones and they are a bit see through but nothing some nude underwear doesn’t fix 🙌🏼

I would love to get one of your blazers, but their 5 inch shoulder would just be enormous on me, it would extend at least 2” on each side from my shoulder line. Having the shoulders on a lined blazer narrowed cost $150-200 where I live (Northern California). Also, the sleeves would be much too long, and perhaps the body length, as well. Could you use your influence to get them to make a Petite version? Many English women are generally so much taller and bigger boned than we petites from other parts of the world are, thanks so much, Emma. The average US woman is 5’4” tall, and a size 16 US (20 UK).
We have discussed a petite range but from the majority of consumer feedback it wouldn’t be worth making from a waste perspective. We did expand the smaller size range and had feedback from Petite customers that this was perfect for them. Unfortunately we haven’t had enough requests for a petite range to warrant making one and we have to consider sales and waste x

I'm exited to wear my linen shirts and trousers again, as soon as the weather permits. I put them back into my wardrobe last week and am not so patiently waiting for the temperature to reach that magical 18°C mark. From this point out, until at least September, I am practically living in linen.

This one is a size that’s no longer available. It was just called ‘basket’ and is in between a small and medium. It was from when the bag was first released and they didn’t have all the sizes but I was told by an associate at Loewe that they changed suppliers for the basket bag and then after the first season the sizes changed x
Hi Emma - Another great video! I've just treated myself to the black Ducie Sonia dupe of the Chanel Dad. I've been walking around the house to break them in ready for the warm weather and oh my are they comfortable! And as I'm wide footed with big plates of meat (I.e. feet for the non-East Enders!🤣), it was great to find a more luxe brand that fits me nicely. I've also found some dupes of the Dear Frances Kin sandal and also their knotted sandal (though this with a sling back) in M&S of all places! So I'm set up for summer footwear! Southern Hemisphere here … so not exactly excited for sandals right now lol … but I am looking forward to wearing a couple of H&M premium cashmere jumpers I purchased recently (a lovely boxy taupe number and a chunky black and ivory striped one ) plus, a long black wool felted tailored coat from Zara I snagged for a steal during the Boxing Day sale. I have 3 white button up shirts and almost never wear them. I guess a white shirt is not always a staple in everyone’s wardrobe.

I love your style and my personal preferences are so similar - simple lines,minimalistic,comfortable with an overall chic, casual and slightly androgynous look. I’ve just spent all morning changing my wardrobes - quite a task- as here in Greece its fairly defined winter to summer wear . I have bought a few linen pieces this year,two pairs of trousers,Bermuda’s and a top so can’t wait to wear them! Excellent video Emma. I am looking forward to wearing my linen shirts, trousers and sandals. My feet are happiest when they are in sandals. I have regular pedicures throughout the year (needed because of some painful toe issues). In mid April I have my first pedicure with polish - a classic red- and then I am ready for wearing my open toed footwear. At the end of September the nail polish stops as do the sandals 😢

New subscriber here! I am new to your channel, it popped up in all my video watching of spring basics and capsules. I have to say, your style is quite a bit different in that you don’t tuck everything! I am mostly a secondhand shopper and have found some very unique gems over the years! I’m currently in a bit of a style redo, figuring out where I’m at currently that’s a bit challenging! I definitely like the look of high waisted pants and the tucked in look, making my legs look taller, but with some things it’s just very uncomfortable and I find myself putting those things that are not comfortable tucking in, to the side for potential decluttering. You might be changing my mind about that! Do I really need to tuck everything? Everyone I watch here is tucking shirts and any top in or wearing cropped styles. I guess it all comes to preference!
