I have a story like this. In December, I was going to see something at a theatre with my mum, aunt and my two younger cousins. We arrived at a shopping centre very close to the theatre to eat lunch. One of my cousins is always saying how much he hates chicken and how much he refuses to eat chicken. At the shopping centre, we decided to have McDonalds and my cousin said "Mummy, can I have chicken nuggets because I love chicken nuggets?" and I just stared at him like "I thought you hated chicken"
I don't know who this wonderful producer is, but I'd love to see more of her. I love all the items in this list and as a beginning meal-prepper and teacher I plan on using them for myself. Also, I love the personal touch of talking about her niece and nephew. I teach in schools with kids who have trauma in their backgrounds and it fills me with joy to hear about someone who is so excited and loving of kids from a tough situation. Thank you for what you do, both raising your niece and nephew and as a producer!

Claire, I really respect you a lot for caring for your niece and nephew the way you do. I was raised by an Aunt + Mom combo too, and lets just say my experience with her is not the same. She was overbearing, manipulative and used me as a weapon to get what she wanted from my mom. She never let me forget what a huge favor she was doing me, even though she was leeching off my mom more than she was contributing to my care. So to see that you have such a loving and genuinely caring pure relationship with yours is honestly making me well up right now. I wish I had an Aunt like you growing up.
Wow these kids are so lucky, there was one time in 4th grade, my mom was really busy so she gave me the same food for 2 weeks straight and I didn't eat any, when I got home my mom yelled at me and told me she wouldn't make food for me again, I brushed it off but she seriously didnt make me any food. Then, I started making my own food and found out how time consuming it was so to all the moms in the world, I salute you for taking some time from your day to make food for your kids

I’m a college student and watching this. How fitting. But in actuality I love these ideas! I’ve done competitive sports in high school and plan to resume again next year and simple/healthy lunches are actually the best for it. Especially when the stuff in it is cold, fresh, and has some degree of moisture to it (eating a dry bagel with peanut butter sucks for example).
I made these for my Dad (57 years old) to take to work. 😂 I like the idea of embarassing him in front of his co-workers with the "kiddie-style meals" but he didn't seem to really mind. I mean, he is more proud to show off the lunchbox his teenage daughter made specially for him than to feel embarassed. 😂😂 Kinda feel bad right now. Tomorrow I will make him a normal lunchbox.
As a kid I always got a prepeared lunchbox from my father. But in Highschool I started to always buy my lunch at the canteen and also snacks during breaks where always brozght there. Now I am a stundet and guess what? I make lunchboxes again. And sometimes when I visit my parents my father makes me a sandwich and I turn 10 again. My mother is also the best when it comes to use leftovers and creating something new and delicious. I am so happy and proud to have my family.

You get a sandwich and a juice?! I get a sandwich which goes all over my box and gets too soggy and breaks into crumbs _just like meh heartt smh_ and a juice box with a missing straw or sometimes I don't even get juice or water at all. Lmao😂
Wrapping the apple back together does help a little with browning, but it does still get brown. A better and more flavorful way is to chop it up like normal, put it in a baggie and drizzle lemon juice on top. The longer it stays in the fridge like this too the more 'cooked' the apple gets while keeping the crispness of it too. So it ends up coming out sweeter and tarter because of the sugars being cooked out and the acid soaking in.
