Can you make a new key (due to all keys lost) from a key code offsite at customer's home off line with only iphone running xhorse apps? I understand the machine doesn't have offline database to make a new key from key code? Am I correct? Also can this machine cut double sided Toyota Camry keys?
Great demo thanks. I am saving and planning to buy this machine but I am skeptic after watching a video on UA-cam of the machine cutting hon66 key, the cutting didn't seemed to come out as nicely as I have seen one from xc mini. Please have you tried it with hon66 key and what's your opinion on that. Thanks
I have the Dolphin. It cuts a Hon66 key nice. Works fine in the lock. Only thing is the center blade is thinner than OEM. You can change the settings for a thicker blade but I don't think it will retain that setting.
Update on the Honda HON66 key. If I use the default setting for cut Depth which is 1.05mm, the blade looks pretty thin. If I cut both sides with 1.00mm the blade is too big to fit. However if I cut one side with 1.00mm and the other with 1.05mm, the blade looks more like an OEM key, and it works in the lock. The deeper cut on one side is not as noticeable as a thin blade. The step for depth of cut goes from 1.05mm to 1.00mm (.05mm) so the 1.05mm default is the closest you can get. I think it needs about 1.03mm or so but it doesn't have that option
Did you ever make a decision on this dilemma you were questioning as I'm looking at the 2 and can't see paying the extra $$$ for the mini unless there's something I'm not seeing??
@@dtnel if you can afford it get the mini because the software is built in.. its a stand alone unit.. vs the 005 that rely on a phone or the tool max to be used as a remote. the benefit of the 005 is.. if you don't have a van yet/ or if you don't want a van at all; you can do all the work in a regular/everyday car.

Porque me rompió un palpador (probe en inglés), nose si tendrá que ver el material porque en bronce funcionó perfecto pero cuando cambien de material se rompió el probe, será qué hay que calibrar cada vez que cambio de material aunque la combinación de la llave sea la misma que la anterior ?
Tengo una mini cóndor xc automática echa por la misma compañía y usa el mismo probe que está máquina (uso los 2 materiales de llaves ) y me ha pasado que se me rompió como 2 veces el probe pero creo que fue solo de uso ósea que ya estaba descastado el probé ojalá y te ayude!

I think it can retrieve code (maybe on similar machines). I am thinking of skip buying a duplicator machine and buy a key code machine instead and save money since it will do all cutting and more.

Some complaints. A: the universal duplication break probes all the time. This adds up in cost I have spent a few hundred bucks in probes.. bullshit in my opinion. B: I don't want to have two machines in my car so why not add the damn residential keys. Lazy lazy.
They have the residential key adapter for the Dolphin and I think it says it fits the mini. Does residential keys according to info I read on American Key Supply.
@@dtnel mabye instead of reading you should go try duplication of a single sided key (the image is wrong after the update too. ) On the M jaw. Seems like a pretty shitty software error.
@@Brettmlyons have you contacted the seller, whoever it may be that you bought it from as them as distributors have contacts with the mfrs, distribution level of xhorse. Is it a good machine overall? Couple questions as adding these services to my automotive immobilizer work. Do I need the M3 adapter and it doesn't show alot of vehicles? Also what Lishi tools for reading codes would you recommend as they can get it expensive it appears and don't want to buy stuff won't use. Like around here we have Honda, Toyota, Kia, Nissan, GM, Chevy but I are they make multiple Lishi for some brands. IS there a certain version number I need to look for in regards to a certain mfr? I also have the IM-608 by Autel, Snap-On Zeus which has some key learning. The IM-608pro that I have is full featured it seems. Can you tell me without key like on a all keys lost situation on newer cars with the IM-608pro can it pull the pin code from the ECM? I do have the G-Box for Mercedes and the APB device for programming Toyota key fobs. It's all new to me. IS there kind of a rate guide the industry goes by in regards to procedure done, type of and/or amount of programming on a key that let's locksmiths know the going rates for cutting, programming so we're not cutting each others throats? In Auto repair I charge what I charge and those who don't Want to pay I just move on as many customers willing to pay fair market pricing and for experience. It's not like we learn this stuff overnight. It's time, knowledge, etc they're paying for as well regardless of time it takes to get done as you have to recall the early days of starting out that it took alot longer due to new types of equipment, learning processes, time learning during off time at home self training, reading, etc. You don't wave a wand and bam you learn it. It's time you invest, develop strategies for approaching each process, vehicle differently. I Want to be part of the solution not the problem. I'll be applying for my NASTF next week also which gives the industry a voice as well.
@@Brettmlyons No need for a sour attitude we can be cordial with each other. Just trying to decide which machine to invest in as they're a chunk of change and this is the first I've heard. Maybe keep the extra machine for standard keys then not having to mess around is way to go. With battery and 12V power these days things aren't as bad as they use to be in the past.
The machine is garbage I bought four machines two weeks old and 2 of them are giving me problems they want to send me replacement parts on a two week old machine, I want a refund they can have their trash back.

It was supplied to the original car buyer at time of purchase. Otherwise, call a locksmith to come and replace your keys.

Wouldn’t get this. You need a phone and the app and wifi to cut keys and without 1 of them, you’re screwed and can’t cut keys.
