The harmony vocals are incredibly impressive.
That's what made me buy the album.
And in most of the live performances of this. They kick in the harmonies w/o guidance. They were on point
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
Still one of the best cuts off 'Whatever and Ever Amen'...
let's let the tempo be. we don't have to be on a click for our whole lives. yeah there's some push and pull here and there, the energy is great, just three guys doin it live.
Right in the beginning you can see a kid immediately head banging it’s beautiful
This concerts is fucking gold. So damn talented.
One of the most Generation X songs.
Saw them for this tour. Was a freakin amazing show.
So lucky. I never knew of them back then.
I remember. So good.
I gave this video a thumbs up .... But it deserves 2 thumbs up, so here's the other one! 👍
Craftsmanship defined.
such an amazing band
Dude I love this track its my number one ben folds track of all time but am I crazy or is this way uptempo from the album? Like holy crap warp 11 lol
This whole show has timing issues, but the songs are so good I don’t care haha
They rush a lot. Last Polka is FEROCIOUSLY fast! Lots of bands in the late 90’s rushed but it was part of the live energy.
The vocals are meticulous.
Speaking as a performing musician, it's very easy to do. You get up there, adrenaline kicks in, and suddenly you're off on warp speed. My current band doesn't have that issue because our drummer plays with an ear piece that has a click track going that helps him keep the tempo, but it's very easy for a band to rush during a live performance if they don't play with such a device.
Love this song
such a quality difference between lyrics and music on this one.
Crowd really rocking out. Were they paid to be still?
Franklin Mint reference haha.
You’re all dressed up...like The Cure
The og hipster song
Got to disagree; hipsters seem to be the battle of who (claim to) care Most.
Announced with many bumper stickers & ironic T-shirts.
2:23 lo dijo, lo dijo!
Sat next to him once on a flight to Australia.
and??????????? : )
Do you not hear me anymore
I know it's not your thing to care
I know it's cool to be so bored
I sucks me in
When you're aloof
It sucks me in, it sucks it works
I guess it's cool to be alone
Will you never rest
Fighting the battle of who could care less
Everyday you wake up late
Sometimes I wish I was
That way
And you think Rockford Files is cool
But there are some things
That you would change
If it were up to you
So think about your masterpiece (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Watch the Rockford Files
And call to see if Paul can score some weed.
Do you never rest
Fighting the battle of who could care less
Unearned unhappiness
That's all right I guess
I've got this great idea
Why don't we pitch it to the Franklin Fucking Mint
Fine pewter portraits of
General apathy and major boredom singing
Whatever and ever Amen
Oh well maybe not I'll try again
This should cheer you up for sure
See I've got your old I.D.
And you're all dressed up like the Cure
You never rest
Fighting the battle
Of who could care less
Unearned unhappiness
You're my hero I confess
I really hear a Steely Dan influence here.
Heard of Steely Dan but never listened to it. I might have to.
I think the shirt Ben is wearing once belonged to Schroeder
Makes sense. Ben is Schroeder all grown up ....
i DO think rockford files is cool, but there isn't anything i would change, if it were up to me
I've got this great idea.....
My old dorm next door neighbor..
who is the bassist???
Robert Sledge
Shaggy
What?! The Rockford Files isn't cool? I beg to differ !!!
It is cool, it's just that, if it were up to her, she would change some things about it. It's still cool though.
My old dorm neighbor… 🎶 🎹 🥁
The man with his arms folded behind the drummer is really bugging me
I still think Rockford Files is cool
Why did they speed up around the 40 second mark..the drummer time is off and goes faster
It's weird, because there normally didn't go out of time like that.
They are a playful trio. Wouldn’t be surprised if he did it on purpose to see if the others would keep up
The room is cavernous which makes it difficult for the band to hear themselves. And nerves.
the audience is so sedate.
I was there!!
Believe it or not, it's possible to *thoroughly* enjoy music without needing to demonstrate it outwardly. It's called being adult and considerate of others.
@@fretbuzz59 But injuring several people under 5'2 during the breakdown of Disasterpiece is fun
Is there not something horribly wrong with the drums? They sound like they're out of tune or something.
Holy shit. Wandering tempo is all over the place. Too bad, that would've been a great recording.
What?
The drummer is rushing. Big time
Intentional, probably, and if not, everyone plays together, so it’s still enjoyable to listen to
i mean he's playing fast, but i counted most of the song, he's not rushing, he's on beat fine.
@@quinnmarchese6313 No. lol
He's legitimately the worst drummer I know of for a band that went big. Every single live performance he rushes. Ben looks annoyed by it.
