Pauline Julien was a very a sensitive and emotional woman and singer. She would never sing a song she doesn't understand and feel the lyrics at the same time. She's one of those rare French Canadian women singer who could be compared to Barbara or Edith Piaf

Du temps où on avait des bons auteurs compositeurs chanteurs avec de vraies paroles sensées.

Pauline Julien a commencé sa carrière en 1951, Mathieu en 1965.
On sent néanmoins dans P Julien une sincérité qui est prenante.
Si l'une a imité l'autre, c'est forcément plutôt dans l'autre sens…
Elle a des ressemblances à Piaf.
