In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed - ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).
In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.
Stevie will ALWAYS be mystical and "witchy" too me. Whether she actually is one or not. That's why i love her she's magical and her voice mesmerizing...!!!
She is one.
@@rodias4748 no stevie is not a witch
@@rodias4748 It's a nice idea, lol, but there is no evidence that Stevie is a witch. It's a myth. She would make a great 'Queen of the Vampires' though, come to think of it.
Fun fact she is an ordained minister
@@dannystone4136 ofc she is, just look at the discography and portraits, ofc shes not accepting it publicaly cuz that would fuck her career up
Captivating imagery and so very indicative of my “Sister-of-the-Moon.” When a witch is feeling low & uninspired, she turns to Stevie Nicks’ videos to pull her up, give her a breath of fresh air, and remind her who she is.
Amen❤
That is so sad.
I know thats when i turn to stevie . My great mentor..
❤❤❤
Truth
The fact that she wrote this song because of twilight makes it even more beautiful 😭😭😭😭
She did not write this because of Twilight. Most of this song was written in the early days, life on the road with Fleetwood Mac. It was Twilight that inspired her to return to the recording studio and this song was just slightly tweaked to fit the additional narrative of Twilight. Stevie builds layer upon layer, always. This is what makes her songs timeless.
@@rebeccacomfort4185 i was just going by what she said in an interview but yes her songs are timeless regardless
She didn’t ride it because of twilight she finished it. At the concert I went to. She said this was a song she had started back in the 70s and never finished but she finished it for twilight.
@@rebeccacomfort4185Stevie Nicks is the Supreme empress of rock 🎶
This song is SO much better than Twilight...!!! 😂
I have been admiring Stevie's work since I was 14...I am now 42...her music has been a soundtrack for my life...
Same here for 51yrs since I was in the womb, grew up on her (and F’wood Macs) music. She is my Idol 😉🧙🏼♀️🔮
Me too! My life has always been paralleled to her songs
i can't believe this is twilight fanfiction in song form
Noooooo!!! Please tell me you're joking! I know Stevie is a Twilight fan but noooooo!! That'll ruin one of my favorite songs of hers! 😵
It's only partly that. The first and third verses were written in the 1970s/80s. The song was called "Lady from the Mountains" and never finished or formally recorded though you can find demos on UA-cam. The second verse, fourth verse, and the chorus were written after watching New Moon. It all fits together to make a fantastic song.
It’s true, she talks about her writing process. Twilight is one of the best and most successful stories of this age. I absolutely love it. And I absolutely love this song now.

I love that throughout her entire career, Sharon and Lori have always been Stevie's backup singers. They, along with Waddy, are a huge part of why I love Stevie and the found family she created. Her "Coven".
One of the most beautiful voices ever heard!
So beautiful~~~~~My girl since early 70's
Hi crabby,hope you’re okay ?
One of her most glorious songs ever, I can't get enough of it!

And she's the best there ever will be

Hell I'm 14, and I never thought I would like her music. Turns out, I'm in love. The lyrics of this song are very beautiful and same goes for all the others. But, I actually teared up while listening to this one.
Do u still love her music?😂✨
Her voice is perfect for the vampire theme of the video. I don't think I've ever heard her sing a song I didn't think was incredible. Hope she never quits.
Stevie's music is timeless and classic. 💜❤💛💚💙💖 She will forever be... THE QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL!!!! 💜💖💛💚💖❣
Stevie Nicks. The White Witch.(American Horror Story)
Love her.
Old Hippy She was great
Love that show, but
1.) She was known as the white witch before American Horror Story,
and
2.) Twighlight inspired her to write this song.
Stevie has an army of us. I'm so glad she was here in my lifetime. When it's her time, many of us will fly alongside her. She's kin.
Stevie and her band are full of magic , love her since i was a kid
Stevie is timeless and absolutely stunning! Her voice stands out so enchanting.
I was at the Boston 24 karat gold concert nothing will compare to seeing Stevie live that night the raw emotion and what she put into this song was absolutely life-changing💜💜
Beautiful. I just saw the most recent tour but she didn't do this. I was so hopeful.
That was one of her best concert performances ever she did such. Great job. You’re extremely lucky to have experienced that ❤
Watching her perform this live gives me the CHILLS! December 18th in LA will be the 5th time!
Chelcie Lynn just saw it live tonight!
+John Gustafsson yes John she changes your life with her performances! It's a must ❤
Chelcie Lynn Saw her perform this tonight in Raleigh. It put tears in my eyes. Absolutely beautiful !
Wow lucky! I hope to see her one day!
I saw her in LA too! and San Diego! Absolutely incredible both times.
If I had to pick a famous person to idolize or to look up to it would be you Stevie. I've heard your music since I was a small child. It is as if you are my spiritual musical mother bird. Teach me to spin.
lol man that sounds psycho

As a classically trained musician, I am in awe of the chromatic structure of the musical arrangements...one splendid, polyphonic harmony...
Never underestimate Stevie! She was and always full of surprizes! Lindsey did sit in on a few sessions on this album with no problems between them. you never know with those two they just might do an album together. We all know that deep down they are soul mates.
I lived in a mansion for 10 years built in 1861 that was haunted af; I just found out it had been recently demolished. This song and Secret Love truly take me back there and I'm listening to them on a loop and can't get them out of my head. Thank you Stevie for your beautifully haunting music and your goddess energy! Blessings to you and your loved ones!
I'm living in a 100 plus year old mansion. It's very haunted too.
@@shadowwolf2524 Are you doing alright? It was a life-altering experience that took me years to overcome.
That's so sad! I love old houses and I think that it is sad that a lot of people do not appreciate them.
I love Dave Stewart - he's such a creative force of nature. Glad he and Stevie have become a team.
It really pisses me off that Stevies' new music and videos are soooo under played and appreciated! Oh well.
You are joking! She does the worst album of her career and the thing sells far more than it should. UK188 and US#210 was where it deserved to really go! She's an American and as such will always be granted far more leniency than any brilliant UK or Europe singer from the best decade-the 80s. Kim Wilde, for instance, doesn't even get UK releases in her own country any more, Sandra, who's German, her last album was a masterpiece her fans she'd never make again since her slit from Enigma man Michael Cretu, Kirsty MacColl is prematurely dead and forgotten, I could go on. Even the few times the Americans have decent artists-they don't appreciate them. Bangles last album was a million times better than the pukey "In Your Dreams" and yet it has to land over a hundred chart places behind it. Stevie is past 60, she's had years of being lucky, she cannot expect to gain anything near the placements she had yonks ago, and is damn lucky she gets any attention with an album as crap as "In Your Dreams" with barely 3 decent songs on it. Her future with Fleetwood Mac is the only lucrative way forward-no wonder she's touring with them.
I see no record that this was a single, but it IS the best song by some way after 'Secret Love' from that thing, and what was she thinking, releasing that 'What Its Worth' crap, soundless, tuneless garbage as a second single? How can you get that wrong-on an album with only 2 truly perfect songs on it. Kris, Stevie has it lucky. The great Kim Wilde, Kirsty MacColl, Sandra, Shakespears Sister, Bangles do not, and Maggie Reilly's last release was way better to. Americans like Ste, Cyndi Lauper and the crap ones held in high regard-Tina Turner Chaka Khan, Madonna slag queen, Celine Dion, Pariah Carey, Janet Michael Jackson-they ALL have it easy, cos they're so God damned interchangeable, unimportant and past-it. America loves routine. Sadly the UK always has to copy as the suck-ups we are.
I personally like it and it's okay we don't agree...Happy Holidays to ya!
I will always like Stevie, but I think artists don't always get it right, and after six good albums, along a fair amount of good material never put on record-of which much is up on youtube now, she lost it with this one, but I'll never stop listening to her, just giving a break for the moment, but she has outlasted many others. Cheers, Kris, good times!
I just really think she did a great job on this one....cheers to you my friend and Happy Holidays!

You need your head examined!😲😲😲
My 40-plus-year love of Stevie is only augmented by songs of hers such as this. As she grows older and still retains her beauty, her lyrics grow longer and draw you into their complexity. To see her live as I have several times, you become ensnared in a dark web; she is riveting, compelling, and at times sinister, until she reverts back to the light. Black or white, may it never be extinguished. It's lovely to see Waddy along with violin virtuoso Ann Marie Calhoun; all in this video form a most intriguing family ... owl especially.
Fan since 1982 here. She never ever slacks on good music. Luv ya Stevie!
Stevie Nicks holding an Owl = the most badass thing ever XD been a fan of her music since i was a wee kid, my mom listened to her constantly
Stevie must have a direct connection to my soul. Always a beautiful poet, Always a beautiful song 🎵❤♥

I truly adore her. Her music is so heartfelt. The videos are wonderful to watch. I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac,always loved them, still do. There is only one Stevie Nicks!!!
I love the raw emotion in her voice. It's beautiful. I've always thought she has the voice of an angel.
Timeless style , timeless beauty , timeless class . Thank you , Stevie .
she sang this last night at MSG !! she sang it with so much passion it was absolutely amazing. I'm so grateful I got to see my idol in concert. love you forever Stevie ❤️
And the ICON continues🖤🖤🖤
I saw her in concert when I was younger & never forgot it. This video STILL moves me to tears.
Now, this is a visual reprsentaion worthy of Stevie's fantastic performing. I had seen the online trailer for "In Your Dreams", and couldn't stop watching it. The ending even made me cry (at least, the first three ?) times). "In Your Dreams" is one of Stevie's best albums". For those who don't already own it, you're missing out. I am so happy the full-length video of this was released. I'd love to see all of them strung together. This one deserves to be shown on the big screen at the movies.
Of all the wonderful songs on the "In Your Dreams" album (2011), this is the one that hooked me from the very first time I listened to the full album. As I found out in the documentary, and as I could feel listening to the song and watching this official video, it turns out this is the song that is the most personal of all, the one that Stevie connected with the most (while connecting wonderfully with the rest of the songs of the album, mind you). You can tell this one means more than the rest.
Also was inspired by new moon
The two chorus girls she has , I believe, are the same two girls she hire when both of them went on stage with Stevie and it was their first time. I guess they've been with her ecver since. And I'm not ashamed to repeat what many have already said. Stevie is beautiful and timeless. Her music will go down in history as one of the greatest female Rock n Roll artists, ever.
+Kevin Larson, Thank you for your reply. I felt that Stevie stayed true to this song in that it was about Bon Jovi, yet at the same time she talks about 'Castles of Candy' as a metaphor to most of our lives. It was a song that most people could relate to. Thanks again.
this song is inspired by Twilight not Bon Jovi
Her backup singers are Sharon Celani and Lori Nicks nee Petty, each very talented in their own right.
They are.
One of them is Stevie’s sister. What a talented family!

She rocked in Nashville!!
If anyone knows Stevie Nicks, this song is about a book that was written about 100 years ago. It's a love story that went wrong. In this world, some people hold's onto love and wait's. Other's give into their desire and forget's what true love is all about. Why it was played slow was because, when love is hurt deep inside.Sorrow set's in, a pain that paralyzes you deep inside. I think she did real good on this song.
Her. Music. Is. Soothing. To. A. Hurt. Soul. ...🌹

I'm not star struck. I had a conversation with Lisa Minnelli once, it was cool but Stevie is probably the only person I'd be nervous around. What could I possibly tell her that she hasn't already heard. She's not just a performer, she's the best songwriter of all time possibly. What could I say.

My first and only time seeing her live in concert was last fall at Great Woods in Massachusetts. I shit you not, the first song was outside the rain and the show had to end early due to a huge rain and lightning storm, and as soon as she started singing outside the rain it down poured and the clouds rolled and glowed with flashes of lightning. Some things you just cannot stage. I’m sorry but she is indeed a witch and a powerful one to give us such a divine experience. I’ll never understand how I missed a generations worth of her music.
