Some candles will come with instructions that say “cut wick to x length before use” and there’s a good reason for it! Different waxes may have different burn speeds, so that’s also a good thing too keep in mind. If you’re adding herbs or oils, understand that those are flammable and will likely affect the burn. So I was curious if my reading was correct or not. She didn’t film herself doing it like she did to other people, and also said she used clairaudience and heard him say “I’ll reach out when you’re ready” which made no sense to me because I don’t know what “ready” is supposed to look like and if he knew who I was he’d know I was autistic and didn’t understand what that meant. Gods, I have this plant that when I got it, it wasn’t doing super great, but once I moved it to a frog planter and painted the triple goddess sign and the horned god sign on it, it started to flourish. Cute story: In my mom's house, there's an altar to an African deity whom we call Dark Rider. He likes chocolate and black coffee and coins. It was mostly Mandy (Mom's roommate who is now moving to her wife's house) that worshipped him, but I've given him some stuff from time to time. Just the other day, I was going through some candy and found some twizzlers. Since neither me or Mom like twizzlers, I asked Dark Rider if he'd like them, and flipped one of his coins to decide. Needless to say, his mostly-empty altar now has some twizzlers 😊 Although now I must wonder who he actually is (we call him Dark Rider as to not appropriate African culture), and if he's gonna stick around here or follow Mandy to her new home. Witchtok deity worship perplexes me. How do so many people get callings from the same five deities from Greek pantheon, Freyja/Odin/Loki, Lucifer/Lilith, and if you want to add a little razzle dazzle... Anubis. Aren't there other pantheons/deities reaching out to people? 🤨
Maybe the other deities do reach out, but not call it witchcraft? Also, a majority of people don't really make these sort of videos and so, the ones that have similar deities sort of cluster together, you know? Like two people working with the Greek Pantheon might interact with each other more. Also, more advanced practitioners or those slightly more intense might not make these videos. They might not even know about TikTok. Just a theory.

So i had a feeling apollo was trying to reach out to me since i have been seeing literal swarms of crows every time i go outside. I'd have to see if there's historical reasoning for this but in my experience it has been the opposite. Athena sent Arachne to tell me to worship Athena! Given that there are myths where Arachne is Athena's student whom the Goddess teaches weaving and is later punished by Athena for a different crime (in this version of the story it's incest with her brother) then I'd argue that things might be a bit more complicated. Never an easy answer with the Gods.

I'm a little confused on the tricksters. I have repeatedly seen the same advice. 'Ask them about there history/lore (in reference to the deity they are trying to impersonate.)' If you, yourself are able to look up and easily find these answers, then why cant the trickster which is an entity do the same? I can understand for the low lvl tricksters or those that are lazy like myself. They be like, "Hey I'm Zeus!! I shoot fireballs from my eyes and bolts of lighting from my arse!!" (low key out of frame chuckling). But if they are tricksters of any power, can just trying to trip them up with lore really work? Apologies if this is coming off as me being an ass. I am genuinely curious as to how this works. It's like verification through information, when anyone is able to look at said information.

My general advice is firstly to cleanse and yourself and your space before any ritual. That way it's less likely you'll attract anything like that. Secondly, if a being is reaching out to you claiming to be someone, then pray to the deity they are claiming to be asking that They be present. The real deity will show up and take care of the situation (the Gods in general are not beings that predatory spirits and bottom-feeders want to be around since they know they'll get their asses kicked). So if something is claiming to be Loki then ask Loki to show up. The real Loki will drive away the being claiming to be Him.

A relationship with a deity can itself be difficult and a lot of work, so that’s something to keep in mind. However witchcraft is not at all needed to have a relationship with a deity. Plenty of Pagans don’t practice witchcraft and plenty of witches don’t work with deities, neither is mandatory for the other (unless you are specifically Wiccan, because I believe witchcraft is a part of Wicca as a religion).

look up the signs first next you need to meditate, try to communicate. be aware of the little things. its common to still be tricked but it happens most peoples first try is a flop so dont worry youll learn from either expierence i know this is vauge but i hope it helps a little bit feel free to ask me more questions
6:11 I'm assuming this is that love and light witchcraft or UPG (Unverified personal gnosis) or someone's specific religion but many deities are known for their baneful magic. Many of them are invoked in rituals to help with banful magic that may include cursing someone (within reason) who has wronged you or someone you loved with their consent of course. Including offerings that may be given to the deity before or after the ritual has been done.

Hey guys, can you help a novice witch? So I made an altar for apollo and I gave him offerings My first interaction was pretty wholesome but then it just ???? I had to beg him to speak to me, I almost cried and I just felt bad ? Afterwards all of our interactions were just extremely saddening When I try to contact him it usually works in the beggining but the communication gets interrupted by something and something else starts talking (aka not answering correctly to the lore) I get very frustrated since I try my best to please him,I do stuff for him and I think he appreciates it (he blessed me with so much stuff it's insane) I feel like I'm not actually talking to him but even if I cleanse it just won't work? Put crushed eggshells at the entrance if your house, always have some lavender or salt on you and always keep obsidian in your pocket also keep some lavender on your alter AND to make sure it is Apollo ask him some questions with a pendulum and a 'yes and no' sheet of paper, ask questions like.. It was mostly Mandy (Mom's roommate who is now moving to her wife's house) that worshipped him, but I've given him some stuff from time to time. Just the other day, I was going through some candy and found some twizzlers. Since neither me or Mom like twizzlers, I asked Dark Rider if he'd like them, and flipped one of his coins to decide. Needless to say, his mostly-empty altar now has some twizzlers 😊
Although now I must wonder who he actually is (we call him Dark Rider as to not appropriate African culture), and if he's gonna stick around here or follow Mandy to her new home. I'd like to do more research on him, but 🤷😢

Witchtok deity worship perplexes me. How do so many people get callings from the same five deities from Greek pantheon, Freyja/Odin/Loki, Lucifer/Lilith, and if you want to add a little razzle dazzle... Anubis.

Maybe the other deities do reach out, but not call it witchcraft? Also, a majority of people don't really make these sort of videos and so, the ones that have similar deities sort of cluster together, you know? Like two people working with the Greek Pantheon might interact with each other more. Also, more advanced practitioners or those slightly more intense might not make these videos. They might not even know about TikTok. Just a theory.
Maybe people wanted to work with them and these gods accepted them? They are getting more followers after all.

So i had a feeling apollo was trying to reach out to me since i have been seeing literal swarms of crows every time i go outside. So i was like "okay, i need another sign" and not even 10 minutes later i was fixing myself something to eat and i looked over at the tv and this crime show was on.. and it was showing this woman in the middle of the woods looking up at the sky and i remember telling myself "i swear if its a crow.." and i kid you fucking not the next thing it shows is this huge ass crow and i remember just flipping out over it. So i want to work with him, i just have no idea where to start since im so new to this

I'd have to see if there's historical reasoning for this but in my experience it has been the opposite. Athena sent Arachne to tell me to worship Athena! Given that there are myths where Arachne is Athena's student whom the Goddess teaches weaving and is later punished by Athena for a different crime (in this version of the story it's incest with her brother) then I'd argue that things might be a bit more complicated. Never an easy answer with the Gods.

I'm a little confused on the tricksters. I have repeatedly seen the same advice. 'Ask them about there history/lore (in reference to the deity they are trying to impersonate.)' If you, yourself are able to look up and easily find these answers, then why cant the trickster which is an entity do the same? I can understand for the low lvl tricksters or those that are lazy like myself. They be like, "Hey I'm Zeus!! I shoot fireballs from my eyes and bolts of lighting from my arse!!" (low key out of frame chuckling). But if they are tricksters of any power, can just trying to trip them up with lore really work? Apologies if this is coming off as me being an ass. I am genuinely curious as to how this works. It's like verification through information, when anyone is able to look at said information.

My general advice is firstly to cleanse and yourself and your space before any ritual. That way it's less likely you'll attract anything like that. Secondly, if a being is reaching out to you claiming to be someone, then pray to the deity they are claiming to be asking that They be present. The real deity will show up and take care of the situation (the Gods in general are not beings that predatory spirits and bottom-feeders want to be around since they know they'll get their asses kicked). So if something is claiming to be Loki then ask Loki to show up. The real Loki will drive away the being claiming to be Him.

A relationship with a deity can itself be difficult and a lot of work, so that’s something to keep in mind. However witchcraft is not at all needed to have a relationship with a deity. Plenty of Pagans don’t practice witchcraft and plenty of witches don’t work with deities, neither is mandatory for the other (unless you are specifically Wiccan, because I believe witchcraft is a part of Wicca as a religion).

i asked questions with my pendulum and i was told that yes this entity is a deity but did not give me a clear answer on if this is a god or a goddess. i did a tarot reading and here are the cards i drew:

if this somehow remind you of a spirit/entity i would like for you to help me! for some reason, i have a feeling it may be lucifer but the strange thing is i haven’t SEEN (or acknowledged?) enough signs for me to be sure this isn’t a trick. i’ve been having ringing in my ears constantly, and an unfamiliar presence that won’t go away even if i cleanse my area and carry protective crystals. it may be a possibility that i have to banish if this is a bad spirit, because HUGE chances are it’s already pretty intimate with me.

Many of them are invoked in rituals to help with banful magic that may include cursing someone (within reason) who has wronged you or someone you loved with their consent of course. Including offerings that may be given to the deity before or after the ritual has been done.

Metaphysical shops. I will warn you that they tend to have a lot of energy… So, if you’re empathic, you should definitely veil. The price is also a little pricey, but at least you could see the quality for yourself.

Try online stores that are reliable and show their sources (I recommend kennas crystals but it’s a lil pricey although the quality of her crystals are immaculate)but try any local shops but you can normally tell when a crystal is fake by the colour size and price but good luck finding crystals!(also if you live in England near Wolverhampton go to equinox the lady that helps run it is amazing and she has a good veriety of crystals (she also sells insence clothes and books!)

Hey guys, can you help a novice witch?
So I made an altar for apollo and I gave him offerings
My first interaction was pretty wholesome but then it just ????
I had to beg him to speak to me, I almost cried and I just felt bad ?
Afterwards all of our interactions were just extremely saddening
When I try to contact him it usually works in the beggining but the communication gets interrupted by something and something else starts talking (aka not answering correctly to the lore)
I get very frustrated since I try my best to please him,I do stuff for him and I think he appreciates it (he blessed me with so much stuff it's insane)
I feel like I'm not actually talking to him but even if I cleanse it just won't work?
It's really weird
I'm afraid of angering them because what if I'm cleansing something that doesn't need cleansing ?
All of these recent interactions make me so tired and extremely angry so I don't think it's them
So my questions are
One : how can I ward my room discretely to avoid other entities to mess with my altars ?
