- SOM & Gensler are one of the two biggest names in Architecture. But what is it like to do an internship there? Klaudia and Marek share their journey of how they got to these firms, and what was it like to actually work there.
Marek Grodzicki is an architect, designer, graduate of Architecture at the Poznań University of Technology. He also studied at VIA University Collage in Denmark and Stuttgart Universität in Germany. During his studies, he gained experience in large and recognized international offices. He worked at Gensler in London, Lahdelma & Mahlamäki in Finland and completed an 8-month internship at Skidmore, Owings & Merill in Chicago, working on skyscrapers in the USA, China and Australia. In the future, he wants to specialize in the design of high-rise buildings. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding and go-karting.
Klaudia Gołaszewska is an architect, founder of KXM Office. Graduated from Poznań University of Technology, scholarship holder of the University of Stuttgart and Leibniz Hannover in Architecture Faculty.

She combines his interest in math sciences and aesthetics with parametric architecture, the design of high-rise buildings and sustainable residential housing. In her free time, she loves to run and spend time in her native Masuria. She can’t live without travelling in the surrounding of great architecture.

Thank you once again for a great talk! I hope it will be valuable for everyone thinking how to use best the time studying :) We love work you're doing! All the best :)
Thank you for sharing your experience :D
I wish you would talk more about the pay and cost of doing these types of internships and student costs for people from around the world. It would be very enlightening for many people
Will surely try and include these topics from the next episode
It’s annoying the way that he interrupts her every second. Uncomfortable.
You never disappoint in content!
I just discovered your channel, and I've been watching your videos!
Congratulations on your work. It is inspiring.
Rishabh is getting better at this ....:)
❤️
Agree :)
I absolutely love the content but please make the banners short, because is too much when its all throughout the video. Makes it hard to enjoy. I cant wait for the next one. Keep going.
Thank you for the feedback
Guys just make sure you get paid for internship! summer internships seem fine (as duration is short), but any longer than that is really exploitation...Also, there is a living wage requirement in the UK supported by RIBA for internships now. Not everyone has the luxury to be able to afford to do an internship, even as a Part 1 or 2 you can apply directly for a job, because you can. Alternatively you can look into apprenticeships!
Make a video on achut kanvinde
Amazing content! Really insightful.
Glad you think so!
Thank you Albert :)
*Please make episode including the demolishment of monuments and temples and their capture and their architectural importance* by the love the interview

Did they completed those many interships before graduation & it is allowed to do so many internships in colege?
Yes its mostly about how many you can manage. Also as they explian they took a gap year while studying to further be able to get more experience. But Idk how do-able this is in India.
Hi Ajay, in Poland we were able to start doing summer internships since 1st year of university! I started first one on 3rd year (2 months), and then decided to take a gap year to make longer internships (6 months). Many of my friends also decided to combine studying with working in the office, but I preferred to focus fully on studying and competitions during that time.
@@blessedarch yaeh . The scene in india is quiet diferrent i guess
Thank You.
@@klgola Yaeh got it. Your story is so inspiring .
Thank You Ma'am.
Everyone's gonna search for that summer internship now. HAHA
