@@theappalachiachannel I'll certainly be here. Still grinding out the videos. Hard while working a traditional, only getting 5 or 6 videos each evening but I'll be caught up soon enough greatly anticipating each Sunday morning. Also I'm going tell all my friends at work about this channel. I think they'll enjoy it as well. Your content and storytelling skills are top notch!
I enjoy your stories!! It's almost like sitting with my grandparents and my great grandparents and listening to them telling stories when I was just a little kid!! Thank you!!
Sarah what a sweet voice you have ! Thanks this was a great learnin story. I’m so glad he changed his ways on the exact same day. I sure hope his son had a kick-ass time at the carnival! Great story!
Could you imagine going to a circus with only $2.00 in your pocket? Could you imagine by accidentally loosing $2.00 that it would be life changing? What a great story. Thank you!
I was wondering if u had done or heard story of the Howards and Turners feud in Harlan county Kentucky? .. it's a good one.. and thank u for another awesome video 😊.. it's nice of seeing n hearing bout different places
@@mrmj2397 JD is my dad, I am his daughter Sarah. My dad writes these stories and allows me to co narrate them with him. Hope this helps clear up any confusion! Thanks! ~Sarah
@theappalachiachannel no, not at all, thanks Sarah! I really liked the narration having the extra voice, though I do like the little voices your dad does from time to time! Lol. I'm up in Canada, we don't necessarily have communities like the Appalachians, but we have those same kinds of people all across the country in small communities. There's a channel by "Hammerson Peters" that does great Canadian tales as well. Mostly old world stories on fairies, little people of the woods and first nation tales of their own mythology. Worth a look if you're interested? I guess it was just that I always see things get taken advantage of, once they gain a level of popularity at least. We see it everywhere and I suppose I just got a tad protective of your dad's work, so I'm very pleased to hear a family effort put this together. I've only been down to W. Virginia once, to visit some family friends, but it was out by V. Beach, so I didn't get a chance to explore the hills much. Ever thought of doing a story on that Popcorn Sutton fella I've heard about? Or is N.C a bit south for your channel? I know there's some politics through the Appalacha's but I don't know where the boundaries lines get drawn? In any case, thanks much! Happy to hear you and your dad telling stories together! Take care, God bless.
@@mrmj2397 Thanks so much for sharing that, and yes you are right, folks steal and copy like crazy. My dad doesn't ever mention it, but many other "channels" steal his work, its nonstop...
It’s a shame my daddy never learned that lesson!…with his family anyway. He’d bend over backwards for others but throw such a fit if we needed new shoes or outgrew our clothes it felt like boilin’ water!

Is this channel working with JD's? I had a spark of offense, thinking it was a total copycat of JD's channel?
