Thank you so much for reviewing my request! ( I go now by Mia, but Miia is my original name from Finland, and lots of places still use that spelling ) Anyway! Välikuolema is not a real word, it kinda means time-out death, respite. But this song is about needing that kind of break after lots of partying, just closing your eyes for a minute, because you don't want to go home yet. The yell 'Herää!' throughout the song means 'wake up!' I cannot wait for you to review Ruoska. I am sure by now you have seen the music video, and it has translated lyrics out there on the web too. The official video has a serious message about being bullied by anonymous web hate comments. But anyway: This made my day! Thanks again.

Love your reactions to käärijä and eurovisions! I think you say "välikuolema" hilariously, the ä is difficult of course and you say "kuolema" like "kuolima", because e is pronounced differently in finnish. E is like when you say Erika, so the first letter is the same sounding in välikuolEma also but it is really understandable that you cannot pronounce it like we finnish people do!
Btw How finnish sound to you?
and the ä sound in finnish is like if you would say sad in english, but without the s and d. if you try to say "sad" and just hold the a after the s and dont say d to the end. I dunno if this helps at all, I have never got to teach ä to english speaking person so. :D but sad word sounds like it has ä to me.
