Looks just like my 1944 Ithaca right down to the Trigger. 44-45 1911's pretty much got the same upgrades. The frames were actually made by Colt. Just run the serial number on Colts finder. Under the grips of my gun a rare find was waiting for me to discover clear rubber panels used for sweetheart grips from aircraft windows.
Surprised any of these lads got airborne by the sheer weight of their balls. Kudos to the Greatest Generation. All of them.
That was Funny and True . GOD Bless them all .
