My son Duane passed away on 15 June 2023 at the age of 44 - just slumped over and passed away while talking to a friend. God called him home suddenly and though I as a Father grieve and have emotional waves flowing over me, - it is well with my soul. This song is such a wonder support at this time. Thank you for presenting and singing this song with such powerful conviction- it is truly such a comfort to listen to. This song and Job 14:5 answer the "why" question and lift my spirit. I celebrate this fathers day knowing that Duane is with his heavenly father.

He sent his wife and four daughters ahead to England, while he sorted out his business. His four daughters would drown in a shipping accident, his wife would survive ... Shortly afterwards, as Spafford traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words as his ship passed near where his daughters had died. That is some testimony to God's grace. Truly amazing.

I was led here as this song came to me today. I have not worked a single day since Feb with this WGA Strike. This year has been incredibly stressful witg aging parents i have to support. My beautiful mother is in the hospital after suffering a stroke this week. These have been the most stressful few days of my life. My mother is my best friend and my whole world. I pray for God to heal her fully, i already see him working his grace.
