6:23 Bloodletter would be really terrifying in a real fight actually, imagine being an enemy you see your opponent stab himself but pulls it out and a bloody giant spiked flesh club randomly appears.
What makes it more terrifying is that they are stabbing themselves WITH A MACE, which is a blunt weapon and not a bladed one. That sort of display of raw physical strength to impale yourself *with a blunt weapon* and pull out a gigantic spiked club without a giant hole in your sternum would absolutely terrify any sane human.

I saw that as well. I studied all these weapon transformations to understand how they work, plus movesets. Attack with a swing, pop the 2nd blade to your other hand, dual stab. It was amazing

Simon's Bowblade is definitely one of my favorite weapons in video games for real. I always had the idea of a bowblade and Bloodborne so far is the only game that fulfills my fantasy of that.
I think from a mechanical, and design perspective, the Reiterpallasch has to be my favorite. It's so simple. The lever on the side moves the blade down, and pulls the gun forward in one motion. I think it's a very elegant, and interesting weapon, and I wish I could slow the animation down to really appreciate it.
I have never played this game. But I fell in love at first sight with it because of those trick weapons. Almost all of them are so illogical, but I don't care because they are so freaking cool LOL.
Just a masterpiece, the weapons in BB are so criative and cool because its difference tools of killing beasts or any other terrifying thing, some of them pretty unique with fun mechanics and all with second forms with different attacks. More than fair to a hunter in a long nightmare.

The beast cutter has the be the coolest damn thing I've ever seen in a video game. Right up there with Valstrax from Monster Hunter and like 75% of the weapons from Devil May Cry.

Like there is a lmg with two lewis gun mags. Yeah.
I was reading a story the other day talking about Logarius' wheel. The way the author described it was you have three specific areas that are hollowed out for handles and a shoulder rest. In order to activate the wheel, you stick your left hand in this gauntlet like device that's up in the wheel and grab hold of a crank like a chainsaw. The first crank activates it, and it only takes a small pull. If you want to buff it, you let the crank reset all the away, and allow these razor blades to fold down and grip your skin. Quarter pull: a scratch that barely breaks skin Half: the blades draw a little blood 3/4: the blades dig deeper and cause more bleeding The fourth and final pull: the gauntlet complete bites into your arm to the point it's drawing from an artery. Extremely painful but not fatal you use it reasonably and drink your IRE. To turn it off, you just close the wheel. The gauntlet lets go and resets.
Normally a wheel being used would be comical, but the sound design sells you on the fact there’s more to that thing that meets the eye. Scary as hell soundin.
I think based on the clothes this is the 1850's the Gatling gun was invented in 1860 so about 10 years. Better than Call of duty world war 2 with the lazer sights on guns 70(?) years before they were invented thing.
Honestly a bloodborne anime would be so dope. Kinda in the same style of Akami ga kill where every character has their assigned weapon and fighting style. And of course every character can die at any point.
If they made a Bloodborne anime i hope they can also show how tough the fights are and not making the Hunter OP asf since chapter 1 but that would be very hard

It's not just the weapon creativity that makes them all so memorable, but the fact that ALL of them are quite viable in PVE and PVP. You can pick a build based around 1 weapon or 1-2 stats and not only will it be viable it'll likely clean house and be fun in the process, and that's a damn hard balance to achieve.

If you have a PS4 you need to play it ASAP. I bought a PS4 solely for Bloodborne and God of War 2018, two of the best PS exclusives ever imo.
