that range is good, it means you can go for a dump between rounds and still talk to your squad
lmao
very approve.
Yes
My dump room is literally inside my gaming room
I notice I lose signal if I stand up to have a piss. Signal doesn't drop when I'm sitting down though so I'm all good for pooping
I just realized how much you remind me of Chris Pratt 😂
Jackson Hayes same
The russian version tho :D
Thanos sent him to our world
SAME! LOL!
not even close to chris pratt lol
I love wireless headphones. I love making my discord channel hear me piss while having a conversation at the same time
There's a mic mute button for a reason :^)
Jec nah, never mute lmao
Luis you can still piss with wired too just bring your controller with you
@@julian7358 what if he is using a pc??
sh4rp bring the pc lol
You Can Use it when is Charging!
For the Battery look on the HyperX softweare!
You literally saved me from not wanting to buy this... lol
I was so confused!
Why the fuck would it not allow you to use it?!!
Imagine your phone did that.
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
I just order these due to your comment, thank you very much kind sir.
@@DVDplayerz well some products dont, i have a pair of wireless headphones that act all cunty and wont let you use them while they charge
@Cum in belly button Have the headset for almost 2 years now, can confirm, it charges and you can use it at the same time.
I was never woried about that, because, well.. It's dumb to think that.
It is baically impossible to damage batteries this way in 2021 on consumer devices and it would be done on purpose if it did do any damage.
It is cheaper and easier to do it properly.
The way HC does ads is how everyone should do ads
Yeaa i found no problem watching it .. its good

What is the JB Hi-Fi price match policy?
As Australia’s largest Technology, Entertainment and Appliance Discount Retailer we are committed to delivering the best prices and market leading deals.
undefined
We will enthusiastically match the price of an identically stocked competitor product. Negotiable deals are part of our everyday promise.
undefined
A JB Deal applies to identical products in stock at both the competitor and the relevant JB Hi-Fi store at the time of price matching. The competitor price must be verified by JB Hi-Fi. Online price comparisons must include any delivery costs.
Exclusions apply for cash back offers and store credits, bonus and bundled promotions, coupon promotions, grey or direct import products not sold through an authorised Australian reseller, commercial orders, competitor advertising errors, and competitor clearance products or products with limited or restricted quantities.
undefined
Products available through JB Hi-Fi are supplied through authorised local distributors and not via “grey market” or “direct import international models” that are available through some online retailers. This gives you the peace of mind and convenience that you have over 196 JB Hi-Fi stores nationwide to provide after sales support in the unlikely event that you experience a problem or need to return a product.
Also, as JB Hi-Fi is an authorised seller you have the confidence that products purchased through JB Hi-Fi are designed to operate “out of the box” in the local Australian market.
That means no modifications or aftermarket adaptors are required for them to function as intended, and of course they are supported with a full manufacturer’s Australian warranty.

HyperX puts all their money in the sound and comfort
i dont believe this i have a hyper x and they are the worst when it comes to comfort
their clamping force is too much and their ear pads are not thick enough
but of course its personal opinion , :/
@@GenericMedusa99 what hyperx cloud do u have
Right like what? I’ve had the stingers alphas and now the flights amdna I loved every single ones comfort. I was using my Alphas all the time and I got the Arctis 7 from steelseries cause I wanted the wireless convenience but after 3 weeks I couldn’t stand it I sent it back and got this 2 months ago for 120. So much more comfortable and such better sound
Well... I would say they put more money in marketing.
I've literally never heard anyone say hyperx headsets were uncomfortable until seeing that comment. I don't know if you were trying to argue against them or what, but hyperx has consistently been at the top for most comfortable headsets in gaming. The sound has been amazing honestly my girl thought she was being awesome when she bought me a pair of Astro TRs I tried them cause I've heard they were the best of the best and at $300 they should be at the top. However they couldn't compete with my hyperx cores which is the cheaper version of the cloud, and they only cost 60 bucks lol. Needless to say we returned them and I got a pair of hyperx Alphas, a SSD for my Xbox and still had a extra $100 cash from the return lol
Got a pair of those for around 3 years now. I absolutely love it. The mic quality isn't the best, but still satisfying enough for me. However, like Dimitri pointed out early in the video, the joints where the earcups rotate ended up breaking for me. I noticed they were getting slowly looser and more vulnerable over the years, and one finally broke yesterday. The headphones still work, but one earcup is dangling off its cable. Could be better but hey, I'm buying the same pair again, now that's it's cheaper too.
same thing literally just happened to me today, i've owned these bad boys for 3 years, today morning once i picked them up the joint literally just fell apart haha. Went to buy the Arctis Pro Wireless today for 300$, ended up hating how they felt, returned them and got another pair of these bad boys. HyperX is just way more comfortable, Steelseries' earpads are way too tight and i prefer the material the Flight's have.
Mine are making a beeping sound whenever I move the volume wheel idk how to fix it
"cheaper"? Damn that's a first for me!
I've had these for 2 years now, and they're the best headphones I've ever bought, definitely would buy again!
I'm looking to buy a gaming headset and im interested in these you think they're a good choice?
@@jawnonem yep, still have these, zero problems and sounds amazing, worth a buy
I actually love the idea of wireless by usb connection. It's perfect since my PC doesn't have bluetooth support
In my experience, i actually really like this headset. The directional sound is, in my personal opinion, is amazing and is better than the arctis 5 i had. Just wish it had a separate dial for chat audio.
Sebastian dela Cruz do you have any static problem in the audio or is this only happening to me?
I just bought these for $59, they have more bass than the golds. They are slightly quieter, but not by much. The range is almost twice the golds. The red mute light on the mic is useless imho bc I cant see it while wearing the headset. Works very well on ps5, no probs. Battery life is wayyyyy better than the golds. Also the ps5 virtual surround makes it easy to hear where the sound originates left, right, up, down, behind etc.
Thanks i was thinking of picking these up bcuz my playstation gold headsets battery is so bad after al those years
@@yungsix4493 same here, golds battery life declined and taped together. If you get them make sure you click the power button to breath or turn off leds for maximum battery life. Also to add, when you turn off headset, it wont switch audio to tv automatically.. but its hella easy to switch audio via ps5. Just press the ps button, go to the audio icon, switch audio output between tv or hyperxcloud
just came to say, I bought them right after this review and they are still working great till this day, sound and mic quality have not changed, sound staging is great on shooter games like CS Go. The battery life is stil excellent.
The only thing is that I had to replace the ear cups and the headband cushin as they wore off with time because of the leather material. Otherwise these are still an AWESOME buy even in 2023.
I love your stuff. Those camera skills are top notch, and a great review as always. Thank you for your awesome content :)
As these videos go I almost never actually buy from them. I used your link so you could get your bonus from it and instantly purchased this as you walked several rooms away and were still able to use it. I have been using a $30 budget option for 3 years that has been great but everything you said here made a sale. Thank you so much for being such a great source of information and quality product review while not being a watered down garbage paid by the manufacturer company.
so how you like it?
its good
I have these and I've been wearing them for around 7 hours straight (due to gross online school) and around 3 or 4 more hours after that. I never need to take them off due to discomfort, it's great.
why do companies think its OK to have anything less than stellar mic AND speaker quality on a premium gaming headset? "Gaming" isn't an excuse to cut corners.
I'm thinking wireless mics are inherently bad and nobody's found a way to improve it at the price point. Tbh I think a lot of people would like a cheap desk mic (like the bm-700) with their wireless headphones for desk top gaming. It has its draw backs but the user is cable free and gets superior mic quality.
dogboy0912 or maybe they need to talk to some phone companies or a reputable company whose mics wireless mics, like Shure.
Just get a real mic. Problem solved.
Not sure what you want. You can't get studio quality in such a tiny microphone. Besides, it's for gaming, not for UA-cam garbage. You're just being cheap if you are.
@@shiftshaper1 No. I want to spend $300 if they'd sell it. There are NO wireless headsets with good mics. My wired headsets have great mics, so NO you do not need a large microphone to get good input.
I've tested this extensively. They are cutting corners, they need to offer a pro option with a good mic, IDC if it's double the price.
These were 80 dollars today, definitely worth it at that price point.
Edit: also hyperx released some basic software for the headset that will let you view the battery, and adjust the mic and headphone volume (unfortunately no EQ).
Right, got one while I could.
Can i change the mic to a different detachable mic from HyperX?
Yup. I was trying to decide between these and the Arctis 7s but went with these and ordered them today. Getting em in 3 days so I can't wait.
@@TerraTheWise same, Amazon prime ftw
@shiftyy I actually don’t know if you can use a different mic. I would assume not since the jack has a proprietary port shape unique to that specific detachable mic. But I don’t actually have a definite answer. It’s worth a try?
6:22 I thought that was someone else 😂😂😂
I've had these over the past week. I have always been happy with Hyper X's products. I love the sound of these, the build is good, the battery life is great although there is no way to check the battery life. Unfortunately for me, I could feel the drivers against my ears and it became an unpleasant experience. I heard people have had this issue with the alphas as well.
Just a tip to someone buying these and suffer the same issue. You can use Brainwavz angled hybrid pads, that will take your ear away from the driver. You can also use more premium pads like ZMF oval pads, I have tested both and they work great for me. I also tried Shure 1540 pads (the most comfortable pads in known existence). They fit great, but the driver ramming ear problem was still there. I ended up cutting out some old cloud 2 pads out, cutting them in half length wise, trimming down the sides a cm or two, and sticking them under the Shure 1540 pads, basically adding a bit more distance from the driver to the ear. Voila, problem fixed.
Why go through all this trouble? The headphones themselves great, the battery life is great, and are now as comfortable as a cloud. The freedom is liberating. I feel like this is now the ultimate wireless headset. A perfect compliment to my Aeon Flow Opens that will be used for casual listening and gaming. That being said, I really think HyperX needs to address this. They need to have thicker pads, that's it, and make them memory foam god dammit.
If you don't have the driver ramming ear problem, do yourself a favor and throw some Shure 1540 pads on them for ultimate comfort.
EDIT**
The range on these for me are not great, they cut out 15 feet away once I turn a corner and walk by appliances. I think the range is good on these if they are unobstructed by certain things.
Danger Don mind if I ask, does it connect to PS/Xbox via wireless?
Not sure my friend, I haven't tested that and my xbox is being difficult at the moment
the issue with the drivers against your ear, is that with the flight or any hyperx headset in general?
ShadowEyes id say flight, cloud 2, alpha, and the original cloud the cloud revolver is great but I just love the freedom of wireless
download hyperx ngenuity software u can see the battery life there
This is exactly what I've been waiting for. A wireless headset from a trusted audio company. I love that it's driverless, I like having software for mice and keyboards but for headsets it's just unnecessary baggage. It should have Bluetooth for the price, but that's not a deal breaker
With more and more games utilizing Dolby Atmos, virtual surround is just unnecessary. Cause of that, I appreciate the price drop that comes from a headset not implementing virtual surround.
Games are 3d content audio is rendered in 3d so dolby atmos, 7.1, virtual soprround sound are all totally useless when using headphones, those certifications are only useful when using speakers
Yep, I use Dolby Atmos for Headphones and don't want anything else than stereo headphones.
You can use Dolby Atmos with these headphones?
2 people in my discord use these and the mic sounds tons better than they do in this video so yeah I'm picking up a pair since I'm in the market for a headset
their video for the cloud alpha they did a mic test and it sounded way worse than they actually sound as well. I have the cloud alpha and ive heard my own voice with the mic and it sounds way better than what their test sounded like. i have no idea what they're doing.
4 years of playing with them and they never once broke, never once had an issue, always had great quality, and now that the ear cups are fading after extensive use, i’m using the cloud s.
*PROS:*
- No annoying cable to keep you on the leash any more, you are free!
- Really comfortable
- Quality seems pretty decent
- Great sound
- Pretty decent battery
- Easy to charge
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*CONS:*
- -Lack of virtual feedback- (UPDATE: You can download official software from their page)
- Area around the ears can get hot and sweaty during the summer
- Can't use the set wirelessly for your phone
- In some areas in my flat the sound is not coming through
- lack of features (It would be really nice to have Play, Next, Stop keys imo)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*TIPS:*
-To save battery you can lower the volume on your headphones and make it louder via app or game settings. Most games have sound settings set around 70% by default, so turn it up to a 100%. This way you will get the same intensity but with less battery cost.
-Unfortunately this headset doesn't come with integrated 3D surround sound, but you can make it up with using a software that provides it. There is plenty softwares you can check out online that use this method. I personally use "Boom 3D", It's pretty cheap and it works great.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have bought this headset 6 months ago for 135$ and I must say I am really satisfied with my purchase for now.
They are really comfortable, sound is great, quality seems nice and battery lasts for a pretty nice amount of time (around 15 hours on 50% volume with the LED lights off) and takes around 2-3 hours to fully charge. They are really practical and you can easily switch on your pc from headphones to speakers or the other way around.
No cable is simply amazing. I can't describe you how amazing it is to walk to another room without stopping whatever you were doing, specially when you only need to listen something, I can go work on something and at the same time listen to whatever I need. Really efficient and can save you time.
The only downsides that I found is that earpad covers can get really hot sometimes, specially during the summer you really feel the area around your ear sweating a bit.
-Another issue that I found really annoying is a lack of virtual feedback, meaning there is no way to check your battery status or when you are muted or not. When you get to low battery the only feedback you get is a beep, which can easily be unheard if you are listening to music or playing video games.- Download the official software to solve this problem.
Although this a desk headset it would be pretty useful if you could use the headset wirelessly for your phone, that would be really useful addition.
I find lack of features really annoying sometimes. Biggest downside in my opinion is lack of features, especially lack of "Play, Stop, Next" buttons. I found myself too many times in a situation where I was afk and just wanted to pause something I was listening but because of the missing buttons I had to go back to desk to do it, or lying in bed watching something and have to get up every time I want to pause or rewind. It isn't really practical and can be really annoying sometimes.
All in all, HyperX Cloud Flight although the most expensive are also the best headphones I have ever bought. I would recommend them without a doubt.
cheers!
What do you mean that you cabt hear in some areas?
@@logetfolger6849 Hey sorry for the late reply.
What I ment is that there are some areas in my flat where sound just doesn't come through. It's always the same places tho, so I guess it's due to some kind of material in my walls that seems to block it. My friend has the same problem but he lives in the same building as me so it isn't too much of a surprise
Yes you can use the headset while they're charging and checking battery status is easy to check with downloading software (HyperX NGenuity) :)
Is it really possible?
That's just what is stopping me to buy it.

78$ on google store with code MAYSAVE19
great review as always....i really enjoyed these as well
How come everyone forgot about the Siberia 800?
I get that it was very expensive earlier, but they go for around 100 bucks used now, and is a killer deal.
Why is a headset with a decent mic so hard on anything other than the Sennheiser Game One? For $159 it absolutely should sound better than this.
Kaby dealbreaker for me :(
Kaby while I agree Flight have many down sides, Game One is wired...
Lol its for gaming dont expect studio quality when you dont need it. Its basically so your friends can hear you the rest of the money goes into comfort looks audio and ofc WIRELESS
Wireless is a huge factor in the audio quality of the mic on these type of headsets. There is compression going on and other factors to consider.
Ive listened to these mics on stream and yeah they sound bad but no big deal they are not going to be used for asmr or some shit. Its bad but not THAT bad people hate on it too much
How does nobody ever mention the white noise coming from this thing?! I bought one and I'm totally disappointed by how much noise there is when you have them on.
did you check you don't have other signals at the same frequency going on?

you definitely CAN use them whilst charging, I am doing so right now :)
They are not charging, they are just plugged
@@yogi546 Nope, they are actually charging. You can definitely charge them while playing by plugging them into your computer with the micro-usb.
does the mic work while the headset is wired to a pc using it's cable?
How do you charge it
@@kevinvillalobos2475 on the bottom of the left ear there is a port for charging if you have a ps4 whatever you use to charge your dualshock 4 you can use for the head set
Could you make a comparison between all the wireless headsets? Maybe best wireless option for 2018 perhaps. theres so many similar options around the same price range (arctis 7, g533,void pro etc)

It is
Did you by chance buy any of those headsets listed and could you tell me why you chose the one you did? Contemplating on whether I want to buy one.
Wow very impressive. That's the first time, I saw a headset could travel far from the wifi device. From Wall through wall. Good job HyperX.
But yeah maybe a couple of steel could make it more qulified for the Price.
Or maybe the next generation, the hyperx flight II.
But anyway, Its an awesome for the new inovation.
Nah, it would be cheap china steel anyways. At least it weight less with plastic.
This is the best review I've seen on this. Awesome Job.

Yes you can use them while charging plus you can monitor battery life through a software provided by hyperx
6:30 that happens to me almost daily with my cloud2
Thankyou for your review. You have helped me decide which headphones I want!
Man, thats is a fuc*ing good review, thanks for that!
I’ve watched this video several times now. Finally picked up the flights. Definitely the best for me so far. The sound quality, comfort, freedom makes them a top buy. They sound slightly better than the stingers I’ve been using(which sound good and for $50 sound amazing). These are easily better than the steelseries arctic 7. If you like the Arctis 7 you should look at plantronics 800. It’s very similar to the steelseries but has better battery, sound, comfort. My son uses mine(he’s a hardcore gamer) and I wanted to try the flights but had they not been amazing I would’ve returned em for another wireless set of 800s

I just tested these and would recommend the Corsair Void Pros over the Cloud Flights. The build quality, EQ customization and deeper base make them more worth the money at $99. Much better for FPS games like PUBG.
hows the bass? i like bass because i enjoy feeling gunshots and explosions
EDIT: plus how loud are they
Hey, the bass is great, truly awesome when firing. they get plenty loud, I normally use 50% when gaming! best gaming headset I have tried! :D
I love this headset, but I just wish it was it was overear instead of on ear, and had sidetone control via software.
Hey star lord, im looking for a wireless headset for streaming, thanks for the review
This is absolutely amazing.
The microphone quality isn’t that great but it is good and acceptable. Good for communication.
Thanks a lot for this review.
What’s bad about the mic? I mainly bought these to talk to my friends in cs go
I think that headsets don't need a virtual 7.1 mode. The audio engines of good games are starting to become great. And for music: If you listen to music in virtual 7.1 it should only be because the producer wanted it that way and mastered his music accordingly.
ShadowZpeak i dont think they take 7.1 into account either when they make the engines...i think sticking to stereo as a standard pretty much makes the experience all around better
Humans actually have very poor directional sound sense per ear (in total we basically have left, right, very weak forward and back, and that's it). It's the sync of visual, audio, and head rotation that creates the ability to pinpoint a sound. You need a large sound stage for true surround, and the couple of cm and multiple drivers within a headphone can't do it, but if stereo syncs and shifts ear to ear as you move in a game, it will properly convey surround. That's why Dolby Atmos games sounds just as good with stereo. It's very acute in how direction interacts with sound as you rotate.
dogboy0912 and see i always figured this was the case, after all, our ear holes are on either side of our head and are essentially pointed “left and right”
Joshua South and the rest is interpretation of all sorts of signals by the brain
not to mention, the sound stage determines how accurate a sounds "location" has to be
I have this one for 2 weeks now and the sound is really great, I don’t like to have to turn off led each time I power it. Battery life is insane too.
I think all wireless headset manufacturers need to improve their wireless bandwidth so the mic audio aren't compressed into a muffled mess. The mics on those wireless are basically the same on all brands.
Just bought steel series Siberia 800s earlier this week... Watching this review wirelessly with em. For only $20 more I think the dac and swappable batteries was well worth it.
Sound quality is slightly cleaner than my hyperx clouds too, so if these are same I'm glad.
On a scale from 1 to 10! Where would you place The headset
(10 is best)

Frio you mean *10*
Thank you for the review 👍🏼! Very informative 👌🏼!
Hyperx cloud flight vs logitech g 533. Which is better
Hi Dimitri, nice videos! Do you recommend this Cloud Flight's over Arctis 7's? I am a PS4 user btw.
I'd like a cloth earcup version as pleather can get a bit sweaty
and they wear off over time
Cloth bothers my skin
Fell in love when a friend got a pair, and couldn't resist. Any way I use them for my needs - all satisfied. Gaming, movies, VoIP calls - no complaints. Great quality overall for the price range, with great battery life (led off), never really got paranoid about how much juice is left, it gets boring at times waiting for those three beeps and then some. Get them on sale then buy a headphone stand, and you're all set.
Not really wireless on the move (phone, tablet - all 3.5mm jack) but I don't use them for that.
Hey, I really like your reviews. But you never compared a gaming headset to standard non-gaming headphones. Would love to see that! (e.g. AKG K550 MKII + external Mic vs Cloud Alpha)
MrBhoppy there would be no point, as it is clearly defined by the name. And if you want to go into more detail, a gaming headset will usually have bigger drivers. And multiple speakers in each ear cup to support surround sound. A regular stereo headset is 99% of the time going to be 2.1 or 5.1 stereo. Usually with specific boosts. Like bass boost.
OMGLookItsGavo there is no point in having multiple drivers because you only have 2 ears
"Gaming" gear is most of the time just normal gear but with gamer design, more of the money will be dedicated to ads instead of research and you can find the same quality for 20€ less somewhere else
OMGLookItsGavo you don't get 2.1 or 5.1 on a headphone. There's no subwoofer, so it's a 2.0. There are some 5.0/5.2 headsets but they're all terrible. Good headphones have good enough drivers to make it sound like there are more than 2 channels.
I never understand the stupidity in this statement. I most definitely can hear different sound directions and placements using my "stereo" ears. This is why 5.1, Dobly Atmos, DTS, etc exist using more then 2 speakers. Guess I should just box up my 9 speaker setup. Yes, I can hear the difference in multi-speaker headphones vs stereo simulated. Something must be broken with your ears.
YaKillaCJ on headphones only ond ear gets the sound of one driver. On speakers both ears get the sound of both drivers.
Just bought this last week and i can say it easily surpasses most wireless gaming headset and fyi i own Razer Man O' War and Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless as well but the Hyperx Cloud Flight blew both of them outta the water in terms of wireless range, directional ques and sound imaging, extremely good for competitive shooters like CSGO and Battle Royales like FORTNITE and PUBG. Hyperx Cloud Flight is one beast of a wireless headset, by far my fave yet.
3 things to add in this headsets = 1. Bluetooth connectivity 2. metal construction 3.RGB and availability in India
things this headset really need
1)Metal construcion
2)remove Leds light
like it but durability is an issue if they took the alphas design and added the battery it would be quite nice
Re: Wireless mic; good enough for gaming + talking to squads, but not especially nice sounding. Will serve for games, won't be good for recording audio for anything else
The Mic on the Arctis 7 is quite better then this compared in other reviews.
How does this compare to the SteelSeries Arctis 7 ?
And which has the better sound quality?
He does a review on that one, including a demo of the mic sound.
I would really like a way to check the battery. Happy their first attempt is positive.
2 things I'd like to see fixed.
1) Is the lack of mic when using it wired. that means I can't play mobile games with friends. I'm still using the apple earbud. :(
2) Is the lack of blue tooth. It would be nice to just connect to things easier (even with a loss of quality), as an option.
Have you done a video on headset stands? I always want to know which ones you like.
Can we get some refreshed gaming chair reviews/comparisons/tips? In the market for one and don't know what to get.
MrAlexlovesmuse get an akracing premium, bought one two weeks ago and its amazing
Mustache Meister thanks man. which one did you get? (i.e. could you link it :) )
I have a metal folding chair. Tbh I don't like gaming chairs at all and the styling off racing buckets makes no sense considering bucket seats are not primarily meant for comfort. Sure they aren't "real" bucket seats and are adapted to comfort but it seems like a 2 steps forward 1 step back kind of thing instead of just getting a mesh office chair or something...
dogboy0912 thats what i thought aswell, so i bought an office chair but it wasn’t for me. I went to a store and got to sit in one and compared to the usual ones this one was actually comfortable. You just have to find the one you like
If you want comfort get a Herman Miller Aeron
managed to pick up a new pair for $75 hopefully it’s as good as you say they are!
David yo where did you find them for 75 dollars. I need a pair too
Does the HyperX Cloud Flight feel the same as the HyperX Cloud II ?
Why you did not mention the white noise? I bought them and it is very enoying.
I learned a long time ago to NEVER buy headsets with plastic in the earcup expanders and joints. At $150, this is a solid pass. The quality of sound does not matter when you have earcups dangling by wires because the build quality was poor.
Mad5cout really? My m50x does very well until now
Ironically, three days ago I had my headset hanging on the back of my chair, and I went to grab it and the cups were extended and it bent it and rendered the entire headset practically unusable. I vote this comment true based on experience. As a result, I went with the SteelSeries Arctis 7 wireless gaming headset, which is the same price as the HyperX Cloud Flight shown in the video above. ($162 on amazon, including the tax and minus the shipping costs, because amazon prime). Everything BESIDES the microphone quality, are exceptional!
Alina Satis that was some generalized views...
For the naysayers, I would wager Audio Technica is a massive outlier in terms of their plastic quality on their headsets. One of the reasons I bought Cloud headsets in the past was the high quality metal bands and earcup joints. Once you've experienced the difference, you won't go back. So, I am really confused why they messed with such a successful formula. They should've kept basically everything else designwise in step with their previous models and added *bluetooth* compatibility. That would've been a homerun.
Quantum Nebula Hope you're joking the Arctis series sound is god damn terrible. Hope you never have to play FPS games and listen to where people come from because you can't tell a thing. I own a pair that are sitting in my draw. The microphone is also god aweful.
I have a pair of these, I can walk to my bathroom & take a pee break between raids, playing EFT w/ my buddies, easy to mute too lol... I really them, I like how they don't pinch my glasses to my ears, I can wear em for hours without discomfort.
I feel like I have to be careful with my headset too, and I am overly careful.
Are they firm?
Cant use them while charging? Thats pretty stupid
Thats a total breaking point for about anyone who actually wants a wireless pair. DO NOT BUY.
You can continue using these while it's charging but only with the USB adapter plugged in. So for example, if you were using it with your phone, then it wouldn't work if you wanted to charge it at the same time. Hope this helps!
The first time I used HyperX is when I wore my cousin's gaming headphone, then i was strongly impressed by its sound quality, which is what I pay most attention to. Then I picked Somic as mine because I love its surround sound effect.
Kenny Linda did you ever get a static noise . I get one on mine. Just bought them
Although its a pretty good wireless pair, I prefer my wired HyperX Clouds.
BUT THE MICROPHONE :(
I would love to see you guys try out the Plantronics Rig 800LX
These do look amazing
I was hooked until you mentioned that you cant use it while charging, thats kinda of a dealbreaker for me. Also i'd like to know how they perform on PS4, cause thats what i mainly play on. Im currently using the razer man o war which works great for gaming and switching from my PS4 to my PC but i find that it breaks very easy, the latest one i bought the head strap just snapped from me using it on a regular basis, and i handled it with the utmost care.
You can use them while charging, I do and it works.
HyperX Cloud Fight vs Steelseries Arctis 7?
Steelseries Arctis 7 for sure, much more comfort and better mic. In my opinion also looks better.
Comfort and looks are subjective. Lmao
arctis 7 = very flat sound
J Himmelbleu I'm trying to decide right now, what's holding me back from the arctis 7 is the weight and pressure on your head, also the lack of control on its size.
Arctis are awful for smaller heads
one of the best channel i have seen for a long time now. keep it up
Can confirm these headsets have good volume, put them on max audio and played MW on high boost audio setting and I went into a war match, middle of the game I notice blood coming out of left ear, sad thing is it actually happened
Jeez I didn't know my headset was 4.years old...
As much as this review tries to sugar coat it, it just sounds like a list of compromises...and for $150 it really doesn't seem like they're worth it
Mike Graham msrp for wireless headsets seems weird. A lot of wireless headsets go under msrp. The G533s I got have a similar msrp as these but actually sell for like $70 less.
dogboy0912 does the g533 sound as good as hyper x though?
Really love your Vids Leo. You helped me on my decision when ive done my research about buying new HS. It fits perfectly for my needs its purrfect. Thanks and stay awsome
I feel like this review is slightly biased towards HyperX. It just doesn't seem like that good of a value for the price. People complain about the Razer Man o war 7.1 being overpriced, but this is debate worse, and for $40 more.
Your Doctor, John Smith man on war great sound, excellent mic really but that headstrap/band on top of the headset is questionable though
True, it is plastic and makes a creaking sound. But I've had it for a few years now and I've had no damage occur due to that, and the metal parts like the height adjustment really do make up for it. The overall quality of the plastic makes it seem like a much better deal than the Cloud flight.
I think the msrp for wireless is just way higher than demand. I bought g533s for like $75 and their msrp was around the same as these.
Your Doctor, John Smith ur either super lucky or surgeon levels of careful then. I'm a huge razer fan, mouse, keyboard, mousepad, headset, everything. I'm fairly gentle with my stuff too. But I have had my man o war wireless slightly less than a year and the garbage top headband just broke yesterday while it was sitting on my head. Judging by all the reviews/complaints I've seen online, even from other razer fanboys, the top band being garbage is a certified, 100% legit real issue, and its astoundingly common in less than a year of use. Still sticking with razer for my other peripherals, but unless they do a massive overhaul of the headband, no WAY I'm getting another man o war. For how much they cost theres zero reason that they should just snap and break with less than a year of gentle use
2020 and I still use them, love my flights. I would like to see the comparison with the new Cloud 2 wireless, overall volume etc.
@@hllowtips It's a great headset but consider Cloud 2 wireless. I wish someone did a comparison of these two.
@@hllowtips I was lucky enough to get them brand new for $99.00 on Amazon. They still look like new. Honestly I'm waiting for Hyperx to release an Alpha wireless.
I've had a chance to try out Alphas wired and those dual chambers really make a difference. Amazing sound.
"You cannot use them while they are charging..." Wait, WHAT ?!
just pretend you didn't want to use them anyways, they will be just fine lying around when u actually wanna use them. Or schedule your PC usage to every second day so u can charge them on one, and play on the other. Sounds good no ?
that would actually only be OK if there were two headsets in one retail box :D use one, charge the other ... ^^
lol i use them when they are charging you just need a long charger or as i have a stationed charger but i got that with my logitech wireless headset so...
Good review Dimitri, excellent coverage. Any chance you could shed some light on how the audio quality compares to the Cloud II? Just disappointed that this isn't well suited for use with the phone..Cheers..
Finally, a headset I can go to toilet and still talk to my squad😂
You copied the comment beneath you. Shame.
Thunderbolt and he plays fortnite, makes me want to commit suicide
@@zzing8372 same
How to make the mic even better? I bought a popfilter/windshield from ebay, and the mic quality went up even further.
And, I changed the earcushions because they have a soar tendensy to my ears, I think it is the leather sewing. Im now using the leathers from Arctis 7(orderer from steelseriers)
For that price i would expect better mic and build quality.. nice try tho.. make the version 2 better HyperX! ;)
For the price you could get g533s and a desk mic. The one thing that does seem pretty big for these is its 30 hour battery.
dogboy0912 yeah, looks like they made a better battery and made it wireless, and thats it lol but the build quality is low.. looks like it
liked your review , hope you will do one on the astro a40 and a50
Huge disappointment. We all waited for a pair of wireless HyperX headphones, but there's no bluetooth connectivity... Really? How much would have cost them to build in a bluetooth receiver? 5 dollars? Also, the microphone is shit and build quality is questionable. All for $160. They are just trying to cash out on the HyperX name at this point. I'm not a fan of the Corsair Void Pro, but that's a way better value at this point.
Hey Dimitri, love your videos. I play a lot of FPS and I'm looking for a gaming headset with my most important feature being sound performance. What are your thoughts on the turtle beach elite atlas pro vs the Hyperx Cloud Flight....besides one being wireless.
Nobody:
Like no one:
Hardware canucks: uhhh I’ll take it
i just bought them. Very pleased!
