Martial fits perfectly in Ten Hags plan. He needs a striker that falls back to ask for the ball creating spaces for Rashford and Anthony. Martial doesn't score but him making spaces and asking for the ball to link up play has been really great and created goals and big chances.

what is important about this performance is that you can see the fact that we are not relying on individual brilliance anymore. you don't see a lot of dribbling or fancy shot.
but a lot of passes and link up play that only has 1-2 touches before passing the ball up. if we keep building this up, then great things will come.

It's not rocket science. If any of the previous managers signed / could sign two world class midfielders (Eriksen, Casemiro), and dropped the worst defender we have had in recent memory (Maguire), then the results would naturally improve.

But let's also be realistic about a few things:
1) He hasn't won any trophy yet. (good thing we are still in the running for four competitions)
2) United's net transfer spending this season has been the highest since....maybe never. Definitely the highest since SAF retired in a single season and the Jan window hasn't closed.
3) I don't like what Ronaldo did with the interview, but neither do I like what EtH did. It remains a fact that Ronaldo is a proven goalscorer, and there has to be some level of mismanagement for things to end this way. It's quite predictable how Ronaldo would respond to certain triggers, and EtH clearly pushed all the right (or wrong) buttons, depending on which side of the fence you're on.
4) Apart from this latest win against Bournemouth, United has struggled to score / put games away. It is a good work in progress, but still nonetheless a work in progress.
There are some good things EtH has done tactically, and in addressing the lack of discipline, and to get United up to joint-third is commendable. With Chelsea / Liverpool / Spurs and even the dark horse Newcastle seemingly faltering of late, we might just make top 3 - how close we are near the top (I don't want to dream of being champions quite yet), will depend on whether EtH can get the players to kick up a gear.
And like in my original post said - you have a significant upgrade on the midfield (good riddance Pogba) and you stop your CB from being the chief culprit from leaking goals by benching him - you have a pretty good chance of doing well.
I still wear my United jerseys proudly, but let's face it, we have been a joke in recent years. I have no doubt that we will come good again. Pool fans waited 30 years. I hope we won't have to wait as long.
I just know that Sancho will come back stronger and better, which I patiently await..

I probably am speaking way too soon when I say this but I really am the most excited about United that I’ve been since SAF retired. ETH just seems to of really cracked something. All the players WANT to play for him and it’s now CONSISTENT in our performances. I remember back with Van Gaal when we were signing good names like Memphis, Di Maria and Falcao etc and the transfers were exciting but never really felt like it was filling the missing pieces that ETH’s transfers have.
It’s helped us as fans to believe that we really can go all the way again. Under Ole it felt we had a ceiling but ETH I feel can lead us things we could’ve only dreamt of the last 5 years

Their angles are better. Everyone knows where they must be in certain situations unlike before. Moyes played traditional CDM and the rest was cross header, Van Gaal was criss cross left right up down down up left left right right, Mourinho was dynamic positioning & structure, Ole was fluid with a lot of running up flanks like SAF's era but lacked the talents to make it happen, Rangnick was a joke but this guy has molded United into a deadly squad, that looks like the old tikki takka Barca
