@@indigomindset6861 I'll look forward to about a year from now when Juri should be starting to get fluent with Korean. It usually takes foreign idols about 3 years to reach fluency and another year past that to really be able to completely express themselves. Her experience as an idol in Japan should shorten her learning curve on how to be funny in Korean as she'll already be comfortable in the format, she just needs the vocabulary and cultural references to express things in Korean in a funny or quick way.
I believe sohee and dahyun got some potential in english. The others are freaking funny. Please never change.

Yeonhee actually took English classes when she was younger, if you watch the episode of Heechul and Shindong's Internet Cafe, where Juri, Suyun, and Yeonhee were on one of the episodes and she is actually really good :)

That's kind of a classic example of Konglish, where an English term is so heavily used in Korea it has effectively become Korean and it's easy to forget the word's origin was English and that is it one of those cases where the words in English are the same.
Or like “heavy rotation” in Japanese..... some people think it’s J slang but no. It’s an actual english phrase from radio (meaning the song is played frequently). Also called “power rotation”

I'd think that some Korean-American entrepreneur should put together an English immersion school that has association with some dance and singing teachers and approach Korean entertainment companies with the idea of sending trainees over for a three month to one year immersion while still training. Perhaps do it in conjunction with a performing arts high school if they are still in high school. It seems like having a couple members with really good English skills would help a lot with marketing to overseas markets in other parts of Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas where if it isn't the first language it is the most common second language in most cases especially among those with disposable income to buy albums and merchandise. There are several members here that I think if they had been sent over to the US or Canada for several months in a language immersion program they would be able to converse in English pretty well.
With all respect, I think the English for international marketing part belongs to the company. The idol can learn English by choice, besides they have already a lot subjects to learn in preparing themselves to be idol (PR, camera act, acting in general, sing, dance, rap, variety skill, etc) don't forget that most of them debuted at school age so they have school subjects to think about while at it, they're so young. Most of the idols are just young kids pursuing their dream
@@rafirahadian9290 Well I wasn't talking about a forced situation. I was thinking more along the lines of the company approaching those interested in doing so as there probably would be some that would jump at the chance to study abroad for a few months to a year. That's why I mentioned that if they were high school age it be tied to a high school in some way much like an exchange program, but with more of an idols' after school training focus via the private academy, so they continue working towards debuting and don't stagnate or backslide with their skills. Many idols are already studying English in school especially if they are planning to take the college entrance exams at some point, so some might enjoy the chance to improve their English skills through immersion. Definitely wouldn't want to see something where the entertainment company forced someone to go, but gave it as an option for some trainees that were interested or had pretty good English skills already.
I agree in your brilliant comment opinion and I don't see any harm if they try this Immersion English Program since it will benefit them in the long run for promotion campaigns abroad and academic interest. Gaining international fans abroad is an advantage and must not be overlook by the Entertainment Company if they want to play bigtime with their ace talent 🙂
@@kentvesser9484 I'm agree with the idea it's a really good one, but mistreatment towards idol especially rookies or trainees is really common in Korean entertainment industry. I just don't want this school become a chance for the companies to mistreat their trainees/rookie idols (mistreatment such as forcing them to go and pay the tuition fee by themselves for example)
