Gone are the days of cheap EMT. Pre-covid a 10 foot stick of 3/4" was 6 bucks. Just picked up a bunch at HD for a 2'x10' 4-tier shelf build @ $13 each! Is it time to move on to rebar?! 😂
When we first launched the Kickstarter it was $3.50 per 10-foot stick! It'll come back down before too long. I imagine the normal price will be around $6-7
When I moved into my house the previous owner left a whole pile of emt in my back yard I was looking for something to do with it and this video definitely gave me some inspiration but very thankful for the free material.
I am building an enclosure for a community garden plot. This community has a HHHUUUUGGGEE problem with mice and gophers. I watched your hinge video but it looks like those solutions have small gaps around the door. Any ideas for blocking/plugging up that gap so the tiny mice can’t get in? Door only needs to open out. I was thinking maybe a strip of wood with holes drilled in it so that zip ties could attach it to either the door side or the stationary piece of EMT. Appreciate any advice and ideas

The conduit size you use depends on the project and how much it needs to hold etc. 1/2" EMT works well for small and lightweight applications. You can find different options for cutters by searching "screw feed pipe and tube cutters". Thanks for the comment.

Our connectors are designed to fit either 3/4" and 1" EMT Conduit natively, but we do have some inexpensive adapter shims that allow you to build with 1/2" EMT Conduit using the 3/4" Connectors. You can buy the shims separately or get them included with the 1/2" connector variant on the product pages. Let me know if you have any more questions!
