Thanks for your video, mate. I love my 450Mt here in Victoria, Australia!
Thank you for coming by the page man! Hope you are enjoying it as much as I am - seems Australia got there before anyone else on ordering these things in!
I’ve done the software upgrade when I did the 1000 kms service, upgrade to the 15th tooth front sprocket and a performance air filter, jerkiness is 80% better! Greetings from Portugal
Hey Ricardo, thanks for coming by dude! The air filter is a new one, I will most definitely keep this in mind moving forward. Hope you are enjoying the bike out there in Portugal!
I'm 6'2 and also added windshield extension, 20e on aliexpress, noise was unbearable. Another upgrade I would highly suggest is 15t front sprocket, it changes how bike feels and sounds, and less twitching.
I’m debating the 15t although I’m never on the tarmac right now! The twitching is now only an issue in the city - otherwise it has seemed to lessen (or I’ve gotten used to it)
In Australia our laws say that you DONT have to get your bike ( any brand) serviced by the manufacturers dealership, as long as a qualified mechanic uses OEM filter / parts and lubricants. In Australia they can not enforce that so over here you will still get the extra warranty.
@@itsallabouttheridekeepingi4449 thanks for this mate. I need to call them over here tomorrow and get it all clarified.
@ , check your laws as well incase they try and pull the wool over your eyes 👍
I agree, very happy with mine too. I have the aftermarket GPS mount which is just above the dash & the Garmin XT2 Zumo.
Do you have a link to this? Would love to check it out - the mount that is
@Papanchasonline I've had a couple of goes at replying but seems UA-cam/Google are too sensitive for their own good. Apologies Man. ✌️😎
Just get the 're mapping done on the throttle, let's remember this is an affordable 450cc small adventure bike, that has had rave reviews, yes there's some small issues, but again cfmoto and all manufacturers do not make each bike to fit individual riders, that's up to u. I really appreciate that Cfmoto have listened to the rider and built a bike that is an all round winner. 🇦🇺🤙💯
I hope it’s clear that I absolutely love this bike… I’m giving honest thoughts on very small things here, not putting the bike down. I think it’s fantastic !
Great honest update review on the bike, usually any vat registered garage can carry the work out as long as they use genuine parts for warranty.. All the best💯👍
See this is my thoughts although every dealership is adamant I have to go to a registered CF Moto dealer for service... hm. I'll do some digging prior to the 3,000 mile. Thanks mate!

Nice entry mate! I’m really glad that you’re happy with the new bike
@@danklyrides3735 hey amigo! Loving it. Can I get you a sticker sent out? Unfortunately I don’t have your contact outside of YT so I can’t get a hold of you. Just let me know…
Thanks for the video. My MT coming next month. What type of quad lock mount did you use?
Congrats on the new bike! Here you are mate - www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/quad-lock-360-bar-clamp-base/bar-clamp-small?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD-gVdGv0hkVCL6iQ0qG3DB7lTNnm&gclid=CjwKCAiAxea5BhBeEiwAh4t5K_ZzHnYndRN0rZ2DFOZZ6BlpuvN_HN2NsuwXX-6T5WHC1HmrVlg_1RoCVFYQAvD_BwE
It does shake about a fair amount. Could do with a better tower, but does the job!
Thanks from the U.S. The bike should be here soon. Do you know where the water is getting into the frame? Another item is how a manual throttle cable can be controlled by mapping?
Very exciting! Top of the subframe, it has holes on each side - and I believe it's more of a fuelling issue than the throttle itself, thats where the mapping comes in!
Hello, regarding the subframe is a 30€ part. Why even bother??? When i got mine i just remove the cable clips and taped the holes and put a zip tie hoolding the cables. I'm doing a big trip then i will remove the subframe check for water and sort it out for good. About the high revs in express way, the solution is a smaller wheel sprocket or a 15t front sprocket. Hope i have helped and i will be waiting for the next videos. Xau
I just put a load of WD40 in my subframe.
@@wozza59 or acf50... when i remove the parts i will tig weld the holes and run removable zip ties
Hey Mike - the dealership did it under warranty, there was no bother for me. If I had to do it myself Id of done a similar thing to yourself - given Im riding in wet conditions a fair amount, Id rather have a solution for them to drain (or as you've said below, permanently patch them) than to have to keep checking them for water and removing them.
Front sprocket will soon be on order, its not been a huge bother... just a small observation.
Thanks for the tips mate, I really appreciate the thoughts in the comments here!
I just put silicone down the top off the sub frame to stop the water getting in
I think I will most likely join you on that too… although I’ve a feeling it probably came from riding all the fords recently. They were pretty full 🤪
Service intervals are short, & pricing is quite high, I've one in February. Hopefully, sometime down the line, these intervals could be pushed out to 5000 miles with a quality oil!!
@ let’s be honest, an oil change and filter change is easily done at home. But I guess this is how they get you… if you want the warranty you have to pay to have it done. I can imagine you’d get away with 5,000 miles no issue, although in the manual, they state that if ‘off roading’ you should half that!
@@PapanchasonlineNot forgetting in the UK if you get your bike serviced at a CF Moto dealer your breakdown recovery resets for another year up to a max of 8 years.
@@wozza59 did not know this!
I’m genuinely intrigued and grudgingly impressed by this latest generation of Chinese bikes. As an all year rider, 3,000 mile service intervals would have me going to the dealers about three times a year during the warranty. I’ll stick with Mr Honda’s products for now but I’ll reluctantly tip my hat at CF Moto!
Likewise - I must of ridden over 15,000 miles this year, so I’d of been 5 times already… BUT I’m going to do some digging tomorrow, and see what the deal actually is with this Warranty. Can’t beat a trust Honda though!
We have 2 450mt in Poland. The throttle off idle is borderline cruminal. The lower tubes, spary in your favorite corrosion, preventing fluid and silicone, close the top of the tubes. The 15T is good mod, when u ride 14/15 back to back 15 is the winner. The 6th gear should have been much taller. It's a sweet bike otherwise.
Thank you for the pointers mate... I just hope the sub frame doesn't corrode too quickly over the winter months.
I think it's disappointing that the 2 main issues of frame and throttle have not been properly fixed still, issues have been around for a while now. Is your rear right indicator melted ?
@@esrider7765 I will check that when I take the bike out tomorrow, thanks for the heads up. Small things but agreed, easily fixed yet no real solutions yet
Mi like desde España 🇪🇦🇪🇦, yo los he tapado por arriba y el agujero. Cuanto HP tendra con el mapeo nuevo? Se queda un poco corta mapeo y escape unos 52cv
I’m not totally sure!
Connect your phone with the cfmoto app installed to your bike then update your software and get rid of that „jerky throttle“.
Cheers
As soon as it’s available on the app I will do!
I rode the CFMoto and the 450Himi back to back. Both amazing to ride but pulled the trigger on the Himi as i just couldn't live with the jerky throttle on the CFMoto and i also found the gearbox on the Himi to be much smoother. Both bikes are excellent though.
Yep - nice choice mate, how are you finding the Himy now you own one? Ill be honest, the jerky throttle has become less and less of an issue - the only place its a pain is in London when its stop start all of the time!
@Papanchasonline loving the Himi. Very happy with my purchase. A smooth ride was important to me and some people had reported that the jerky throttle was only partially fixed with the update and I wasn't prepared to take the risk. The Himi is smooth like butter and I like the semi retro look too. Happy days 😄
@@gothegravel looooove it. I agree with everything you have said about the Himy - it's a lovely lovey bike. Glad to hear you are enjoying it mate, thats all the matters.
Cheers. Have woken up to a glorious spring day here in NZ, so I will be heading out for some gravel riding, once I get myself up and sorted 🤓@@Papanchasonline
Hi J. Might be useful to film where the water is getting into that tube, if you can. I would have thought a couple of rubber endcaps might prevent the water ingress if the tubes have an opening. Is CF Moto rectifying this issue for the next batch of bikes? Or will they come with pre drilled holes from the start? Cheers and keep up the good work!
Holes from the start I believe
Yup holes from the top... I have no idea, Id imagine it falls within warranty but we will have to see when it comes to replacing them. The holes only do so much, ideally they could do with sitting to dry, then coating, then plugging. But thats not exactly easy to find time to do given its Autumn and Im riding daily right now! Stickers are on its way amigo!
My Australian dealer told me as long as the bike is serviced by a qualified mechanic the warranty will stand although (in Australia) the warranty will then drop from three years to two.
Ive heard similar things... I need to really look into this. Dealerships over here are adamant it has to be done with a certified dealership otherwise it's void. Ill do some research and come back with some answers in a vlog (for the UK)
Sziasztok! Az EU ban 5 a garancia és egy szerviz 110 euró körüli áron van 5000 km vagy évente az első szerviz 1000 km után következik!!
Himi or mt? Im thinking hard and dont which one is better?
That is the big question right now! I think you’ve really got to give them both a go.
@Papanchasonline i tried both. Re is sinple and preety bike mt Looking more like t7 and have this lovely sound . Why did you chose mt instead of re?
@ I never got to test the MT - so buying it was a gamble. Personally I find it more aggressive, and I like that… more so when off road. I prefer the shape and the position I am in when riding… it really boils down to that. The Himy felt stylish, felt comfy, and felt lovely to ride, but I wasn’t sold on it. It just felt a bit softer and top heavy. That’s the best way I can describe my thoughts when choosing between the two.
@@Papanchasonline is what im thinking. Thank you. Royal have got this prrety sinple look what i love but position is better on mt.
As an independent mechanic, I've no idea were the main dealers get their servicing prices from.
I charge less than half for the same.
That’s interesting to hear mate, thanks for sharing. The thing is, is that this kind of work is easily done from home… I need to do some digging into the servicing and warranty
I will need to follow up with my local dealer in the US on warranty and service requirements. If the requirement to take the bike to a CF Moto dealer to keep the warranty in effect holds true for the US, that's going to be a deal breaker for buying one. I suspect it might turn off a lot of buyers in the US as well.
Nope, they cant do that in the US
You might have to do some real digging but seems like you may have an answer below!
The warranty part is a lie.. you do not need to have them done by dealerships. you need to keep the receipts for what you bought to do the service but it does not need to be done by them.. which in our cases truly only is oil changes.. you are allowed to do these yourself and keep the receipts for your oil and filters.
@@Dutch800s is this confirmed knowledge? If so that is great news as will be doing the future services myself, until the biggies.
@Papanchasonline I know that in most countries it's illegal to mandate you to a specific dealership. Some countries might tell you to at least use a mechanic but not which. In the US it's mostly about IF it happened. My dealership told me to just do it myself and keep receipts. For the "scheduled" oil changes I use factory preferred brand
Hi, what version of the software do you have? I have in Sweden something like 1.0.30. I still have that jerkiness issue when start increasing the throttle.
Hey! I haven't actually checked... Ive just been riding it. I know the fix - the remap - isn't available in the UK yet so Im most likely on the same as you. The only place I find it a problem is when in the city, otherwise it's stopped being so much of a bother.
Change the Front Sprocket on 15 Tooth. It makes the bike awesome! (Choose the CFMOTO, original one).
@renapon9316 on the road maybe. Could end up needing to slip the clutch off road.
Ive heard this time and time again, Im debating it... but for the time being I can live with it the way it is. It's a beautiful thing to ride off road. Thanks for the tip!
huh ? why do screen extensions when you can buy a taller screen for LESS and it looks a lot better. My 45cm screen was delivered for the equivalent of 32.43 pounds/38.87 euro. A 55cm version was also 36.57pounds/43.83euro. Shop around
Because it was an immediate fix for a 4 hour motorway ride… but thanks for the heads up! I’ll
Be sure to check em out
the intervals and necessity for a CF moto certified Dealershit makes the warranty useless for me.
I need to ride 100km just to my dealer and then pay a premium cause its a nice shop.
Rather have it serviced by myself and loose the warranty. in the end its a 5k bike and not a 100k lucury car
I need to fully look into this, as always, it isn’t stated anywhere very clearly… so I think I’ll be giving them a call today to ask what the deal is.
They do offer breakdown cover, replacement bike, accommodation etc as part of it year on year when serviced by CF Moto which is a nice touch.
But I totally understand, and for only being an oil and filter change it’s an expensive service.
@@Papanchasonline in the end the engine just needs oil changes and filter changes. thats about it.
rest of the bike seems reliable so far. so im going to risk it with not going to the certified dealer and do services on my own or a nearby hobby mechanic who is just 60$/h instead of 120$ a hour (our prices are insane)
I can’t seeing it being a problem until the big service… although it’s all computerised that’s the issue. So unless you’ve got the hardware to update the servicing - I think I’ll be biting the billet at least for a while.
@@Papanchasonline with hardware to update the servicing, you mean just reseting the service timer in the bike right?
Just completed the first 1000km for the first service.
Open highway: I am constantly dropping back to 88-90km an hour, and that's just me subconsciously concerned about the revs. It feels wrong.
Sticky gearbox.
A shit dealer can be a deal breaker.
I was already sold on the bike regardless.
But I've felt like dumping the bike in the yard and setting it on fire.
The guy is a c•••head.
I've had a direct call from China about it.
Luke, get yourself a 15t front sprocket from Uncles Wang’s shop. It drops the revs slightly by around 400RPM. I find cruising at 100kmh (62mph) absolutely fine. Yes I find the gearbox slightly notchy, but I think it has improved over time.
@wozza59 yeah absolutely mate.
Sorry to hear about your dealer Luke - I guess the issue is it's not massively established yet, and many dealerships are currently closing down. Hopefully you've got someone else you can go to thats closer... although for my service I travelled 3 hours as I knew they'd look after me.
As below, I think the sprocket would aid this. Having said that, 70 is OK - I wouldn't want to hold it there for hours on end but it keeps up. I'll put it to the real test on this when and if I take it away next year.
Keep us updated mate!
@Papanchasonline there is another dealer through KTM. But at this stage I only have to deal with the service crew.
We're almost at an era like Tesla. Where you can order online.
Then the dealer will have to get a real job.
The bike with the low seat is attrocious. The high seat fix does not fix the heavy weight and bulky tank, or boat handling. Bikes will never be good again.
Personal preference... sounds like you are looking for an MX or a trial bike. The Husky 701 ticks those boxes. I find this bike awesome to handle both on and off road - main thing is that it's affordable and can also do long distance. Change the tyres, and this thing would be ideal for almost any work IMO. Im rarely on the seat!
@Papanchasonline All bikes 300 to 500cc adhering to the A2 license (=heavy, underpowered, boring) is a personal preference or permanent destruction of a whole category? If this bike was designed without the marketing department it would be golden and close to the same price. It would be 15Kg less and 15HP More. 820mm seat height for an "adventure" bike is for pigmies. If the seat was stock higher, it would also provide for room for fuel, or make the tank much smaller or simply clearance.
