本作は、アイアンマン、キャプテン・アメリカ、ソーら、これまで地球の危機を幾度となく救ってきた最強ヒーローチーム“アベンジャーズ”と、宇宙にうごめく悪の背後に存在し続けてきた最凶最悪の＜ラスボス＞サノスとの壮絶な戦いを描いたアクション大作。
解禁となった映像は、『アベンジャーズ』シリーズに初登場したガーディアンズ・オブ・ギャラクシーのメンバーと、アベンジャーズのメンバーであるソーが、偶然宇宙で初対面をはたしタッグを組むシーン。
サノスに宇宙船を襲われて弟のロキを失い、精神的にも肉体的にも傷を負った雷神ソーは、銀河一“ヤバい”落ちこぼれチーム、ガーディアンズの宇宙船に拾われる。ソーは、マンティスの頭に生えた触覚による特殊能力によって起こされると、「お前たち、何者だ？」と警戒しながら問いかける。
やがて、同じ敵サノスを追っていることがわかり、打ち解けていくソー。6つ集めれば世界を滅ぼす無限の力を手に入れられると言われるインフィニティ・ストーンを集めるサノスを止めるために、ガーディアンズたちは二手にわかれて行動することに。
この映像の見どころは、シリアスな展開と、ガーディアンズたちが繰り広げる独特でコミカルな掛け合いのギャップ！ サノスの養女ガモーラによってサノスの野望が「人口を半分にして宇宙の不均衡を正すこと」で、6つのインフィニティ・ストーンを集めたら「指を鳴らすだけ」でサノスがその野望を実現できることが明かされるなど、本作でとても重要になる要素が語られる。

Nah, I think it's the opposite, he knew Thanos wouldn't kill them. Keep in mind that despite Thor being against him, Thanos didn't have a personal grudge and didn't kill him. After Gamora's explanation of Thanos' aim, I'm sure he knew Thanos wasn't just killing people that were against him and the real aim was to kill half the population, which means he knew Thanos most likely wasn't going to kill the few Guardians going there, otherwise it would betray his goal; at random, dispassionate, fair to rich and poor alike.
Maybe that's why he called them morons

And in all honesty quill would’ve lost that fight, quill lost his mother, father figure, and was forced to kill his father while Thor lost his mother, father, brother, homeworld, many of his friends (warriors three and hiemdal), and was forced to kill his sister by initiating ragnarock. The fact that all but one of those things happened within only a couple of weeks-months makes it more painful for Thor
Wow your point made me realize the parallels between Quill and Thor, at least in Quill's reaction of posturing and trying to one up him: Drax said Thor looked like the son of a pirate and an angel, while Starlord was the "son" of a raider and a god.

I like how Thor believed in Vision and Dr. Strange that they would keep the stones safe with the help of the rest of the Avengers whom he realized was a growing team (Vision, Wanda, Rhodey, and Sam joining the team last time Thor was on Earth). Unfortunately he didn't know the Avengers broke up which was a major factor for them losing the stones. Also in the first Avengers movie, I like how Thor showed respect to Cap, Stark, and Banner when he told Fury "I thought humans were more evolved than this... you treat your champions with such mistrust". Even though Thor didn't really like them at the time, he recognized and respected them as Earth's champions, coming from his Asgardian warrior/protector mentality. You see the same mentality in Cap when he told Ross "Earth just lost her best defender (Tony), so we're here to fight". Asgard didn't have corrupt, power-hungry government agencies like SHIELD, HYDRA, and Secretary Ross, to put down their own defenders. I'm pretty sure Odin and Thor would have none of that
It's not easy managing a planet of 7 billion people. All the asgardians fit on 1 ship however

I just love this scene, Thor is just being Thor.
Cant wait for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, since Thor joined them at the end of endgame. I also love the part in endgame, at the very beginning of the film, when Iron Man and Nebula we're playing paper football, and when you barely catch Nebula smiling for a split second, since she beat him...and Tony Stark says: "And you win, Congratulations...fair game, that was fun, good sport." Nebula replied: "It was fun." Since Thanos treated her like she was a failure, where Iron Man was the best father figure she ever had, just for that brief moment...priceless..loved it. Karen Gillan playing her role as Nebula, made her one of the best characters in the MCU to watch on screen. ;)

Thor was right to call them morons. The GotG are relatively low powered except for Groot. Drax got the Shyt kicked out of him by Ronan before that guy had any stones, then he rushes out to try to take on a Thanos with 2 stones.

Thor’s concern and sense of urgency makes more sense when you realize that Thanos bodied the two strongest Avengers : Him and Hulk. Hulk survived because of Himedal and Thor survived because Thanos thought he was dead. Plus Thor and Hulk were the only ones to fight Thanos hand-to-hand, so they were the only ones who knew how strong he was. Thor, however, has a better scope of the situation as he can predict how much stronger Thanos could get from acquiring each stone. Thor made the right choice here by going for a weapon that could match Thanos.
This is the best dialogue in IW everything everyone says is so natural and intimating. The humiliation is on point. I literally could watch it again and over again

Ikr when I realized that I was depressed af 😭 I guess because Ronan had taken out most of the Nova Corps and Xander's defenses in the first GOTG movie so when Thanos and the Black order showed up there wasn't that much fighting they had to go through before they got the power stone and decimated Xandar
So proved that GOTG vol 1 was a waste of time for the legendary team
@@Kyle_765 Ultimately it didn't matter, we've seen the scale of Thanos' armies in full force in Endgame. I doubt Xandar and the Nova Corps can repel an invasion of that magnitude. Without a single Stone on hand, Thanos would go all out to seize the first one.
Ronin was orginal working for Thanos so he could do exactly that to Xandar. So wrecking the planet was well within Thanos's power without any stones.
