Howard Jones Live at Anthology

- The second "feature" is techno-pioneer Howard Jones from 7-12-2008. Anthology had been open for a bit more than a year, and this show was the staff favorite of 2008 (possibly magnified because there was neither drumset nor guitar amps blasting out their brains, a very rare event). Such great songs and great performances by all!
Just shows how good HJs songs are. They really stand the test of time. They're so well written. I bought many of his singles 7" & 12" and albums - I've still got them! I also recorded a program about HJ (by Peter Powell) on a cassette that I still have!! Time waits for no man but it had to catch up to Howard. He was way ahead of his time - blazed a trail! Never heard of the backing singer - she's great
Howard is like good wine, more precious in every decade!
I love Howard's words on the vast majority of his songs. He is able to convey a deeper meaning through his music and words and has the ability to try and help the listener to carry on despite the darkness of modern materialism with it's emphasis on money instead of on the dream of universal harmony and equality for all beings.
Chilling out on a FRI nite on the deck......Listening to this...Cranked up loud!!...Living the dream!!...
So nice to see included the classic "Hide and Seek" a song that is truly wonderful. Howard conveys spiritual truth with beautiful music.
Truly lovely concert. Howard has always something positive and uplifting to say.
the wonderful Laura Clapp.........singer, keyboardist, guitarist
I used to wear my Howard Jones badge in '84/85. I still would willingly- if I could find it / one. For he is great.
I just checked eBay and there were a lot of them for sale with different designs, if you still want one.
Always loved Howard, incredible guy, keep gigging!
Damn the time and gravity. sure miss the 80's
this is what you can do with out a big band ....shame we do not see this sort of thing today !!!!
The Welshman inspires at every level.
Howard jones at is best ..how many people can make this sound with 3 people !!!!
In the 80s he did it mostly on his own - amazing!
fukin amazing wish i was their !!!!

lol that was cute
🎹 Music!
Its new video very enjoy kayoko
Big HJ fan , i think the vocals are a bit dry here, could do with some reverb, and should of used his head mic.
no vocal reverb.feels more intimate nice unpretentious set like this
I actually felt it needed a bit of reverb....Love Howard Jones...
HoJo ... Just Fan !
Hope you find me in you
Who is the female singer? I keep replaying the part in the beginning where he introduces her but the most I can hear is "Laura..."?
Laura Clapp
pure hj
missing a drummer with an afro
Why such a dry vocal?
Elder Gods Band probably recorded straight from the desk, so you don’t really hear the reverb in the room.
I'm a Howie fan but this seemed a bit... weak.
agree - sounds like a poor triubute.
Bad recording, but great musician! And DJ fella. And backing singer - fab voice and rhythm, compliments the group (and I wouldn't kick her out of bed either, lol)
That backing vocalist is bloody awful.
