  • Victor From Texas saw some of the videos and wanted to add to a customized wedge that showed off the local school colors.
    We take apart the wedge and make it more personal.

    Mr. McGolf, I really do appreciate the hard work you put in building a wedge for me. I can't thank you enough. I recieved my wedge on Friday morning that same day I played and I shot my best a 78.

      did the yellow ferrule help with any shots?

    Nice work Jim. I can hardly wait to see what you did with the clubs in the box behind you.. :)

    Scared me just watching it! I switched to butane instead of a heat gun for heating heads after seeing how well it worked in your videos. I still use the heat gun for softening ferrules, however. Watching this video, I learned another “pro tip”: Piece of tape to keep the ferrule in place. Check! Thanks for another awesome video!

    Great job. I am sure that you are loving this cold weather. Not!!! Have a great Thanksgiving. Question:. Can you talk about junior clubs and how they should be picked and created?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  5 років тому

      Matt Revilock it depends on how junior they are. Initially moms and dad should pick out the clubs by the height of the golfer then by the talent. Check out US Kids. They do it right

    why are you using a torch to heat the hosel before pulling & not a herat gun?!?
    You could "blue" or tarnish the sucker!

    Very nice!! Just wondering what you would do if after removing the original ferrule, the shaft was abraded further up than where the new ferrule would end?

      Gary Yip I would have called the customer to tell him that I could trim the shaft and bore the head to get what he needed.
      He just called and said he broke 80 using the club!!!!

    I dont get it . Why did you just not pull the head off and then just slide the ferrel off ? I have never used a puller for a iron shaft .

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  5 років тому

      johnathan wetherill taper shafts in many cases are pressed into the hosel. Secondly a lot of times the ferrule creates a bond with head making it difficult to just twist off, also trying not to marr the shaft. Thus use of the puller

    Beautiful job on a beautiful club!
    I noticed you sized up the ferrule before install. Was that because those types can't be turned? Or to minimize polishing the black surfaces?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  5 років тому +1

      Actually to make the ferrule wasn't going to be too small. I like finishing the ferrule to the proper size

    Does anyone know what they use to change the port colours on the Mack daddy ? Is it just a paint fill over the existing colour ?

    I need a UA-cam of somebody airbrushing and painting a wedge. I wanna change my colors. Don’t know how

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  4 роки тому

      paint fill is easy but if you are lookig to change the color completely say from chrome to black thats a job for a shop like golf works.

      @@McGolf Two questions: what paint do you use to fill the wedge? And what drill bit do you use to clean hosels and shafts out?
