Cyberpunk Miata Build: Carbon Fiber Turbofans. Part 2 of 2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 чер 2024
- Finishing up the 3D printed turbofans by covering them in carbon fiber, as well as designing the flat covers to go on the top. In this video I experimented with a new pattern that changes appearance depending on the angle of the light hitting it, giving an animated "glitchy" effect when in motion.
Enjoy the video.

Hi everyone! I know these videos have taken a little longer to come out so thank you for waiting. This ended up being my longest video ever so if you want to skip through please at least make sure you see the clip of it rolling at 54:05. I'm really proud of how this effect came out and this was basically 3 weeks of work for only a few seconds of video 😂
Based on your feedback I decided to leave everything in and give you the option to watch as much as you want. I know some of you just like having something to help you fall asleep to haha.
항상 잘 보고있습니다. 당신의 열정에 무한한 응원과 박수를 보냅니다! 어떻게 완성될지 마지막이 궁금하네요 😊😊
Hello from 🇫🇷 !
Vous avez bien raison de laisser la vidéo en entier !
Votre travail est incroyable !!
I love these long episodes! And your ride looks sick! The deep dishes up fron and the aero's out back look amazing together!
EDIT: Hmmm... maybe you're right and the aero's should go in the front... I don't know... both look cool!
@@akumabito2008 Cheers man. Function wise you'll always see turbo fans on the front because those are the brakes that are doing the most work and so you want to keep them cool.
But that would probably be the only functional consideration I've made on this whole car so I'm tempted to do the opposite and keep them on the rear just to mess with people. Like my air vent that leads straight into a filler cap but it's fine because the cap is fake and there's nothing behind it.
Great work as ever!! Keep it up.. I think it looks a bit too low on the rears compared to the front, I’d raise it about 20mm would help balance the look and also help those rear wheels fit within the arches.. but that’s just my opinion 😅
Brilliant stuff, this whole car is like a prop for a movie that doesn’t exist.
Maybe we can trick someone into making a movie just as an excuse to use the car haha. Maybe Fast and Furious 77, Cyberpunk Tofu Delivery edition
If you would please simply build Kaneda's bike (with a functional turbine drive line) to photograph next to each other, that'd be great.. (I would die. for real.) @@TofuAutoWorks
@@thechadwick22 I definitely love Kaneda's bike but what I enjoy is designing and making new things so I probably wont build any replicas of something that already exists on this channel. But I would 100% think about making some sort of cyberpunk bike in the future.
Glitch pattern was great. Light hitting them as they spin is unreal. Great work!
dude is building the darkest roughest car while living in green rolling hills... what a contrast to be had. respect!
Tofu never misses. Your work is inspirational and crazy at the same time. Cheers!
Thank you bro, I appreciate it!
I feel like a bot being this early to a video. Love this build.
Thanks mate!
I was surprised by how good that pattern looks in the sun! Great stuff, but when we're all sick of seeing turbofans on every build over the next few years, remember you and Tim started this trend. :D
Cheers mate! I hope I don't end up starting a new trend that we all get sick of in a couple years haha.
Bro you're a fuckin menace! Calling those turbofans insane would be a massive understatement. Your attention to detail, strive for perfection and near-flawless execution is motivation for myself and I'm sure a bunch of others in the comments. Keep making shit happen! We're here for it!
Thank you for another video. We are patiently waiting for another stagea video 😊
Cheers man. I'm going to be getting back into the Stagea either in the next video or the one after, I just needed to take a break from it and work my head on something different for a change. But don't worry, I'm itching to get back into it as well.
This would have been a show stopper at SEMA. Maybe next year man.
When they hold SEMA in NZ I'll be first to put my name on the list. 😆
You won’t find those hubcaps at walmart
He'd be traveling a long way for a Walmart anyhow!
But seriously, why don't companies make more or ANY turbofan hubcaps by wheel bolt pattern!? Seems like a huge market to miss out on, only see ones for Teslas
@@GoatSimpulator teslas need it for the breaks other car don't reall need them since its mostly cosmetics. Also you need deep wheel wells so it wouldn't be universal.
Agreed, the flat plates look better at the front. Such a good build! It's been very fun to see how this progresses!
Congratulations, you have won the hotwheels legends 2023!!!!
The glitch pattern looks so good when it's rolling!!
Oh man it was a relief that it actually looked how I imagined after spending over a month on them.
@@TofuAutoWorksI fully understand that stress, takes me a month to change my oil lol
Every time one of these comes out I'm like "There's no way I'll watch a whole hour of this..." and every time I watch the whole hour and at the end am like "I wish that was longer..."
Dude you really have talent!
Nice seal of approval from Hot Wheels! Great work and well deserved. Awesome commitment to your project.
Congratulations on winning the Hot Wheels Legends Tour! I’m super excited to get my own die cast model of the build!
Yes! It turned out great!
Always stoked for uploads. Love seeing your work
Amazing! The glass lay up is genius!
As usual, totally worth the wait. Loving the spinning carbon effect as well. The amount of work you put into sharing the videos with us is totally appreciated by all who view. Thanks much
Just incredible. You are an artist and a wizard.
Such a great looking car
That effect does indeed look gorgeous. Mind-blowing, even!
I love every minute of your videos mate
I think the red light in the back needs a cover 😁
They really complete the look
Got to love your work❤ well done and i have a lot of respect for your precision en dedication. Keep it up warrior 💪🏼
Really nice, can't wait for more.
Absolutely insane ! 🤯

Turns out better than expected! The glitch pattern effect is awesome!

Oh wow. What a change to cars look. GG
as always, very cool to se what you make, and an absolute joy watching your process (including the bits that don't work as hoped)
That thing is Immensely cool
when a tamiya 1:24 model kit won't do it.... this is amazing
So awesome!
Loved it when the light hit them and it was like they were illuminated piece by piece! Impressive work.
I can almost guarantee that sema will be filled with glitch carbon next year; it looks sick!
That thing looks so sick bro love it!
this is looking great. well done.
Honestly these looks perfect on it
absolutely gorgeous i wish all cars looked like this you have done and amazing job love the new wheel rims
It's beautiful
Fantastic quality of work!
Really impressive craftmanship!
Killing it as always my dude. Makes me want to start going wild on my miata as soon as the turbo gets upgraded.
Yeah I'll be the devil on your shoulder. Do it. 😈
@TofuAutoWorks parts have been ordered... The peer pressure is real even half way across the world....
good job , looking foward what comes next.
Man you’re so inspiring! You’re doing dream work!
Everything that you do is absolute art, my dude! And every part that you put out is a masterpiece! Loved the longer video, and I wish there was more, fully realizing how much work goes into these. You're an inspiration and you have my utmost respect! 🤘
masterpiece of art... like the rest of the car. Awesome bro
Excellent and perfect work. It was worth it
That jigsaw effect with the CF looks amazing. Plus it'll pop at different angles of light. Really cool stuff.
I love your work space, quite but with the background of nature at times, perfect.
Congratulations on winning the hot wheels legends tour ❤️
Crazy talented man, you make it look so effortless
That carbon effect in the sunlight is incredible
Man this stuff is inspiring.
Great work the result is incredible!
Finally understand the glitch effect after seeing it drive. Very cool!!!
Amazing work! The glitch pattern looks amazing 😉🛠🤟
You're an artist man !!!
Sick work man, it's tully impressive!
Outstanding.
Looks great!
The light reflecting off the mesh/strips is dope. Giving me ideas for some stuff I’m gonna try on my project…
Huge fan of the carbon fiber camo pattern, never seen anyone do that before, it looks sick!
Heck I love sitting back and learning parts fabrication stuff from these vids. I know this thing isn't a performance focused build, but I'm kinda glad you swapped the fans to the front at the end, knowing roughly how they work
Spectacular!!!
Very excellent, God bless you, a true artist
This Miatta protect is my favorite 🤩
This is so cool!
Couldn't WAIT for this AMAZING AND INSPIRED MAN
😱That glitch pattern looks amaZeballs! 🤩
Man you have more patience than then I ever will
Great Sunday!!!
On front 😍 Goddammit what a sweet projecyt, as you wrote, it looks unreal when in motion 👏
this channel is still underrated
Bro! you got hooked, Great work you inspire to keep working on my own projects
Enjoying a Sunday morning coffee with Tofu! 😎
Ridiculous craftsmanship. Moi Bueno, brother. 👊🏻💪🏻
Incredible work as always. I was a bit sceptical of the glitched carbon until I saw those wheels spin.
Side note: recently I learned of the existence of the mid-engine 1984 Honda Civic and for whatever reason, it reminded me of you and your work. It’d be interesting to see a future build take some aesthetic cues from it.
Got to be the coolest Miata in the world
Brilliant, only just recently found your channel but now can’t wait for each episode. 👍
Another amazing video. Love the new carbonfiber design
An absolute madman! 🔥🔥🔥
Cheers bro 🤙
Une œuvre d’art et un artiste
Am I the only one that got WINAMP install vibes from those goats? 😀
Beautiful place! 🙂
This build and the other guy building a Quadra v Tec are awesome
I'm not sure if I have ever seen more satisfying crafting videos with awesome resoult than yours dude. Actually ..i'm sure i haven't.
If only the guy who is building his own real life Quadra V-Tech knew how to create custom parts which don't look like they will fall apart when he turns the engine on. These looks amazing and even feel heavy just by the sound they make when you put them on the table.
your creativity and vision are mind boggling and your ingenuity to overcome the technical challenges of your creations is outstanding.
what you can achieve with limited resources on a garage is remarkable.
well done and Thank you for another very entertaining and interesting morning
Just saw this car is going to be a hot wheels! That's amazing man congratulations
Awesome work they look really cool on there
very cool work
The 3D printed jigs for cutting the shapes was *face melts* so good. That press-fit moment with the centre piece ... damn. Chubbed.
Your obsession with this art project is truly remarkable. I know about hand-made composite work, as I've mentioned in the past, and must give you a huge hat tip for doing thes projects. Thansk so much for sharing with us. I look forward to seeing more. Cheers.
