Once observe it… It’s a long dance. Dancers which are performed continuously has so much dance (harmony in their actions with blended raaga or music) in them. I think this is the greatest difference between dance from rich to poor or gold to glitter. It’s not about the eastern or western, people cultivated with rich simpleness which is very complex and the demo is here.
Interesting to see 2 male dancers for ArdhaNarishwar dance - where by definition one should be male and one female. It would be interesting to understand why they chose to do it this way instead.
Majestic Immortal Odissi Dance..Expressive Forms ..... Devine Appearance...it expresses the subject the story with Beautiful dance Forms, Detailing and narration of the story with no Excessive Drama. The best Classical Dance Form of India....and widely spread throughout the Globe 🌎. The sublime medley of movements, gestures and expressions connecting the human spirit with the divine soul. Odissi dance, one of the oldest forms of classical dance in India. The range of emotions portrayed is huge and touches every emotional chord - right from melancholy to ecstasy, sensual to rage, pride to devotion, and philosophical to the religious.👍 Immortal ODISHA ☝️
THAT WAS PERFECT!!!! THE COREOGRAPHY IS AWESOME AND THE DANCERS EXECUTED IT INCREDIBLE WELL!!! I FEEL VERY HAPPY TO SEE IT FROM BRAZIL. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HOURS OF PRACTICE! THANK YOU FOR BRING SUCH BEAUTY TO US! GOOD BLESSE YOU ALWAYS!!! ❤️
Excellent dancing. Both of you are trained very well. Loved your dance. Would have liked to invite you for our annual Sanjukta Panigrahi festival in Mumbai. But I am unhappy that you have not acknowledged that the original choreography is by Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. Also I see that part of his choreography is changed, you must also mention who has done the changed choreography.
Excellent teaching by guru Vichithra nanda swai and enjoyed well. This Gotipuastyle of Dance performed by sameerkumar and his colleague really disapointed the audience. May I collect the mobile number of the Guru please, reply
I would like to know your Guru's name and also who has taught you Ardhanariswara. Please answer my questions. Wishing you all the very best for an excellent dancing career.
It basically is a tribute to the Union of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati called Ardhanarisvara(Half-feminine-Lord in Sanskrit) representing the essence that is the Unity of Masculine and feminine expressions in divinity and creation.
The choreography for this piece is by my Guru, the immortal Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. If you perform his pieces it is imperative that you acknowledge his choreography, and that you absolutely do NOT tamper with it. Such pieces are sacred and must not be violated. This piece was choreographed for Sanjukta Panigrahi in 1979. I was with my guru at his residence in Cuttack on the very evening that the choreography was started: the first stanza is set to music by Pandit Bhubaneswar Mishra; the rest, by Pandit Raghunath Panigrahi. Performance without acknowledging the choreographer and the composer of the music is plagiarism. कला निपूण है, परंतु, सश्वा पर सत्रितव भाता नहीं.
The dance takes you to Indrasabha and the music takes you to Kailasha. This is Hindu arts in the most pure form.
Can't imagine what a surreal feel that'd be to watch this program live on stage when one gets to feel the energy transfusing!!! Amazing performance!
