As far as crooked bales. Adjust the tension spring with the handles on the chute. Good Video

Is it witchcraft? I always thought so. 336 is a helluva baler. 336 likes to run up around PTO on your RPM. Fella I work with has 1, borrows my Uncle's 2510 JD Diesel to run it. He just put around the field high idle and bitched it didn't tie right etc. Told him wind it up. He'd argue "I'm in no hurry" then few days later, he had hay down at my place, rain was coming, but he wanted to go partying. I guess beer was more important then feeding his beef. So he asked me. Sure. He'd have a break or a no tie every 4 bales. I wound it up PTO speed on tach, started out in 4th, then bumped to 5th gear, and only had 1 miss 2 bales in. After that his old 336 was dropping perfect bales. He showed back up just after the rain and stood the bales up on end against each other. Let'R Eat!! It's not a 14T lol

Did you ever figure out why one side of the bale was longer than the other? I'm having the same problem.

Not exactly but I think I had to feed the baler. Meaning I was going too slow so the side of the bale was getting more hay that the further size of the chamber. Drive faster or rake more rows together. Providing both sides had equal pressure on the squeezing springs and the strings were similar is tuantness.

The side that's loose, crank the handle on the spring a turn or two

All you need is a rake and 20 acres of open ground.
