I guess my vision of document management is different types of documents such as Excel or Word or PDFs or whatever. This talk implies all documents have to be valid Json. Am I thinking about document management all wrong?

what if I have datetime data or numeric data where I need to perform > or< operation on these data type. How is performance there ?
