suuuuuuuch a clever idea. harping back to the days of turntablism via techno. its interactive, rhythmic, DIY. and from a marketing perspective genious because its a reason to buy 2 or more copies...
That's a bit reductive to be fair. No art is created in a vacuum. Every artist is aware of the burden of the past. All the work that has gone before them is bound to influence to varying degrees any creative endeavour. I think the end product in this case is different enough from Marclay's to be valid.
@@benhall2235 The problem with this guy is that in interviews in the past he said he deliberately took ideas from other sound artists - if he only acknowledged and recognised the work, especially of less well known ones that actually did original pioneering work with electricity and sound and light, there would be more respect for him. Visual art curators might love his work but many sound artists despise him because of this. More recently however, he has been trying to say that his acutal material ideas are unique such as a recent interview with DACS where he he says he's the first to hook up LEDS to amplifiers etc - Project Dark created much of what his work is based on decades ago and he is aware of this.
this is almost illegal in its dopeness
Already done by Christian Marclay and Project DARK

+Blanca UK They sell it as a pair of two identical 12", there is effectively no other choice than buying more than one ;-)
It's not his idea of course as he's just ripping off other artists such as Christian Marclay
Is this Christian Marclay's work?
Check out Christian Marclay who this guy has probably ripped off...
