The 2 welder outputs are in parallel, the power is from 2 separate 110v plugs. link for welder purchase: s.vevor.com/bfQj4U

Hey do you think with 3 or 4 of them you could do any real gouging with them? Would be interested in seeing. From Curious Canadian welder who is tempted to build 500$ disposable gouging rig vs buying a big blue 40 cause of lack of 3 phase in area.

Maybe, not sure, I think 6 or more as a guess, probably 8 of them @@-__-5612

@@HOWEES fair probly could get the amps but not enough juice behind it, that and the 20-30% duty cycle and questionable electronics probly make it not very practical vs RPC and old 400amp 3phase machine.

So, you're running two, 110V welders in parallel feeding one stinger?

    Wow, the "grapes" really fly!
It'd be interesting to switch out only the power source to a more "pure" DC machine and see the results. Maybe a generator-type?
    Humor us... switch the polarity.

Have you guys tried Messer MG 600 rod?

I have not used it. A quick search shows it to be similar to "Super Missile" rod.

@HOWEES I'm not familiar with "super missile" rod... here in the lower, the MG600 rod is approximately $64/# a bit expensive, but it works great...

I'm pretty sure that is the rod I used to weld a spring leaf on a really heavy duty grain trailer I have at the farm. I know it sounds stupid but the manufacturer was long out of business and all the shops that used to repair or build new truck springs within a couple hundred miles are gone. I followed all the pre-, interpass and post- heat instructions and it worked fine. I was very impressed. (Price was impressive, too, but it was worth it.)
