omgggg thank you thank you thank you for this vid!!! i was an amateur figure skater (was working on landing my first axel before my rink shut down permanently due to covid back in march 2020) and i just cant stand not skating anymore so ive been trying to transition to rollerblading to at least keep *some* of my muscle memory and this was so helpful and informative
This was very informative and really pleasant to watch. Both of you guys are awesome! I've learned tons from previous videos of yours and I hope you'll keep uploading. Personally, I have a lot more experience with inline skating than I do with ice skating (due to where I live), but a lot of moves feel so much better on ice (like crossovers)!
Recommended ice blades for inline skate boots? GC has a UFS one (although I probably wouldn't use my Unnatural boots on ice with those wide soul plates), Seba and FR have some (and I'd probably lean toward trying them with my FR1s).
Sorry misunderstood this the first time lol. I haven’t tried any of the ice blade attachments so I can’t say. I’d just get some entry level figure skates
Hi guys! I saw broc's instagram account and I loved his way of skating! My question is: I can't try this if I am a beginner, right? I mean I know skating, but I've never done figure skating or hockey, what do you recommend? Thank you and you are amazing guys! 💞✨
When you did those 3-turns, was that on straight skates or ones with a bit of a rocker? Also - I just went to somewhat better (still straight) inline skates. I could safely skate around the neighborhood in the old ones. In the new ones, even doing curves while going down the hill, I go uncomfortably fast. Have I just bought too good of boots for my skill level, or is there something I'm missing? I'm suddenly worried about doing the one foot stuff I used to do on one of the milder downslopes because I gather speed too quickly, while before I needed the slight downslope because otherwise I stopped.
Mary Bertke we always skate with a pretty substantial amount of rockering-did a video on it called “the Cityblades rocker” or something to that effect And yeah you probably just need to get used to the speed on the new skates. Get comfortable with a few stopping/slowing techniques, learn to slalom down hills like a skier, and you’ll be fine 🙂 wear wrist guards! It’s really a lot of fun once you’re not afraid anymore
@@CityBlades It's exhilarating - I'm just afraid of finding myself facing an unexpected car or child running into the street. Going to need to find a place to get some smaller wheels, I see. ;-)
Excellent inline skating video! :-) Thank you for sharing!

hello, can you pls do a twizzle tutorial?
banana /,/ it’s in the works 🙂 can you do them on ice?
@@CityBlades I'm trying to learn it with rollerblades. Sorry for the late reply and thanks for replying!
banana /,/ well the reason I ask is cause it’s not really like an ice twizzle, more like really edge-y fast double 3’s
@@CityBlades I was acyually talking about the twizzle in this video hihi ua-cam.com/video/Oa41kWb9We8/v-deo.html
@@baloney8133 yeah me too, deep carving double 3's
