That makes so much sense! We did see something about that at the will call window. Thank you for that info, we certainly felt the emotion in the crowd.
Saw Don Juan and Miguel way back 39-40 yrs ago at our first ever experience at this festival. Always so entertaining. So sorry to hear of Miguel’s death. He’s finally put his sword to rest.
@@travelbattles All of the red feathers you are seeing are likely a tribute to Miguel. He would also stand in the center of closing gate and sign the words to Parting Glass. Doug was so loved by all of us there...and is deeply missed. We are all supporting Don Juan and his daughter Esmerelda the very best we can.
It was such a beautiful tribute and we could feel how tight knit the people are at Scarborough. It truly felt like everyone was family. We can’t wait to go back!
As a Friend of Faire member for the 2nd year in a row, I can tell you without a doubt that Scarborough is the best! Not only can I get unlimited free entry, but I get close up parking, and free gatorade and water. Texas Renaissance Festival is big and has a lot to offer, but somehow Scarborough remains my favorite.
We loved Scarborough so much!! It had such an intimate vibe compared to Texas Ren Faire. They’re both absolutely amazing in their own ways!! Hope to go back one more time this season!
We have only been to the two in Texas and LOVE IT!!! We can’t wait to check out other locations, but we know that Texas always does it BIG!! 😄 Thanks so much for watching!!
I miss going to Scarborough Renaissance Fair. Hope y'all enjoyed it as much as i did. The Live Chess & Birds of Prey was always my favorite. Y'all should check it out during halloween when it is turned into Screams Halloween Theme Park
We caught a few minutes of the Birds of Prey show and it was so neat! All of their shows are just amazing. We will definitely look into that for Halloween, thank you for the tip!!! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for watching and we are glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully the weather cooperates so you can go this season, it’s such a nice getaway from the daily life. We use the Osmo Pocket 3 and the Sony ZVE 10. 😁
This rain has been crazy lately!! I know they do still open when it’s raining as long as it’s not a downpour. We hope to go again one more time this season also. Hopefully next weekend will be clear so you can go ☀️
Thank you for watching! That is something we are all working on getting better at each time to bring our community the most accurate and informative descriptions. 😁
My faire has a museum attraction as well but instead of creatures, it has torture devices from the Middle Ages. Examples include things like the Rat Well, the Iron Maiden, the Rack and something called the Heretic's Chair (which was a chair completely covered in upward facing nails)
Which Ren Faire do you go to? We also went to the Toture museum at the Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission which we also filmed our experience there but we didn’t show inside the museum there for the respect of some of our viewers. 😅
@@travelbattles I attend the PA Ren Faire up in Lancaster whenever possible. See...my family and I live four hours or so apart from there, which is a LONG ride outside of the country. So, we only attend one weekend per year (save for the time the Faire was closed due to COVID)
A goal of ours is to visit as many ren faire’s in the country as possible so we may need to check that one out! It’s a great escape. We’ve only been one weekend to each festival so far. Wish we could go more!
Miguel from Don Juan and Miguel sadly passed away in March, he was always front and center at the end song could be why some folks were crying.

@@travelbattlesgo on Sunday. Less people and traffic.
The final song is an old Irish folk song called The Parting Glass.
Thank you for that info!!
Great video!! Thank you for sharing!! It looks like a ton of fun!!

Did you seriously just _troll_ Shrek? 🤓
We were making a joke in reference to our other video from the Texas Renaissance Festival where we dressed up as Shrek and the gang.
