My total disappointment is how ridiculously high taxes that is imposed on purchases, including hotels..How can the people who are making so little afford to pay those exorbitant fees? These are people who are struggling to survive on what little they can on, and there you have heartless, selfish politicians, and takers that are only interested in what they can steal when they’re in the government to live in luxury, when the poor people are suffering... I’m ashamed to say that i came from Guyana because of how the people are being neglected, and suffering when the politicians are living in mansions because of their crookedness, including present officials...
Another $50k to clear the duties for a 4 door? Madness! The government needs to change that ASAP! Come on Irfaan- do something good for the people in 2021 and get rid of those oppressive import duties and taxes. Ms Singh’s dhal and fried fish looked spot on. Hi, you can try to put on a canopy on the back and put in a foam mattress and put the kids in there on long trips, it becomes more comfortable for them, that way. Toyota make of vehicles generally are better and more popular with us in South Africa as it's more reliable and cheaper in spares and to also repair, though brand new its also extremely costly for the common man

It's like purchasing $800 car in China or Japan plus FOB ($2300) which comes in total 3100 then arrives in your country then more money for a total of $6300. So much money you have to pay for a second hand or used to arrive in country. Anyways nice pick-up truck you got to go outdoor with your team or Family. Blessed
They have fix duty for some cars regardless the price. Example I brought a car from Japan cost me $1,800 USD plus shipping $1,200 total $3,000 USD. The fix duty is $5,000 USD and if the car is 4 years or newer it attracts another 14% value added tax. So $8,000 usd which is cost shipping and duty plus 14% of that which is another $1,100. Grand total is $6,100 in duty and tax. Which is double the cost of the car. SAD. I paid $5,000 total on my car because it’s a 2014 model. And it has to be 1,500 cc or less
good choice on the vehicle the only problem is to do an oil change if it is a 2018 and later if you do a DIY it wil be challenging but other han that you have a solid truck if ever you have the time watch Scotty kilmer youtube channe he is a serious mechanic

The duty is the problem. 4 doors pickup based on the engine size it has a fix duty and if the truck is 4 years or newer it attracts 14% value added tax Which can totally run you $50K USD in duty and taxes

It’s an American made vehicle. We usually import Japanese vehicles which is right hand drive.
