- This is not your typical fashion show. This show really captured people’s attention. This show was more glamorous than most, only being marionettes showing off a variety of outfits. This took place at The Cypress Club in London, 1960.

These are stunning! I have started a collection of vintage puppets. Most of mine are smaller. It is wonderful to see these art pieces!
Oh, so this is where Moschino copied the idea for the recent fashion show
That, and from the Theatre de la mode -- a 1945 initiative by the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture to revive Parisian skills in the art of fashion,. A wardrobe of miniatures was displayed on 27" tall dolls (really wire mannequins with porcelain heads and extremities), which was then sent on a tour of Europe and the Americas.
