Feel bad for ollie. He’s a kid and is given no choice but to kill everything blocking his path to find his sister.
He had a choice with the Skogsra and chose to kill her. That's why he cries and has regret over killing her.

@norabeth1951 not after she was downed and held her hands out defensively, he let his rage get the better of him. And the way he stabs down into her head parallels the way King Nils stabs the witch in the face in the story book you find in the library. Showing that his need for revenge took over his emotions.
She deserved it if you miss qte she instantly kills you at the ends of it the one you stab her with his sword
4 stabs is the limit, apparently.

Something about this game just scares the tits off of me. I'm a 38 year old man and this game is creepier than almost any game I have ever seen for some reason.
@IntheBay85 This game has some real scary sections, like after this, there is a village experiencing a plague spread by a witch that's bringing the dead back to life
Getting the no deaths trophy is ridiculous, especially against Skogsra
@adamspencer246 The funny thing about that trophy is that you'll mostly die because you can't see your environment. The game is just too dark, in my opinion. Also, trying to get that no deaf trophy on the first encounter is foolish.

finally got the chance to play this game, and this is definitely my favorite boss outta all of them. you have to constantly move, but you can rely on cover. then she takes away your cover, and you have to be quicker.

If I remember correctly, Skogsrået don't like women, just men. If you're a man and you treat her and her domain with respect, she may help.... if you don't show respect, you're screwed... forever lost in the wilds. And by God, don't mention the hole in her back or her tail.

She seemed to specifically feed on energy from the hearts of men. She just didn't swing that way for girls.
The lore for this game is slightly different from the original fairytales (they changed it up for game mechanics, and to better tie it into the larger story), so I don't know if my info is accurate to the game, but as far as Norwegian and Swedish folklore goes, female skogsrå/huldra (male ones also exist in the fairytales) typically have no interest in women, and just leave them alone. In some stories, they will kidnap women to dress them up in the subterranean folk's wedding attire, and then try and force them to marry the skogsrå's/huldra's male relatives, usually ending with the woman being rescued by her boyfriend and taken straight to church to be married to him because she's already dressed up.

Commented a month ago...Still can't finish it. What the hell are people that think this is oh so easy using? A mouse or something? The controls are UNBEARABLE on Xbox. Always zooming in so I can't see anything else. Slow movement. And there's the spikes again. Oh a tree is in the way, let me move real quick (slow), spikes again. I am so mad the whole game ended for me at this stupid level. Like a dead end street. All momentum erased. Everything was fine before here. Had recommended. Why does it have to zoom in ffs? I will tell people to avoid this game for now on. Read the book or watch a horror movie instead.
Tried one more time. Something seemed easy about it all of a sudden as I lit up a couple witches up in the trees. Maybe the rant cleared my mind. Then bang dead again. The stupid red crap this time as I was running. Never died just running (slowly jogging) before. Livid. Deleting. I FvCKING HATE this game.
