Missing 3 of the starting offensive lineman in this game, plus two starting receivers. Did you expect us to just run up and down the field? Also Harrberg is playing hurt and that's very obvious. That being said, yes we need allot more consistency on offense. Only 3 or 4 first downs in the entire second half. We had as many turnovers as first downs. The potential is exciting though. Those young wideouts have big play ability. Emmit Johnson is going to be a very good Running Back. He is really quick and explosive. Would like to see him put on 15-20 pounds of solid muscle by next season. Listed at a 190 pounds? I don't think so? Maybe 175 at most. Really has spindly looking arms. Right now he reminds me allot of former Husker Star I-Back Derek Brown from the early 90's. If he can bulk up and not lose any speed or quickness Emmit's going to have a great career.
I agree with all that in the future looks bright if we can get a solid offensive line put together along with a solid quarterback. I’m saying right now with this almost ridiculous ability to turn the ball over at any moment sure makes it hard to feel comfortable.
@@butteryfistful2616 It was not illegal at the time. Not in any way shape or form. The announcers were shocked it was called. It is illegal now though.
The defense is so good again, it's the highlight I look forward to watching every week. So electric! Those blackshirts are flying around ❤ GBR! the Purdue D is good too, that Jenkins dude is a monster
Good job Huskers we looking good out there I have been a Nebraska die hard fan since I was a kid and this game makes me think great things are coming for us Huskers fans!!!!!!!
@@musyarofah1I would take a miracle for MSU to beat us. Maybe a Jeff Sims like Christmas miracle but a miracle nonetheless. And there you have it. Bad officiating, bad offensive calls, bad everything.
Matt Rhule needs to take a lesson from Nick Saban and Chip Kelly and just stay in college. This is clearly what he's built for. I'm not even a Huskers fan but I'm happy for what you guys are building.
So happy to see Nebraska above 500 going into November and actually have a chance for bowl game and maybe big 10 championship in first year. Matt rhule era just beginning.
The kickoff was just a bad omen for how the game was going to be called. In the stadium they showed really good videos of the review and the ball absolutely was not recovered by Purdue yet they gave them the ball to start on that first play. Worst officiating crew of the year by FARRR.
It's almost comical that they put in Sims because Haarberg was dropping it and he immediately fumbled it. I feel really bad for him, all eyes were on him and he was given his second chance and he blew it
Are these the two teams with the most boring names/mascots?? One is a guy who pulls the husks from corn. The other is a guy that shovels coal into a stove.
I like how he immediately reinforced the narrative surrounding him, he comes out as relief for haarberg and immediately drops it for a scoop and score. At least dude probably made some nil money cause he ain't going anywhere after this
Purdue HC "we have evidence that Michigan scouted our games. You mean, that pathetic display of offense, 😅 why would anybody in their wrong or right mind scout that garbage 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Probably saving him for bigger games. He only gets 4 if he wants to Redshirt this season. He's easily our #1 wr without injuries though so the longer we have him the better
Go big red man. This feels so good
This defense is so fun to watch but holy cow is that offense a liability.

Agreed. The turnovers are sketchy. Our defense has gave our offense a lot of second and third chances
Well yeah the entire offense is hurt
Still better than if Sims was the quarterback
I loved the high five after the blocked field goal. 😊
Happy team. Haven't seen that in a bit. So good to see
Matt Rhule & his staff coaching 👍 Another great win having half the starters on the team out due to injuries. Black shirts are killing it. Go Big Red
Dog damn!!! Nebraska defense is a monster
This defense is a blast. Finally nice to see the d-line get off blocks and head upfield and swarm. Blackshirts around the world are smiling!
The high five at 4:41 was the greatest husker football highlight to exist
2nd greatest Kenny bell block still wins but it was awesome
Hard to disagree. Shows the chemistry of the D.
@@pogieclash7672 That "block" was an illegal hit and does not represent University of Nebraska football

the Purdue D is good too, that Jenkins dude is a monster
This game sums up Nebraska’s year perfectly. So much good, but so much bad at the same time. Ugly wins for the win.
Ugly win???? Our defense is a monster, you shmuck, you don't know what your seeing.
Ugly wins better than ugly losses. Improvement!
Yeah, but they will be bowl eligible while Colorado sits at home.
Scary how if they didn't turn it over they'd be 6-1 and ranked
Probably the most fun I've had watching a Husker game in long while...the defense is a blast!
Good job Huskers we looking good out there I have been a Nebraska die hard fan since I was a kid and this game makes me think great things are coming for us Huskers fans!!!!!!!
Jenkins was a menace. He’s got talent!
gotta say Matt Rhule is the perfect thing that Nebraska have after long years.
I'm confused. We had the lead in the fourth quarter and... we won? Is that allowed?
How the past 5 seasons have made us feel lol
Well we actually had a couple clutch plays, I know it's mind boggling considering the masterpieces of choke artistry we've put up for display
Well. It was fun while it lasted.
We're one win away from bowl eligibility. Come on Nebraska. You can do this.😊
now watch us lose the rest of schedule and ended up 5-8 😔
@@musyarofah1I would take a miracle for MSU to beat us. Maybe a Jeff Sims like Christmas miracle but a miracle nonetheless.

we need to start pitching it on these option plays
Purdue run defense us very impressive at times. Nice athletes on the D Line.
Great game, Fleeks! We need to get him the ball more!!
With our run game, would love to see a couple receivers with 5 receptions and 80+ yards. More something to look forward to as the offense matures.
Nebraska needs a qb
Matt Rhule needs to take a lesson from Nick Saban and Chip Kelly and just stay in college. This is clearly what he's built for. I'm not even a Huskers fan but I'm happy for what you guys are building.
Thank you. The mediocrity and coaching changes have been tough throughout the years. Especially considering what this team has achieved in the past.
So happy to see Nebraska above 500 going into November and actually have a chance for bowl game and maybe big 10 championship in first year. Matt rhule era just beginning.
This Nebraska defense just flys... Pay the man T. White!
NU is much improved...long way to go but lots of positive things
Jankins looks really really good. He’s gonna make it to the NFL.
Agree
Amazing Football

Also 4 on Purdue is a beast
It's almost comical that they put in Sims because Haarberg was dropping it and he immediately fumbled it. I feel really bad for him, all eyes were on him and he was given his second chance and he blew it
Rhule said he put sims in because haarberg was rocked on the previous downs and was in the tent being evaluated just so you know.

Glad to see Tommi Hill finally playing up to his billing. Gotta be happy for the young man.
This team has got to stop eating popcorn before games.
Urm actually they were saving birds from oil spills
Was that Simms I saw fumbling…. Give it up already.
Yes it was. Yes it was. This team can’t hold onto the ball to save their lives.
I don't think I've ever seen a team be as careless with the ball as Nebraska. As soon as Simms came in I knew he was about to something stupid

Thanks Wheels! Thank you defense, again. GBR
Did I hear him say: "This may be the nail in the Johnson" ?
"This may be the nail, Emmett Johnson..."
"This may be the nail, Emmett Johnson..."
Shame on the Big Ten Conference for whoever wins the Big Ten West
Glad Nebraska won but this is the worst Big West Ian remember. Also how many big hits before Harburg is done for the year?
He's built to take quite a few and not every team plays as dirty as purdue did

Where was malachi coleman today?
He got targeted and got a PI call but our passing isn’t efficient enough for big games

Was he inactive?
Atrocious ball game. Lol, like watching two high school teams but not as good.
Tell that to sheduer Sanders after we sacked him 8 times and held them to 2 ppd
