  • Tom and Felix Doran, great grand nephews of the famous pipers Felix and Johnny Doran perform a song A Pair of Brown Eyes at the Smithfield Fleadh, 25 August 2024 in Dublin.
They joined renowned piper Paddy Keenan and his long time musical collaborator Eamonn de Barra, singer and musician Marty Barry, grandson of acclaimed Traveller singer Margaret Barry and singer and fiddle player Bianca Rohleder, grandniece of the famous Donegal Doherty’s on stage in a celebration of Traveller music.
This year Poster Fish Promotions welcomed artists from The Long Grazing Acre to Smithfield Fleadh following their two week musical journey by horse drawn wagons earlier this summer.
The Long Grazing Acre is a celebration of the enormous contribution Travellers make to traditional Irish music and their route from Boyle, Co. Roscommon through Leitrim and up to the Glenties in Donegal symbolically followed the trails of three well known musical Traveller families the Reillys, the Dorans and the Dohertys.
Tom and Felix Doran and their father Tommy joined the Paddy Keenan on this journey and have since started learning the pipes.
