I always add in 10-30 minutes when I take the bike. Checking tires, gearing up, making sure I get everything and carry it out to the bike. The cameras are the least of my concerns - but only because I have my helmet cam mounted when I walk out, and if I'm taking my handlebar cam, the mount is already there and the camera is on the selfie stick - so, ready to go. It's just a matter of turning them and the remote on, lighting my stogie, starting the bike, and connecting the cameras. NBD :D
Great thoughts, and advice on what to prepare before leaving on the bike. Yeah sometimes I’ll just throw a camera in the saddlebag to use later. I usually don’t record first thing in the morning. Maybe I need coffee to be motivated ☕️ 🤪😂🙂🏍️👍
@@TechNickRides Thanks! My media mod lives on my helmet, to keep the mic wire from bouncing around... so a camera goes in it. But it's literally 10 seconds to install as I pick up the helmet. I used to record in the mornings more, but when I don't have an idea [or time, for that matter], I just... won't. Unless something happens or an idea hits me while I'm riding. Funny enough - if you see me recording on my morning commute, that first sip of coffee on camera IS my first sip of coffee for the day :D
When I had to be to work, I always got up 30 minutes earlier than if I was driving. Gearing up, and wanting to take it easy on the bike always added time to the commute.
Great topic. I generally have to give myself an extra 20 min to get ready, otherwise I never get out when I want to. That never happens when I'm in the car. Glad I am not the only one. The bike is sounding great!
Thank you, Jerry. Yeah, if I plan to ride the bike, I almost have to plan the night before and anticipate that I have to get ready early the next morning too, otherwise if I don't I'll have to take the car.
i always try to give myself time to get places so I can enjoy the ride. average speed in mass on the highway is like 85-90 mph. so good luck if you want to go 65 around here.
If I'm running late, the bike might help me get there quicker, so I'll still take it - but I don't take unnecessary risks. Being too tired is a bigger concern for me to want to cage it.
I like to take my time to get out on the bike, but if someone calls at the last minute, I can get going pretty quickly. All of my gear, riding and camera, is kept very close to the bike.
I've figured there's a larger portion of ADHDers riding motorbikes. I don't know if we took up motorbikes for the thrill or because we're always late and try to make up time 😅
@@hollow34 Both. Definitely both. The "will I make it home safely" aspect always sticks in the back of my head... as I ride along, doing ADD things. :D
Lol my wife is the same way. She’s always like why are you in a hurry. We still get there on time or right up that time of arrival. I always am used to getting somewhere early.

Lol 🐌 dang why is everyone in such a hurry 😂
I hate feeling rushed! I always left for work 30 minutes earlier than I needed to, even in the cage, just so I wouldn’t get rushed….
Yeah traffic can be unpredictable sometimes too for the commute. 🙂👍

Definately, man if I’m not feeling it I’ll take the cage. Bike I always have to be on my A game. 🙂🏍️👍
@@TechNickRides You have an A game? Dang... best I can do is a C- :D
👍Well Said Nick.
Thank you sir 🙂🏍️👍
I dont like to be rushed either. Yeah, you got to add more time when you take the bike
Yeah definately 🏍️👍
Leave two hours early, so you can get a good ride in before you get there. Besides, you probably need to get fuel for the ride after work.
Man I wish I could do that. Seems like mornings go by quickly and before you know it’s lunchtime. 🙂👍

Same for me. I can move pretty quick if need be. Although, not many people call me at the last minute. 😂
@ 😂😂 That’s actually good! Too many times I’m called at the last minute!!
I don't want to be rushed either Neck
Same here, thank you Larry 🙂🏍️👍
HAHA, I loved the intro. I'm always late. It's a thing. Gonna put in my will that I show up a half hour late to my own funeral :D
Lol thanks, sometimes it feels like that for real when I have to be somewhere at a certain time. 😂🙂🏍️👍

I like that bike!!
Thank you Patrick, I’m really enjoying it 🙂🏍️👍
@ I am sure!
I like giving myself plenty of time to get places and my wife likes leaving last minute. 🤷♂️
