@N S Hey bud. Good question. I just made sure that comment filters are turned off so that all comments should post. I know it's a PAIN, but could you repost a sentence or two about your original comment? :-)
@N S N S's comment: "I tried Vyvanse (Called Elvanse here in UK) early last year, however I was also taking an AD called Remeron (Mirtazapine). Couldn't work out what was causing the side effects so I discontinued both. I then switched back to Concerta/IR Ritalin however I'm not sold on it, find it is up and down a lot and also makes me feel flat. Got a review with the ADHD consultant next week, thinking about asking to try Elvanse again as my life has changed a lot since the initial try, I'm now back working but am struggling to focus."
@N S Your first experience with Elvanse sounds rough, but I guess there were conflicting factors. I was not sold on Vyvanse AT ALL until after taking it for a few days. Then I understood why others rave about it.
I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏
YES sure of mycologist Predroshrooms. I have the same experience with anxiety, addiction. Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.
I just started vyvanse and it’s only been 2 days but those 2 days have been my most productive days in the last few weeks. Going from feeling trapped and stuck in college with now way of helping myself out, to emailing professors and actually reaching out and being productive. Whether these first 2 days have been placebo or not, it’s been a big catalyst for the change I’ve needed
Keep up the momentum, and don't hesitate to reach out to your support network, including this community, whenever you need advice or encouragement. Remember to communicate with your doctor about your progress and any concerns that might arise. Keep up the great work, and I wish you continued success in your college journey!
2nd day today. I do environmental regulation for the state in a heavy region with industrial oil activity and other industries of waste, water and air. Wow, this work quarter made me feel so crazy and like I couldn’t do anything but I sought out medical help and realized my job caused me to have adult onset ADHD. I’ve gotten about 3 months of permitting, record reviews, and report write ups in these few days truly saved my job and livelihood. So far really enjoy it but what will a year of this look like?
@@flyberd7848 haha i also do environmental reg (municipal instead of state but for a large industrial city) and especially since my job is so self directed I've been really having issues over the past few years. Tomorrow i finally i'm finally going to get a prescription so hopefully I have the same experience that you do!
How did it save your life? I can’t wait till I can start, my titration is any day now. I have Ll my daily routine lists ready to go, I just can’t start tasks anymore 😢
here’s my story: I started taking phentermine for weight loss however the side affect was extreme jitters and high anxiety. At the age of 4 I was diagnosed with OCD and put on SSRI meds. After talking to a psychiatrist she suggested vyvanse as it is much smoother. It didn’t help much with my weight but I was noticing I was able to listen, able to not lash out. After talking to my therapist it was confirmed that I was misdiagnosed as a child. I have ADHD not OCD as it presents itself differently in girls and woman. My entire life has changed for the better with vyvanse. I have good coverage and pay $30 a bottle for all doses. I started with 30 then upped to 40. I feel normal on vyvanse I can think clearly I can listen to people without interrupting I can walk away from arguments, I can actually think before I speak now. It’s been amazing for me
Thanks for this comment! I have ADHD but phentermine was rough on me. It made me super angry and moody. I've wanted to try ADHD medication, and you won't believe what my therapist said. "Well, phentermine is a stimulant so it's the same".
diagnosing little children with psychological diseases and putting them on meds is cruel. Children should be allowed to fully grow up and then it should be upto them get diagnosis
@@ankitg6454 I call that cruel. I’m living proof that my life at age 4 when I was showing symptoms would have been drastically improved if properly diagnosed and treated then and not at 29. Your theory is ridiculous
Weird huh? I take Adderall but I'm looking around since there is a nationwide shortage. I love the change in myself (and my wife is much happier with me).
it's been life-changing for me. started 20mg and worked up, continuing to experience a surreal ability to get more done, to process information, to listen to conversations, to alleviate anxiety to where I've been now taking 60mg for more than a year. works very well. i get up at 4am, but don't take it till about 7am... before my work day begins. thanks for sharing the video!
I am waiting for my script to be filled. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade but nothing was ever done. Now I am 36. I can only imagine what life would be like now if I was medicated as a kid. My adhd is bad. I started failing grades in 3rd grade, ended up dropping out of school because I just absolutely could not get into it and I could not concentrate at all. It was rough.
Darn...so expensive...US ? Canadian here and my son is on it now and it cost me 16$ per month with private med insurrance ..😅 without insurrance it would be around 180$/ month
@@Itsumi_Nyanko Miss Guylaine must be french canadian judging by that name, j'ai raison? Moi avec mes assurances ça me coûte 11$ par mois au lieu de 125$
Diagnosed inattentive ADHD at age 57 in 2021. Until just a few months before I was both sceptical about and completely ignorant of ADHD, in spite of having been a lifelong Stranger in a Strange Land, square peg in a round hole, outsider looking in, etc. Managed a PhD, semi-successful self-employed scientific consultancy career until mid-to-late 40s, but then the wheels really started to fall off. Diagnosis explained pretty much everything, but by itself wasn't enough. I started Vyvanse after a month or two and the experience was similar to that described in the video. Side effects were irritating at first but wore off within a week or two. Started on 20mg (first few days were *great*), titrated up to 50 via 30, but 50mg caused terrible anxiety (especially on the come-down later in the day), etc. I've been on 40mg for about 6 months and it does help, but I'm realising that by itself Vyvanse still isn't enough. Interested to hear that you still find 'difficult' work difficult on Vyvanse: that's definitely the case for me too, and after hearing what you had to say about it I'll mention it to my psychiatrist. TBH there have been times when I've wondered whether the Vyvanse is helping at all, to the point that I've taken time off just to see. Long story short: it definitely does help, but not very much. There's too much to say about the whole experience to do it any justice here. I suspect that the very late diagnosis means there's a legacy of life-long habits, work-arounds, perceptions, self-perceptions, and more (baggage, in other words) that will take much longer than a year to figure out / get around / go through. I have no idea how you've managed to hold down a corporate career. A move away from self employment into a more corporate, 9-to-5 environment ten years ago was disastrous for me in a way that I now recognise as being very ADHD.
This resonates so much. I would love to know more about your experience! I was diagnosed 3 years ago at 29. Just been prescribed vyvanse and not sure how I’m feeling about amphetamines but hoping it’s better than what I have been experiencing my life through.
I switched from instant release Adderall 20mg 3X day to eventually 60 mg Vyvanse 1x day. I have generalized anxiety, depression, Social phobia, and cPTSD along with ADHD. Fun!! Lol. I have noticed on Vyvanse, my anxiety has been MUCH more manageable. There's a lot less agitation, irritability, and intense hyper-focusing as well. Thanks for this video, and for convincing me to make the switch.
omggg i have all of those diagnoses too and recently asked my doc if we could make the switch from adderal to vyvanse. i was not loving the irritability i was getting while on adderall
Both of you should try Psilocybin. I was Microdosing psilocybin for a couple months, it was a great experience for me and because of it- my depression is in remission.
Vyvanse completely changed my life. I have been taking it for over 10 years and I am on 50mg. Ever since I started taking it for my ADHD, it had greatly beneficial medicinal effects on my severe depression that eventually caused me to commit suicide and die 3 times. My depression completely dissolves when it kicks in. I'm happy, have energy and desire to do activities and socialize. I don't have racing thoughts and I can control my them way better now.
For those researching the meds right before or right after starting it, remember every affect, good and bad. Write it down or put it in your notes or whatever works for you to remember. Ride it out for 2 weeks and then see how it feels. Your body and brain needs to get used to the meds so stuff will change. Remember everything and after 2 weeks tell your doctor everything, in detail, with timelines and specific situations. And also be patient, it takes a while to figure out what works. For me, I started at 10mg for 2 weeks to get my body and brain used it and make sure there wasn’t any pressing side affects. After that I was prescribed 60 tabs of 20mg and 30 tabs of 10mg for 1 months and was told to move up 10 every few days or a week and figure out what works for me, but was told to not go over 50mg. I ended up staying at 40mg as it kinda worked and I didn’t want to push it . After that month they had me redo a little quiz they had me do on my first appointment and compared it to the other without showing me the original first. We decided it helped a little bit but not really enough to make a difference in my day to day life. So they bumped my prescription up to 50mg for a month and are re-evaluating after that. I never had a problem with anxiety before the meds and I don’t on them either. However I have always had sleep problems but the meds don’t seem to make them worse. I do remember for a while I would get really irritable as the affects wore off later in the day but that would only last for an hour at most and that eventually went away. This method is really only feasible for Canadians as they are a lot cheaper here, with my insurance I get them for free. Just remember everyone is different, and to be patient as your brain needs to adapt to it
@dunzek943 Me too.. I went through breast cancer a few years ago and was researching like I am now. It broke my heart when I realized people literally just die because they can't afford it. I didn't pay a penny! I did chemo then surgery then radiation, I didn't even need to pay parking at the hospital as there was a Gilda's place across the street. We're so lucky here. It's May 2024 and I'm petrified that Pierre Poilievre will become Prime Minister and ruin all the Social programs and medical perks etc we are so lucky to have here. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
For me, It works very well (50 mg). The only downside is that it makes me more anxious in general, but when that happens, I just repeat to myself over and over that it's the pills talking and making me nervous, not a real perceivable treat.
im on day 6 , is it normal to get little nervous? im 35 years and finaly i got to try something so my head could get some kinda rest. and i had some days bad sleep , but i think that is the bed ,but any way i feel the meds work bether when i had 8 hours sleep , and get more nervous when i had little sleep.
Struggled with ADHD all my life.. Made grade school an academic struggle, and nearly failed me out of college twice! As one teacher put it "You definitely have potential, you just have no focus." Day 1 with it: I felt the ability to focus, but it's not a "magic pill" you still got to make the choice on what to focus on, the brain ritual of distraction are still there but I feel I have the ability to control it. More thirsty at times. No sleep or hunger issues for me. I took a small nap after 4 hours and ate lunch & dinner just fine, but I noticed I didnt overeat, I ate exactly what I needed, perhaps more self-control? I felt generally happy, probably the calming effect it has. I felt the calm effect starting to get weaker at 8 hours, but still there just slowly decreasing. Only caffeine I take in is a small can of Coke or Dr.Pepper with lunch and dinner, no coffee or energy drinks.
I started my ADHD treatment with Vyvanse and this saved my life! The problem is the price, because of it I tried Ritalin once, for 3 months then came back to Vyvanse. I think nothing is better than Vyvance to treat ADHD!
I was started on Adderall to help my adhd. I believe it wore off too quickly and was unbelievably addictive. Vyvanse is much smoother and comes on much more suttle.
I took Vyvanse for 1 month earlier this summer, and I'm now back on it again starting this fall. yay! (My doctor and I were working out the kinks of what medications work best for me, and Vyvanse seems to be the winner.) The first time I took Vyvanse, I immediately noticed an improvement in not only my focus and productivity, but my impulsive tendencies. They were completely halted.. Because I'm so impulsive, and I do have anxiety and depression (which I'm finally treating with other medications) I tend to binge eat, and I have put myself in a very unhealthy weight range over the last several years. (oof) It's like i have no self control around food (typically). The very first day with Vyvanse, I found that I no longer desired food.. or reached for it when stressed... I was able to eat responsibly and make healthy choices.. In fact I had to remind myself to eat something at meal times. my weight dropped 10 lbs the first month. (which i regained while trying other medications and binging again). Now that I'm back on the medicine, my appetite is once again In my CONTROL. which is a miracle. I love it. I love working out, I love being active, but I've not had any energy or focus to do so up to now. Other medications were making me so constipated, and giving me terrible side effects... My side effects from Vyvanse were: jittery the first 3 days. dry mouth, and as you stated.. if you don't take it early enough, your sleep is ruined. so wake up early. (which I do, to take care of my family anyway). Other than that. I find the medicine to be the only one out of the many i've tried since January... that actually helps me. If only it didn't cost so much. (I'm grateful to be able, I'm sad for people who can't afford it yet, Mental health is really worth it though.)
Have you noticed differences in craving food? Since its a form of amphetamine obviously it curbs appetite but I noticed I dont crave sugar and ultra processed foods when taking it. I know people are going to have their opinions on taking amphetamines but I honestly would argue its made me healthier, my lab results definitely show that. Its so much easier to stick to a healthy diet on Vyvanse. I can eat nothing but beef, chicken, eggs and vegetables with no problem and that has caused my blood pressure, triglycerides and bad cholesterol to go down. Many mental health benefits as well, just from not being/feeling so worthless all the time from not being able to pay attention to anything and not being motivated.
Just started taking this again after a 2-year hiatus. I was so happy to find out that they finally offer a generic for Vyvanse now! My medication went from $60 to $15 a month. This stuff has been such a lifesaver for me especially now that I don't have to pay so much for it anymore.
@@WineHouse33 I was for a while until the national shortage. No pharmacy around me has it and the projected price with my new insurance is now it $415 🙃
@@katyyoder1481 yes I've only been able to get my prescription 3 times in the last 5 months. I went back for a check-up in Jan.(and paid a hefty co-pay) to renew my prescription only to discover that there is a national shortage and nobody has it.
I got diagnosed with ADHD 18 years ago as a teenage. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
YES very sure of Dr.benfungi. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
Yes he's Dr.benfungi.Shrooms to me is a natrual healer. I know a guy who has used mushrooms in the same way and they have really helped him. mah dudes have safe trips all.
I would like to know from those who have solved PTSD and anxiety, if they have solved it definitively and how to understand what quantity of psilocybin to take and when, for how long. And can you really heal without having an addiction? Thanks to everyone for helping me understand, I want to understand if it's something that can help me solve the problem (I have c-ptsd)
From my experience it really works excellently! It doesnt even need to be a full hit. With potent shrooms 2-3 small ones will still make a clear difference. It will be a few hour cosy rumbling moment around rest time, but afterwards its just calm and you feel amazing and gain your freedom. Psilocybin is different dudes, its the only "treatment" I would recommend to someone who genuinely wants to get better. There is no addiction, withdrawal, or negative side effects. It's just pure healing., far more effective than any anti-depressant. You can thank me later,
I use a mail in service and I pay $90 for a 90 day supply. Vyvanse has absolutely changed my life. I’ve tried other stimulants, but I’ve had the best results with Vyvanse. I was diagnosed with ADHD in my late 20s, and when I started treatment it was like my mind had been an orchestra warming up with all different instruments playing in different keys, and then everyone syncing up and playing harmoniously.
@@HIDDENADHD I am in the US. My insurance uses OptumRx, a mail in service. I think my psychiatrist just had to send in some sort of letter of explanation and I was able to get the 90 day.
@@johnmoore1495 Hey, John. I am in the state of Georgia, USA. I use OptumRX through my work insurance, which provides a mail in service for 90 day supply of medication at a lower cost. I meet with my psychiatrist at least once every three months, and she sends in the prescription directly from her practice. There is a letter that has to be sent to OptumRX once every six months from my psychiatrist in order for them to be able to prescribe a 90 day supply of Vyvanse. It's not always a smooth process and often times I have to intervene with OptumRX to make sure there's no hitches in it getting shipped to me. I sincerely hope this helps you. I know how painfully frustrating it is to get the help needed. Please let me know if there's any other questions I can answer for you.
@@MissHilPaige thanks for responding. From my research it seems like you can get 90 day scripts in the mail but not at a local pharmacy (or at least it’s much easier to do by mail.) Which to me doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is I guess. I’m on Medicaid and I don’t think they even allow 90 day scripts for scheduled meds in my state because they don’t want people potentially abusing them with government funded health insurance (at least that’s my guess.) Can I ask what dose of Vyvanse you take?
I’m on 50MG of Vyvanse, and my psychiatrist submitted a medical necessity form, and it was approved by my insurance, which is valid for a year, so now it’s covered until 2023!
Thank you young fella 👍 I just started today after being on dexamphetamine, ten years, but really wanted to try this, you've helped I'm on 50, if I'd had this in youth, I might have achieved the dream's in my head 👵🇭🇲 thanks again and hope this works!
I'm starting on 40mg on Tuesday. I got diagnosed yday at 31 after a lot of years of beating myself up about the mess I had made of things. I'm optimistic for the first time in a long time. Very bittersweet
Congrats Andy! I got Dx'ed at 34, and I know lots of people who did in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. The *only* thing you can affect is what you do today. Get a morning routine in place with some affirmations, visualization, or journaling to remind yourself of who are becoming.
@@HIDDENADHD I forgot I replied to this and I rarely check notifications 😅 sorry! Well one week in, more or less. Been to the gym 4 times (hadn't been properly in two years) and been hard at it in work I can see where I'm going. It's amazing.
I was on IR adderall and it made my heart race like crazy. I was scared to try another medication. I’m glad I decided to take a chance on Vyvanse and it has been a great addition for me! I’m on month 2 and no side effects and I am focused and alert! It’s funny because I’m a 30 year old man and 10mg works wonders for me! 😅
@@florianraach5314 After a while of using dextroamphetamine you will build up a tolerance to it and may need a higher dose or stop for a while to reset.
Ya adderall is literally meth. It’s INSANE. Nobody needs that. Vyvanse is WAAY better!! Works the same without the harsh side affects. Vyvanse is an amazing medication. I feel incredible and almost zero side affects. The worst side affect is definitely the poor appetite but it’s getting better
My 20 year old daughter just started drinking 10mg this weekend and she feels a difference. minimal side effects, helps with focus for about 4-6 hrs. Med says it should last 12-14 hrs.
i'm on 70mg, this was the dose where i found i was able to start describing the positive effects i was feeling, i did jump up to that dosage fairly quickly though, going from 20- 30mg in a week, then 30 to 40 after 2, and asking me how it was working, they would bump me up 10 after every month, till i got to 70 by about mid summer. at 70, the feeling of "i can tell there's a positive effect, but i can't narrow it down" started turning into "my god, i've never been so on task, and on top of things"(words i'd regret later once work burnout kicked me out of that loop, not entirely related to adhd either) , and while part of me is worried about being on such a high dose, i know i was also on the higher end dosage when i was younger for Adderall. The biggest downside for me, is missing a day without a doubt. it feels like your a toy that just had your double A batteries pulled out, and your running on residual charge just trying not to collapse as you go through the rest of your day
In the UK, you get titrated for a while, which means adjustment of your dose to an optimal level. Once titration is over, the NHS (National Health Service) creates a Shared Care Agreement with your psychiatrist, and then the NHS pays for the medicine and you just need to pay the prescription fee!
After watching your videos, I asked my psych if I could switch to Vyvanse after trying Adderall IR 10mg all the way up to 30mg (I was also struggling with binge eating as well). The crashes in the evenings on Adderall were way too bad. I would get extremely angry and irritable from the smallest things. Vyvanse has definitely been my favorite so far. I've not noticed any side effects. Thank you so much for the work that you do.
This is so encouraging, I’m about to make the switch from addy ir to vyvanse myself due to annoying side effects from the Adderall causing me to take it less and take less than I really need
Just wanted to say i really appreciate this video, it was very informative. I just got diagnosed with ADHD today (attention deficit type) after 3.5 grueling years of college. I kept telling myself things like “everyone struggles this much” or “I’m just making this up” or “If I talk to people about this, they’ll just think I’m doing it for attention.” However, last semester I had a wake up moment when I had a conversation with someone who recently was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed vyvanse and it changed their life. Talking about how they felt before they were diagnosed was the only time I’ve ever truly related to someone’s mental image. The parallels were uncanny. So I finally reached out, got tested, my concerns were validated and I was prescribed vyvanse. I’m picking it up tomorrow and hopefully it can make an impact in my life which I desperately need to get in order before I go to grad school.
I’ve been told I was lying my entire life I was finally just described Vyvanse and Lyrica. I’m praying to God this works I just want to be a functioning adult
Man those prices are insane. Over here in Sweden when i reach around 210 dollars in total for prescribed medication it's "free" for a year then you repeat that for the next year etc. Also wanted to add that Elvanse is my favorite ADD medication for sure!
Just started 20 mg today! My doc was concerned since I'm also on wellbutrin but so far so good. After having tried so many other adhd meds I'm really hoping this is the one. I've already noticed that I don't get cold hands and cold feet like I have with concerta/ritalin/adderall. Thanks for your insight!
Vyvanse (elvanse here in the uk) was a godsend for me and has helped me get my lifeback. I can hold down a well paid job finally. For me methylphenidate xr (concerta or focalin) felt dirty, horrible comedowns and too much of hyper focus and just Felt like I was on cocaine
The concerta side effects are the absolute worst thing. Gave me terrible acid reflux to the point my esophagus is scaring. I had to force myself to stop. It works one day, the next day it don’t. Taking higher doses just means more side effects. The concerta pills themselves seem very nasty on you’re digestive system. I always feel like I’m super paranoid or anxious in public for no reason. It really does feel like coke.. I just wanna be on my own schedule on concerta. I don’t want to even go to work and be around people. I’m just focused and quiet. It’s definitely helped when I’m on my own watch. I started a business and managed a lot of thing I put off for years and i can say it really helped get me going. Smoking some weed at night actually gives the concerta a boost for a few hours and I get into a state of focus and creativity. I get so much done! Weed itself tends to work well with it but only at night! I’m an introvert person but i hate that on concerta I just become way too anxious around people.. maybe it’s because they aren’t in a super laser focused & ready to go mood like me 😂
I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, never went on treatment and did alternative therapies. As an adult I always used different t self-soothing for my perceived failure to achieve due to lack of focus. Then three years ago I started using drugs, which kinda helped me to be productive, not feel anxiety and generally feel better until it came crashing down. I spoke to my doctor, went on Vyvanse and never looked back at drugs again, life has changed 180, the relationship with my dad has improved and I don’t feel like I’m always lacking energy or focus. I 100% recommend getting this medication. It gave my control back.

Thanks for sharing. I have been on 30mg Vyvanse for 2weeks now. It's been amazing, thoughts are clearer, work flow has improved. I am going to try 40mg next week as I feel my body is adjusting to the lower dose. Good luck everyone, I hope you find the right dose and meds that work best for your body.
This is precisely what's worrying me, I started on 17mg, now 30, and after 1 month and ½ more then often it feels like somedays it doesn't work at all. What's next? You keep going up untill the safe reccomended dosage?
I’m going to write this in Spanish I hope you can translate.
thank you for this! i’m scared to try another ADHD medication because concerta made me super sick 😬 this definitely made me feel a lot better before i start taking it!
I got my diagnosis at the beginning of this year. I've tried adderall, vyvanse and ritalin. Vyvanse by far is my favorite. I am currently at 70mg and it makes focusing and impulse control much easier. I have noticed that whatever I am focusing on, I can focus on it. That applies to everything from doom scrolling, gaming or more productive tasks like cleaning and work.

Vyvanse was very inconsistent. One day I would feel it working for 6 hours and other days I wouldn’t feel it working at all. Adderall IR works so much better for me.
It's interesting to hear about your experience with Vyvanse being inconsistent. Medications can affect people differently, and it's great to hear that Adderall IR works better for you. It's important to find the right medication and dosage that suit your individual needs, so always consult with your healthcare professional to find the best solution for managing your ADHD symptoms.
It’s changed my life. I need the all day nature of it. I sleep well. And have very minimal anxiety if I’m up late, but that’s not as often these days. Great clips!
I'm glad to hear that it has made a positive impact on your life! Finding a medication that works well for you and provides the all-day coverage you need is important. It's also great to hear that you're experiencing better sleep and minimal anxiety. Thank you for your kind words about the clips, and I hope they continue to be helpful for you!
Yes. Totally worth it.... if I don’t take it all 70mgs at once. I take 1/3 capsule every two hours. When I wake up, take 1/3. 2 hours later take 1/3. 2 hours later take 1/3. If I take 70 msg at once, I get anxious. Splitting it obliterates anxiousness. I also take 3 drops of CBD in the morning and 7 drops before bed. CBD helps with anxiety and depression issues. Exercises also a must. I also get up at 5:30am so by bed time I have no problems falling asleep.
Very interested in this combo ♡ I keep looking for possible adverse reactions between the two, but I have seen nothing. I think that may help me get things done and also help with any possible anxiety from the meds, because I am already anxious! I really hope it helps with my irritability from anxiety, too ♡ thanks for sharing!
ADD meds are a Godsend. Have been on Adderall for a year and now there is a national shortage therefore I am now jumping to Vyvanse tomorrow. Your video was enormously helpful in explain what to expect. Thank yo sooooooooo much.
I was diagnosed with adhd in 3rd grade. I was left untreated and my school life was a disaster! I did take adderall at one point and it was amazing for me!I'm really struggling right now at 43 yrs old. I told my dr about my past and want adderall again. He prescribed 30mg Vyvance. First day taking it. One hour ago. Not feeling anything yet. I love the punch that adderall gave me! Focus, mood elevated, energy. Happy, I felt super smart, lol.
I’ve started using Elvanse about 3 weeks ago. With a body weight of 105 kilograms and 2 meters in length I’m currently on 60mg. I’m overal happy with it and it’s a step up from using my dexamphetamine and your description is spot on. Except in my case I feel its starting to lose its effect after 7 hours. So although I really enjoyed your approach by taking it early in the morning I had to take it a couple hours later so that it would wear off after my workday instead of three o’clock. This luckily didn’t effect my sleep as it had in the first two weeks when I started using Elvanse. My psychiatrist didn’t had any experience with with Elvanse so I had to do most of the research myself you sharing your experience helped me allot in that way. Thank you!
Wow, the cost shocked me. I picked up my first prescription today and my insurance card was expired, but its free for all those prescribed under 25 years of age in Ontario (Canada). even before that coverage it was $178
Very informative video ❤ I just switched from Concerta to Elvanse and is on my 4th day, its a huge difference! Concerta made me feel weird, like i was in some bubble and it made me too calm and my mind got too quiet.. with Elvanse I feel more me, and boring tasks doesn't feel overwhelming as before.
@Squadbusterskingz Yes it does but not not in any weird way. Instead of having 5-10 thoughts going around I can just focus on one thought at a time. It's a big relief. So I recommend to give it a try :)❤
Thank you. I'm on my first day of Vyvanse and I'm having tachycardia. So I'm going to wait a few days. I was about to lose my faith because that also happened to me with Adderall XR.
This video is wonderful thank you. You got straight to the point of the things people actually want to know when considering meds without all the obvious chatter that makes the videos so long. Thank you for sharing this. How it made you feel. Cost. How it helped and how it didnt. I appreciate it!
That’s so crazy it’s costs US$300+ for one month of Vyvanse!! That’s literally $410 in Australian dollars. I just bought my first box of 30 capsules and it was around AU$41 without a concession card so just under US$30!! And with a concession IT’S ONLY AU$6.60!!!!! I’m flabbergasted and so sorry to the ADHD folk who have to break their bank just to get one month of treatment 🥺😢💖
Thank you for sharing! After a tough time with both ritalin and concerta my psychologist prescribed me vyvanse instead, and I'm starting it tomorrow morning. At least now I have a rough idea of what the experience will be like.
I have ADHD but I also have BED. Dr told me about Vyvanse she suggested that it'll help with both afflictions. Started taking it today and already I feel a major change. I had the best day at work today. Super productive doing things I'm not even meant to do. I feel really good. The price wasn't super bad for me. With my insurance a 30 day supply only costs me around $60. She started me on 30mg daily. But she said I will most likely need to have an increased dose at some point bc I'm a bigger guy. Even still, the copay will remain the same. If this med keeps on working like it has then I'm happy to pay the $60 a month
I've been on elvanse for over a month and it has honestly changed my life. Started on 20mg, had mostly side effects the first five days and no effect really. Went up to 40mg after two weeks and felt great, no major side effects except from some mouth dryness. I'm able to do chores like cleaning, dishes and laundry without feeling like i'm gonna get burnt out after one day. I don't even have to think about doing it, it just kinda happens automatically. For me it doesn't seem to last the full 12-14h though, so i just recently started taking a "boost" dose (20mg) around noon which seems to work really well so far. I got diagnosed with adhd and bipolar at age 20 (i'll be 25 this summer) and got to try different methylphenidate medications but didn't feel good on them and had a lot of side effects. My doctor at that time didn't take my bipolar disorder into consideration and upped my dose too fast which triggered mania and psychosis for me, and after that it wasn't really an option to try stimulants again. They decided to let me give it another try now since i wanna try studying again (I quit school at 17 and never graduated) and so far it has not interfered with my bipolar disorder. While the mood stabilizer i'm on has reduced my depressive and manic episodes, i feel like elvanse was like the last needed piece to the puzzle if that makes sense? For the first time in my life i feel like i'm on the right path with medication, this is the effect i've always looked for but never got in other medications.
Your “very good insurance” in the US still hurts my heart. Without extended coverage here in Canada it would’ve been $179, after my uni’s coverage I paid $11.99
Here in Portugal it’s €40 which around USD50 per month. You have to be rich if you are going to live in the USA. I got diagnosed with ADHD a month or so ago. Yet to start meds but Vvyvance is the one they want me to take. I’m a bit scared so thank you for your video.
i take 40mg, it seems to wear off really quickly for me and i feel sad and irritable when it does. but i also dont take it right when i wake up which i will try doing. also will try maybe stepping down to 30 mg. i wish you could get a sample pack that has all the different doses so you could see which works best for you.
thank you for sharing !!! today is my first day on vyvanse and just a few days ago i was diagnosed with Adhd !! this was so helpful to watch !! im way relaxed now and i kinda got some tips fromu so thanks again 🙏
If you have true ADD, this drug is miraculous. You become a fully functioning member of society. Ask me how I know. I don't know the effects if you take Vyvanse without ADD but it's probably not good.
I've been on it for around 3 years. I have more good effects than bad. Sometimes my tongue gets sore from rubbing it on the roof of my mouth all day. Other than that I love it. I've had ADHD since I was a kid but I didn't get an official diagnosis until I was in my 40's. Vyvanse is the only drug I've tried for my ADHD. I have addiction issues so my doctor didn't have a good feeling about prescribing me Adderall or Ritalin.
I currently take 50mg Vyvanse daily for my ADHD (well, Elvanse here in the U.K.) and I can safely say you’ve hit the nail on the head with all of the pros and cons. In particular, the ‘difficult tasks’ I can certainly relate to. When I study at university and there are gruelling, difficult mathematical concepts that I need to understand and I begin to find difficult, even with Vyvanse I have a very hard time focusing. Did you manage to find any methods to tackle this / help yourself retain and remember new information you learned? Thanks!
Further to this, I’m thinking of lowering my dosage as 50mg feels very intense! I was content with 30mg and the effects, but I found it wore off prematurely, so I think 40mg is the sweet spot (again, this is purely anecdotal!)
Hey Michele! In terms of meds, a rescue dose of Ritalin. In terms of non-medication, I'd try different learning strategies. In my free book summary on Ultralearning, there are some ideas that might help. mailchi.mp/hiddenadd.com/ultralearning
Yeah dude 50mg is really strong.. I don't take any medication (yet) but I imagine you might've built up a tolerance which could be why you feel it's insufficient/inadequate study-wise.
As an ADHD working mom who recently switched to Vyvanse, I LOVE IT. I am way more productive in my corporate workplace where I have to constantly be on the go for 8-10 hours a shift. The first day, I cleaned my whole car. Even the windows. You know you’re really productive when you’re cleaning the windows lol. One of my favorite outcomes that I’ve noticed for me, is an increased amount of optimism, in a lot of situations where I would normally be anxious. I do combine it with my Buspirone. However the combination of the Buspirone & my prior medication, didn’t really do much. I was still very anxious. So I think this combo, is amazing. I’m so happy. It is expensive which is the only downside. I have good insurance & it’s $50 a month. Which, is less expensive than I’ve heard from others so I recognize my privilege there. I heard there may be off brands coming out soon. 🤞🏻 My job also pays full tuition so I am going back to school soon & grateful to have this.
That's wonderful to hear that Vyvanse has been beneficial for you in managing your ADHD symptoms and increasing your productivity. It's great that you've noticed improvements in optimism and anxiety as well. It's also fortunate that you have insurance coverage and access to affordable medication. Congratulations on your decision to go back to school, and best of luck with your academic pursuits and continued success in your corporate workplace!
I am on 40mg vyvanse and it is also my favorite. I’m 30 and was just prescribed last November. I wake up and go back to sleep as well then wake up and have a cup of coffee. It lasts me all day and I don’t have the come down I usually do when I used adderall. You’re right I don’t want to do the math type tasks like I do on adderall but the feeling and want to focus is still there for anything else. I appreciate your post!
It's changed my life I'm on 50mg but I have to say I think it's brutal that u have to pay I live in Scotland we have the NHS and everything is free I really think amarica should create an NHS. Thanks for the amazing adhd vids u do I feel like I'm part of a community now

I’m a few days into and I feel much better on vyvanse than Ritalin. Ritalin made me lose my appetite, which then led to irritability and defeated the purpose of the meds. Still trying to see what time is best to take vyvanse tho. I get a crash around 4, and I take a nap or just rest for a bit, then I’m able to pull through the rest of the evening. But I’m still having a hard time getting to sleep. But not sure if it’s my bad habit of doom scrolling. So working on that one. The moment I think of breathing meditation and do it, I go out quick tho. But hard to remember to do it when hyper focusing on something else. Other than that, I’m actually getting a lot of things done and actually was able to read a book and retain what I read! I’m also able to stay present with my young children and handle their temper tantrums really well and that is huge bonus!
I been taking 60mg Vyvanse for a few months I find it difficult to get motivated & stay focused. I’ve been topping it up with 5mg dexamfetamine this is short acting it wears off in about 3 hours which means I really need to top up 3 times a day minimum. I haven’t discussed my current pill popping schedule with my psychiatrist he prescribed the Vyvanse I had the dex that was prescribed by another doctor. I’m going to give him the option to keep me going with my current schedule or put me back on LA slow release dexamfetamine 30mg compounded at a chemist here in Sydney was the best results for me I was so focused, I had a eye for detail & when I started something I finished it & did a exceptional job!
have you tried a lower dose of the Vyvanse? I was told by my psych that higher doses don't always equal better performance. It's almost like prescription glasses where you have to find the dose that's just right for you. 20mg gave me a headache, 30mg made no difference, I jumped to 70mg and was drowsy and tired. 50mg had me working like a Duracell battery :-)
@@MissNancyLondon I started on 25mg or 30mg I wanted to go to sleep. I’ve been taking medication for 20 years I was doing just fine on 30mg LA slow release compounded dexamfetamine it’s like Vyvanse is a totally different drug. Fingers crossed I’ll be back on the old medication soon! The only benefit is Vyvanse costs me like $6.00 a month & the compounded dex will be $30 a month. Thanks for sharing your story. ❤️
@@The_Crusty_Old_Hag_Next_Door I have had a similar experience with Vyvanse, 25 and 30mg helped me rest, but did nothing for helping me to focus. At 70mg, it's been only slightly better and I can safely say that my boss hasn't noticed a difference in my performance at work which was a big reason for paying almost $300 a month to take it.
Just got diagnosed at 41 years old. Currently on concerta 36mg. For me it helps a lot with emotional regulation and social interactions too, not just focus which is also improved. the effect lasts only about 7hrs currently. Hoping for the psychiatrist to adjust the dose so I would get around 12-14h effect. These pills have been a lifesaver for me! I feel like after all these years I can relax. I still notice my symptoms but they are much more manageable when I'm on these meds.
I love Vyvanse! Actually, in Europe is Elvanse. One useful trick: if you want to flush Vyvanse quick for any reason, just take some Vitamin C. At least, it works for me.
For Me (60mg Vyvanse) it works great agents anxiety and makes it easier to talk with new people, it’s a little like alcohol but you Don’t get the dizziness and you can think clearly :)
I started Vyvanse 20mg about a week ago. It's my first medication for ADHD. I have sleeping problems and I just can't get the right timing of taking it. I keep worrying about my increased heart rate and blood pressure hoping it goes away soon, or lessen at least. Thanks for all these info! Subscribed
I am was on 30mg and upped to 50mg this week. It disturbs your sleep as I am having the same problems. Hopefully, the body will adjust. But, I don't have any other side effects no increase in heart rate or anything. I go on the treadmill a few hours after taking it and notice zero difference. Here's hoping you settle down. Try not to think about it too much that can make it all worse. 🤘🤘
ok so today was my first day with vyvanse, i took it before school around 7:15 and it kicked in around 8:10 or so at school and it felt like a switch was flipped where i could focus and get work done and i got excited about that and i was happy and it all in all felt like my whole life i was living with some sort of filter on my brain and today it was lifted off so all in all it was a good day.
I'm a therapist so I listen to others for hours a day. Has anyone noticed any help with being able to focus more in conversation and being able to actively listen to others?
Norwegian here. I'm on 30mg. In Norway you only pay a small sum for the meds that are crucial for you. After you reach a total payment of $280, then you get it for free the rest of the calendar year.
I really would have liked to see about mixing with alcohol or marijuana. I am starting today, and I am not going to drink or smoke because I want to see how the drug acts by itself. But if anyone could answer, I would like to know if that throws off the medication or not. I’m not trying to get messed up I just like to drink and smoke. Also did your appetite change? Your head ever feel fried at the end of the day? It almost seems like this is a paid commercial from Vyvanse..
@ Hidden ADHD thanks for making this video. I start taking Vyvanse tomorrow. Sharing your opinion of Vyvanse helped me to feel confident and comfortable enough to try Vyvanse.
Just started at 30mg today after going up to 40mg on Ritalin LA and it not doing anything. I feel calm and kind of heavy. Still switching tasks and thoughts frequently so not sure if it really works. I also had concern that adhd and antidepressants counteract eachother in my body. Not sure though.
Firstly, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your content. Some days it's quite good, but my Vyvanse never lasts long like everyone else. I take 40mg as soon as I wake up. Some days I feel it is working, other times, I feel it starts to work and notice effects for MAX 3-4 hours. However, there are days when it makes absolutely no difference. I am considering going back to my doctor to discuss other stimulants such as methylphenidate (Ritalin). Do you guys have any similar experiences? or tips
You have no idea. I take Desoxyn (methamphetamine 5mg) 2 tablets twice daily and that's 120 tablets a month and without insurance it would be $1300 basically
@@traphousegamer1906 Holy Smokes!! My psychiatrist prescribed me a dexamfetamine "top-up" (for when my Vyvanse wears off and I need to keep working). They're 5mg tablets and 100pills cost me a grand total of $22.99AUD. Seeing a psychiatrist is the tricky part here though. There are so few of them so it takes months to get an initial appointment and the 1hr meeting is almost $500.
I live in the UK so our healthcare is a bit different with the NHS. I've been on Lisdexamfetamine/Vyvanse since Oct and i'm currently (May) on 50mg. Honestly, I feel my focus is the worst since taking it, my time blindness is ridiculous! I literally spent 7hrs in the bath the other day (topped up hot water probably 15 times lol) and a couple of weeks ago I spent 4hrs at the grocery store! With the NHS, you don't get any form of ADHD coaching or therapy, just meds and left to figure everything out for yourself. Still not sure which type of therapy is best for my ADHD, fibromyalgia and C-PTSD combo. My psychiatrist (NHS) sped me through the different dosages, increasing every month until I was on 70mg and it was awful! I can't actually remember it other than feeling constant heart palpitations and like I was having on and off anxiety attacks all day, which I couldn't get under control because of the uncontrollable heart palpitations. Needing to live like that for over a month due to psychiatrist having covid felt like hell (also have Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue). Thanks for this vid, it was very helpful to help me know for sure that i'm definitely on the wrong dose. I'm going to see if my psychiatrist will lower my dosage without accusing me of not having ADHD this time 🤦🏻♀️
Have you ever been prescribed Ritalin or Concerta? I'm beginning my treatment with extended release 36mg pills of Methylphenidate (Concerta) and although I feel the dosage is too low, focusing is already better. It helps me to rationalise.
Vyvanse has been a game changer (in good ways) for me. I was on Adderall, but asked to try Vyvanse and it's a much smoother experience for me. It does take 2-3 hours to kick in for me though...while Adderall started after just 15-30 minutes. But I much prefer the smoothness of Vyvanse. I only need to take it once a day while I was taking Adderall 3 times.
Thank you so much for this and your other videos. I'm still trying to find the right regimen. So far I've only taken various doses of adderall and adderall xr, and the ups and downs are too much to deal with. I'll start off with decent energy and motivation but my heart rate and anxiety will also spike. When I crash I get nauseous, lethargic, and somewhat depressed. I'm going to ask my provider if I can try vyvanse next. Fingers crossed I'll tolerate it better.
I have been taking vyvanse for about a year and I would say it has helped my ADHD symptoms mostly, but not so much executive function and memory. My psychiatrist has now added intuniv to see if it helps plug the gaps whilst also lower my BP a bit. My only worry is the weight gain side effect. Has anyone else in the mid forties, male taken intuniv?
I'm currently on Vyvanse and it makes me feel absolutely terrible but out of all the medicines I've tried this one works best so unfortunately I have to continue taking it.
Taking it is definately like getting a shot of focus adrenaline. And that was good when i did manual labor. But it detrimented my mental state in that i couldnt relax anymore or sleep. And i have chronic stress issues. So its great for adhd. Horrible for anxiety
Thanks so much for information, just started on Elvanse 20mg here in the UK surprised by effectiveness but is is stopping me from sleeping so far but I've always struggled with that. I'm paying privately as state healthcare was a very long waiting list (3 years) for this kind of psychiatric treatment but even through an expensive non-insured private clinic the meds are only £60 (I guess about $80ish) for a months supply here -and that's top tier pricing. The pharmaceuticals companies in the US are out of control!!
I started taking it two weeks ago, and i ran out and havent been able to get out to get my prescription but it has helped me immensely. My sales are up almost 100%, my attention span has increased, my hobbies have had my full attention when i have the time for it, i feel great. Now that i have gone a few days without it, i feel empty and back to my normal self (which isnt good, for me). It also decreased my appetite by 90% meaning i can hardly get two meals in a day, so i try to eat right after taking my vyvanse so that im not accidentally starving myself. Overall, great. High anxiety but ive been working on it.
Hey man, the anxiety became less for me after my body got used to it more. Also the tip from my psychiatrist was to do the more demanding tasks early and the lesser ones later in the day, this helped me allot. Also practising Mindfullness has really helped me out in that way too. I actually found that Elvanse helps me to keep me in a state of Mindfulness longer after doing an exercise. So now I got it added in my morning routine. Hope this is helpful to you. Take care
I definitely know what you talking about being hyperfocused and intense on Concerta, that is why I never take bigger dose than 36, too big of a dose makes me too robotic like the terminator. I really have to try Vyvanse, in my country goes by Elvanse, next time I see my doctor have to ask for that.
Update: yup they helped 😊 they arent a "magical cure", but they help And i dont feel trapped in my head, i feel completely normal, just function better
20mg is quite slow and you usually start that off 20mg and increase weekly or longer to find right dosage. Talk to your nurse. You usually start around 10/20/30mg. When increasing the dosage, side effects won't be as bad. From my experience.

Going from feeling trapped and stuck in college with now way of helping myself out, to emailing professors and actually reaching out and being productive. here’s my story: I started taking phentermine for weight loss however the side affect was extreme jitters and high anxiety.
"Well, phentermine is a stimulant so it's the same".

it's been life-changing for me. started 20mg and worked up, continuing to experience a surreal ability to get more done, to process information, to listen to conversations, to alleviate anxiety to where I've been now taking 60mg for more than a year. works very well. i get up at 4am, but don't take it till about 7am... before my work day begins. thanks for sharing the video!
Do you take it every single day or only on the days you want to function better? Any side effects?
I am waiting for my script to be filled. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade but nothing was ever done. Now I am 36. I can only imagine what life would be like now if I was medicated as a kid. My adhd is bad. I started failing grades in 3rd grade, ended up dropping out of school because I just absolutely could not get into it and I could not concentrate at all. It was rough.
Vyvanse really helped with my depression as well.
The cost itself gave me anxiety.
True!

@@brooklynndossey4183 hope it works out better for you. 💜
Both of you should try Psilocybin. I was Microdosing psilocybin for a couple months, it was a great experience for me and because of it- my depression is in remission.
I have similar diagnoses and am about to switch from Adderall IR to Vyvanse tomorrow! I hope it works as well for me as it sounds like it did for you.
@@Feverm00nhey, do you have an update?
I’m considering going on this too.
I started by Vance when I was 56 all my life. I just want to feel normal. My bounce gave me my life back. My mind works now.
Just remember everyone is different, and to be patient as your brain needs to adapt to it
As a fellow Canadian, I feel bad for Americans

Me too..

For me, It works very well (50 mg). The only downside is that it makes me more anxious in general, but when that happens, I just repeat to myself over and over that it's the pills talking and making me nervous, not a real perceivable treat.
Great strategy, thanks so much for sharing this!
Explain this imperceivable treat. Is it like a Scooby snack?
im on day 6 , is it normal to get little nervous? im 35 years and finaly i got to try something so my head could get some kinda rest. and i had some days bad sleep , but i think that is the bed ,but any way i feel the meds work bether when i had 8 hours sleep , and get more nervous when i had little sleep.

Struggled with ADHD all my life.. Made grade school an academic struggle, and nearly failed me out of college twice! As one teacher put it "You definitely have potential, you just have no focus."
Day 1 with it: I felt the ability to focus, but it's not a "magic pill" you still got to make the choice on what to focus on, the brain ritual of distraction are still there but I feel I have the ability to control it.

Do you live in the US?
We are paying about $300 a month. You are beyond lucky...

I got diagnosed with ADHD 18 years ago as a teenage. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. YES very sure of Dr.benfungi. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
How do I reach out to him? Is he on insta
Thanks to everyone for helping me understand, I want to understand if it's
something that can help me solve the problem (I have c-ptsd)
If you can get 90 day supply, you must not be in America, right?

@@MissHilPaige thanks for responding. From my research it seems like you can get 90 day scripts in the mail but not at a local pharmacy (or at least it’s much easier to do by mail.) Which to me doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is I guess. I’m on Medicaid and I don’t think they even allow 90 day scripts for scheduled meds in my state because they don’t want people potentially abusing them with government funded health insurance (at least that’s my guess.)

I'm about to start on vyvanse from Adderall XR. Do you take it daily, or as needed?
I’m picking it up tomorrow and hopefully it can make an impact in my life which I desperately need to get in order before I go to grad school.
did it help you man?
I’ve been told I was lying my entire life I was finally just described Vyvanse and Lyrica. I’m praying to God this works I just want to be a functioning adult
How it goes?
Man those prices are insane. Over here in Sweden when i reach around 210 dollars in total for prescribed medication it's "free" for a year then you repeat that for the next year etc. Also wanted to add that Elvanse is my favorite ADD medication for sure!
Just started 20 mg today! My doc was concerned since I'm also on wellbutrin but so far so good. After having tried so many other adhd meds I'm really hoping this is the one. I've already noticed that I don't get cold hands and cold feet like I have with concerta/ritalin/adderall. Thanks for your insight!
I’m starting vyvanse today and also on Wellbutrin. AdderallXR is suddenly impossible to get but I feel like it was time to try something else anyway
Wait is that why my hands are always so cold?? It's my concerta?!!
Yep 😂@@pandulce814
Vyvanse (elvanse here in the uk) was a godsend for me and has helped me get my lifeback. I can hold down a well paid job finally. For me methylphenidate xr (concerta or focalin) felt dirty, horrible comedowns and too much of hyper focus and just Felt like I was on cocaine
Haha. Thanks. That was funny

Thank you!

@Squadbusterskingz Yes it does but not not in any weird way. Instead of having 5-10 thoughts going around I can just focus on one thought at a time. It's a big relief. So I recommend to give it a try :)❤
@@whoopsielily I'm in the hospital now because of concerta. I don't think I'll take any ADHD meds fuck that shit

God bless America
I live in the US and I had to pay $358 for a 30 day supply, let alone my insurance is $240 a month and still had to pay $358 for my meds 😢
@@emmanuelrivera1242I just paid $413 for a month supply of Concerta. First time trying it. Started yesterday
Thank you for sharing! After a tough time with both ritalin and concerta my psychologist prescribed me vyvanse instead, and I'm starting it tomorrow morning. At least now I have a rough idea of what the experience will be like.
Wow, so expensive! In Germany I've payed only 7 Euros for a monthly dosis with my insurance
Und ich armer Hund muss satte 7,89€ zahlen für magere 30 Kapseln...😞
You have vyvanse in Germany? Didn't know that!

@@MusiC14545 ya it's just called elvanse..
so helpful in terms of expressing variability of feeling, and well-explained man, thanks so much.
There's a copay coupon you can get to knock it down to $30!
Australia here, only $40.30 per month for me.
Germany; 8€ a month
$30 in U.S for me
Here in Portugal it’s €40 which around USD50 per month. You have to be rich if you are going to live in the USA. I got diagnosed with ADHD a month or so ago. Yet to start meds but Vvyvance is the one they want me to take. I’m a bit scared so thank you for your video.

Like to know how you're doing on this. I'm at 72mg and don't think it's working anymore
i take 40mg, it seems to wear off really quickly for me and i feel sad and irritable when it does. but i also dont take it right when i wake up which i will try doing. also will try maybe stepping down to 30 mg. i wish you could get a sample pack that has all the different doses so you could see which works best for you.

I can’t imagine to pay 300$ per month for meds. I wouldn’t be able to get treatment. Thanks God I’m in Europe. 🎉
An honest in depth review. Love it! 😀
Great to see you buddy!
@@HIDDENADHD doesn't work anymore
Great comment to add to the video. So great to have you on the channel - thanks!
thank you for your insight!
Has anyone experienced bodyache when taking Vyvanse? That's the only side effect that I'm dealing with. Particularly extreme neck and shoulder pain.
It's changed my life I'm on 50mg but I have to say I think it's brutal that u have to pay I live in Scotland we have the NHS and everything is free I really think amarica should create an NHS. Thanks for the amazing adhd vids u do I feel like I'm part of a community now
It’s worth paying for it ,to get the right meds,I’m in Glasgow and have prob spent at least 30 grand on speed
@@johnmcdonald9295 bro 30 grand sheesh I'm so glad the NHS decided to prescribe pharmaceutical grade speed for noting although I've spent a bit on the old mandy. FREEDOM

Flush? What you mean by flush?

Is it normal to feel nothing when you take vyvanse for the 1st time? I am taking 30 mg
I'm a therapist so I listen to others for hours a day. Has anyone noticed any help with being able to focus more in conversation and being able to actively listen to others?
Crazy how expensive medication is in the US. I pay 80$ a month for mine.
Do you guys have any similar experiences? or tips
Wow... medication is so expensive in the US... In Australia, I got my Vyvanse 30mg pills for $42 AUD as it's mostly covered by Medicare.
phew! I'm just about to start on them and I'm in Australia. I'm less anxious now. Thanks
I'm on 60mg. I take it around 7am but around 2 I crash.and I'm done for the rest of the day
I live in the UK so our healthcare is a bit different with the NHS.
Sorry to hear that! Hopefully it gets better.
this was a rlly good video u did a great job explaining as a very new adhd vyvanse user
Taking it is definately like getting a shot of focus adrenaline. And that was good when i did manual labor. But it detrimented my mental state in that i couldnt relax anymore or sleep. And i have chronic stress issues. So its great for adhd. Horrible for anxiety
Please state how many MG’s you took?
Thanks so much for information, just started on Elvanse 20mg here in the UK surprised by effectiveness but is is stopping me from sleeping so far but I've always struggled with that.
I'm paying privately as state healthcare was a very long waiting list (3 years) for this kind of psychiatric treatment but even through an expensive non-insured private clinic the meds are only £60 (I guess about $80ish) for a months supply here -and that's top tier pricing. The pharmaceuticals companies in the US are out of control!!
I am on day one of vyvanse and, wow. Anyone ever watch that show limitless? I feel like this is my NZT. lol.
the movie was way better :p
Yeah, well, don't expect it to stay like that
How much did you take? I started today and barely feel 30 mg...
Ha! I love the movie! That's how Adderall made me feel. Now my dr gave me Vyvance. Its been an hour and nothing yet... *tapping fingers lol
@@watchgirl772 How did it go in the end? Anything happen lol
Take care
Good vid:) How long have you been taking Vyvanse now and have you had any issues with tolerance?
holy shit the price- oml. For Uk, I'm using private doctors (which is most expensive cause the main method is free) and it's only $100 a month
I definitely know what you talking about being hyperfocused and intense on Concerta, that is why I never take bigger dose than 36, too big of a dose makes me too robotic like the terminator. I really have to try Vyvanse, in my country goes by Elvanse, next time I see my doctor have to ask for that.

In my country it's called Elvanse, too and I started with 30 mg today :)
Probably too early to say, but I think I need a higher dosage.

yo, i’m on vyvanse 20mg rn and i can’t focus for shit. i’m distracted asf and the only thing i feel is a little light headed. what should i do?
20mg is quite slow and you usually start that off 20mg and increase weekly or longer to find right dosage. Talk to your nurse. You usually start around 10/20/30mg. When increasing the dosage, side effects won't be as bad. From my experience.
