I live between here and Spain my wife is Spanish and I have half Spanish kids obviously. I have never met an ex-pat who doesn't talk continuously about Britain and if they can speak Spanish they do it badly with an English accent😂
People from Spain tell me that people from Spain are racist and xenophobic. They have told me that for the past 12 years without my asking them that question and there is no reason to doubt them. Just ask Brazilian soccer player Vinicius Jr.
You thought you'd share this even you've never actually been to Spain to verify it? Racism and xenophobia thrives best when democratic countries suffer economic downturns and it's a favourite tool of right wing politicians to stir up division and hatred by blaming foreigners. It's easy to fool gullible people to distract them from the ruling governments failings to look after the economy and the welfare of its people. I've lived in the UK for nearly 60years and can state categorically Spain is not as racist as the UK and the people are much more friendlier to foreigners! I guess it also depends where you are in Spain. I'm in the North West and it is very diverse and much more accepting of race and sexual orientation 🇪🇸🙏
"England isn't what it used to be before". A coded sentences which means "there are too many brown people in England now so I am moving to a more whiter country, and please do not call me a racist since I am an expat and not an immigrant".
Like any country whose demographic changes significantly, the culture within that country _will_ change. This is not racism. It's facts. If the same numbers of white people entered an African country, that African country would not be the same anymore. Facts. Let's get over having a chip on our shoulders.
