Jerusalem Lights Parashat Vayakhel-Pekudei 5781: Carried Away by the Heart

- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- This week the book of Exodus is concluded with the reading of the last two Torah portions, Vayakhel and Pekudei. The commandments of observing the Sabbath and building the tabernacle are given over to the Children of Israel with the entire nation in assembly, on the morrow of the first Yom Kippur. And in perfect Divine timing, this Shabbat is also ‘Parashat HaChodesh’ - the special Sabbath in honor of the upcoming month of Nisan. On the first day of Nisan, the desert tabernacle was dedicated and the Divine Presence came to rest upon Israel, and all of creation was perfected. But open up your heart in the deepest way: the key factor in welcoming G-d into this world is heart…you’ve got to have heart!
The two portions of Vayakhel - Pekudei (Exodus 35:1 - 40:38) Vayakhel/Pekudei are read on Shabbat: Adar 29, 5781/March 13, 2021 (Shabbat Mevarchim - Parashat HaChodesh: Additional Torah reading Ex. 12)

Sooo beautiful teaching! I must write down all the words and embed it in my mind. And whatever I do, I will ask myself ,”do you make a place for HaShem in your world?” Thank you our great Rabbi. Shabbat Shalom to you and your Holy family.

Just as the Israelites of yore quickly came to donate and help, the Israelites of modern times rush to aid other nations. Though most do not know about this due to the Anti-Israel media.
Thank you.
