Truth being spoken here. During the plan demic the laity was abandoned, sacraments were denied, and we were shown just how little faith in Almighty God the clergy has. Our Shepards abandoned us in our time of greatest need! They cowered to the state for over 2 years! And they wonder why so many have never returned to church? Wow
That is an excuse of many, but that is all it is. We are responsible also for learning our faith: Bible, catechism, readings of the saints lives etc. Sadly, men are only just men my faithful grandmother taught me as a child, regardless of being a clergy. But the Lord granted the hierarchy of clergy alone to perform sacramental rights & consecration to aid us in our salvation. Fortunately for us, it does not depend on their weaknesses. I will follow the Lord & seek sacraments from those ordained to do so.
I have been working on learning my faith since I was born! . However I have learned my faith.,...... Slowly..... And scripture tells me what I need to know. The traditions and the Magisterium of the Church have also taught me what I need to know. What the Protestants who call themselves Christians (we were the first Christians at Antioch, remember) forget is that you can't look entirely at scripture and get all the answers that you need. The one holy catholic and apostolic church has given us what we need because Catholics live by the three-legged stool .......tradition, scripture, and the magisterium. Christ established only ONE Church. Luther did not wait around for the one Church to fix itself completely. It was in the process of fixing itself when he did his thing in 1517.
I don't belong to The Church because of the shepherds good or bad, I belong to The Church because it's the one , holy , Catholic & apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ.
I will be watching the event next week exposing the Bishops on their mishandling of our Diocesan charitable funds. I truly believe all of this is coming to a head. God's church will never be destroyed. Evil must be taken out. Jesse, thank you for leading the way.

In my humble opinion, there is no doubt that the Novus Ordo priest is viewed by the laity as merely the guy who is there to consecrate the Sacrament- because they can and have been allowed to do *everything* else in the Mass for the past 55 years. The NO priest is seen and viewed as merely an accessory, kind of a necessary evil, if you will "Thanks Father, we'll take it from here..." that is the general attitude. Its a horror.

Delaware restricted attendance but bishop locked all out. Protestants fought back to get bigger numbers in their churches.

I left Germany in 2022, and there was a movement towards TLM, mostly by the young people. My SSPX chapel there grew exponentially.

The lay people (some) don't understand that 5 of the 7 sacraments can only be done by a priest.
