3D printers are actually pretty cheap these days. Microcenter constantly has sales on Ender 3 printers. You can get them as low as $100 over there but even when it's not on sale it's like a $200 printer.
Or, stay with me here..... Try the shelf next to the pvc pipes in the DIY store. You know, the one with all the plugs, t-couplings, couplings, corners and ENDCAPS!!!
Just held on to a pipe and a big screw, then I smacked the screw with a screwdriver handle and it launched a good 100ft. Didn’t expect that, but that’s why I’m here now
I did the same thing years ago, but I made an adapter for my bb rifle. I used a sharpened drill bit as a striker. Worked ok, spun the cartridge same as here, but it would go 50 plus feet in the air.
Honestly u can buy a end cap for pipe. Drill a hole center. I'm a welder. I was once told by my instructor; If you can buy it for cheaper, than spending more time and money just for the same project. Than go the easiest route possible. Now if u built a mortar to fit the co2 cartridge in for that snug fit would probably a better use for the 3d maker. Keep working hard, and you'll create greatness.
You should 3d print a smaller tube, that goes inside the pvc pipe with rifling. Also you should make a whole firing mechanism if you can that would be sick, having a Co2 Musket
Protip: >Upgrade to metal piping 2 slightly different sizes. One fitting inside the other. Male piece should be the correct diameter to hold the rim of a shotgun cartridge. >Attach a .bb at the height of the primer while loaded inside the male piece. Screw the cap on the back end of the female piece. Fit the pieces together just how your parents did. Then slam her like you love her. Hot primer on .bb action ends with HUGE release everywhere!!! Cause there's no rifling and your probably shooting from the hip at a person who you're hoping hasn't recognized their fate at the hands of a dude making pipe babies all up in their abdomen. Also consider concealing a design like this as or with another object. Many possible options! Whatever you can pull apart, that a pipe can fit inside somehow! Fire straight through something like a purse with an elastic middle section and two handles! *Congratulations, gun!*
Lol, you could make a mortar with that. Just reverse the propellant, make the ignition inertia activated and make sure to pad with foam before designing a tube with the striking device strategically positioned. The lack of recoil would make knee mortars (Japanese in ww2 had one with supports that did look like they could be used on the knee) possible.
You need a rocket body and a nozzle to direct the co2 into a nice exhaust pattern for maximum thrust and stability. Add some fins to it. Maybe spring loaded ones like the RPG-7 has.
I used to use a 3/4 inch pvc pipe about 2-3 foot long and put a screw in the end cap and drop co2 cartridges down and they’d shoot about a mile at least it looked like that
@@toasterkolin9951 yeah, its pretty much that simple. as long as it's not sold (or full auto obviously) people in most states can build whatever gun they want to, legally. There is some specific lengths and stuff like that ppl are supposed to follow, but I believe that "barrel" is well over 16 inches so even if he managed to make it use a bullet, it would likely still be legal. Except probably in California lol. You cant even think about having fun there 😂
1/2 inch pipe works best. I made one with a bit of that and a cap with a screw barely poking into the pipe. It fires more or less the same way, just slam it with a bit of guidance from throwing the CO2 down the barrel
Make little plastic fins, that can roll up around d the rocket and fold out when it exists the barrel, and maybe make a 3d printed shell for the rocket
Me and my brother did this before 3d printers were a thing we got a plank of wood put a nail through it got some Pbc pipe and shot co2 bottles every were what fun it was.

Could you do green gas in a co2 gun?
you need the fins to stabilise
*you're
I have one of their MSLA printers, it's alright for the price.
You know you could just drill a hole in the fitting instead of wasting time 3d printing something that fits on standard pvc etc....🤪

He needs to put some fins on it. Or at least a long stick. Like how all other rockets work.
