The boneless braised duck stall has one of the best (if not the best) braised duck in Singapore, very tasty and tender. The duck liver is great, similar to foie gras. Braised peanuts and condiments are good too, also like the vinegary chilli. Dnt like sweet, just ask for sauce to be in a separate bowl. Used to be the father there, now run by the sons. All are very friendly and they smile even under stress of long queues.
Roast chicken looks better than white chicken. But here’s the thing about chicken rice, you hang chicken but tell the customer bo lioa then it reflects whether the customer thinks it is worth the Michelin. After all you get people travelling all the way from one end of Singapore to try and if you were there seeing the chicken hanging but told sold out, I don’t think the impression goes down well. The store could have said these ones hanging are for these orders to kind of explain why. Other than that, it is what it is.
Without even watching the content my opinion was Michelin is they should not touch hawkers! It affects popularity, demand and affect the quality of the food. The affect locals who just want a simple meal without the hype.
Spoiling food costing market...... making whole country rising higher cost of normal food. And anyhow just judge by giving 'michelin star standard'....really full of sh***.🤬👎
If you don't use google review 3 stars means it is okay. There are a lot of better chicken rice around so this is okay and to quote yourself "this chicken rice is quite decent" so it kinda of justify the 3 stars rating so Michelin is a joke for giving these two stores bib gourmand. Service is also one of the rating on google so the other reviewer has the right of complaining about them being dishonest refusing to sell individual parts when they have whole chicken hanging down there. I have never encountered this with the exception of Soh Kee Cooked Foo... but at least theirs are amazing.
I going to say the word "Michelin star" only go for restaurants not hawker centre but why hawker centre really need Michelin star??? just because the food good also need Michelin star meh? The Michelin star is a lot higher than hawker centre food
Hawker food dont deserve " michelin star" standard as they dont even reach food preparing standard and anyhow cook without guides. Spoiling market all so call ...high food standard.👎🤬
Hawkers dont get michelin star, they get michelin bib. There's a difference. Anyway, it's all for marketing purposes. Most of the stalls who got michelin bib tend to raise their prices and standard drop because they dont have the manpower/resources to deal with the increase of customers. In Singapore and other countries you can usually find equal or better food street/hawker food that don't have michelin bib.
Understand that michelin is like any other guides. Based on opinions. I am sure they do not take sample disposition into account. Do take ratings with a pinch of salt. 😉
I think everybody understands the damn fact that there r rumors that Michelin is a form of bloody paid advertisement. You meet the 1,2,3 - stars standards, you pay them, they advertise for your business to understand. I think we understand that Seth has some 50 shades of grey inside as stated in the Straits Times complaint news, thanks to our NS. But I understand Seth is a honest guy bro. I don't think he is low-handed. I understand he has his opinion on Michelin and I think he thinks he is more honest than them, how about that???
I'd rather listen to the locals opinions and be more successful in finding a gem of a eating spot than following Michelin recommendations. There's no need for Asian restaurants to receive a western award with little to no experience with diverse cuisines.
Dont they known michelin star rate ......is using years of experiences on food cultures, food quality, food owner behavious, services, presentation meets.

Sean Kee is really too sweet, great for those diabetic people with no control.
Viewers view may not be best judge. Google reviews only say that the food is popular. Michellin supposed to be done by pro.
