The 3D stuff isn’t really sculpting. It’s simply designing. The printer does the sculpting. That’s why I’m so glad that someone still has the cojones to actually post a video where he sculpts a mini by hand, from scratch. Kudos to you Sir!!!
@@stonelion99 It’s designing. And then the machine (printer) does the “sculpting” from that design. If I draw a sketch and you use your hands to reproduce it in clay, who is the sculptor, you or I?
Hahaha thank you for your continued support and gracious words my father, none of this would have been possible without you bringing me into this swampy world
That turned out fantastic!!! I've been mulling over whether or not to sculpt a 1/35 scale ground squirrel for a diorama I've been working on. Great video as always!!!
Just to let you know! The dirt down moss works really well if you leave it in a bowl of hot/warm water for about 5 minutes then shake, and if you use almost dollops of the stuff :) I always heat up my dirty down rust too

You are getting really good at sculpting! Not that you were bad before...just more refined now. Have you experimented making miniatures with extra firm polymer clay or flexible clay like Cosclay? Greenis... heh, heh...
Thank you my dude, definitely come a long way so far, and have a long way to go still 😁 No I’ve been meaning too though, it’d be good to experiment a bit actually so stay tuned! Hehehe greenis, hope you’re doing good though!
As always a great sculpt! I love the spots of red and purple on (and around) the little big fella! This reminds me two videos about trolls made by Atbel some times ago: check it out, if you don't know the channel. As always, Keep going!
Thank you Leif, glad to hear from you my friend! I’d not heard of that channel before but just watched the troll mother video and really enjoyed it, his is better than mine though 😁
@@SwampRatMiniatures that video is amazing; Atbel is very good but I'm sure enough he started to sculpt many winters ago: you create a lovely minis in a very small time (and with different material).
I saw the thumbnail and I SCULPTED MY OWN!
Did it look like your mumma

Completely agree, 3D designing/printing is great, but for me making something by hand is way more satisfying, so I’m glad you enjoyed!
I mean, making a model in 3d software is called digital sculpting for a reason. Can't deny that physical is much more interesting though.
