More like you can tell he’s fielded that question in every single interview for this round of press. I’ve no doubt he and Henry are actually good friends, but Henry’s departure has nothing to do with Joey’s actual work on the show, so it might be more polite to the actor to ask him about what he’s doing, not his cast mates who were never going to appear in this production anyway.

@@mshtysf4646 lol ok makes sense but the question is how bad could it be? He could say "I saw Henry leave" or "Henry was really passionate about this material and the writers were focused on certain aspects on this material." Right there, easy tight rope on saying "Henry rocked the boat" and "the writers want to rewrite the book and cannot stand others trying to rewrite their own scripts" but without coming off as "O-fensive". I just don't think any drama on any set should be such a taboo subject. People butt-heads and don't get along. That's assumed in my book.

Joey is either out of money or out of spine for supporting Lauren
I'm pretty certain it's money. Henry can step away if he's unhappy because he's already had a successful career since 2013, and he also has Superman to step into, but Jaskier is Joey's biggest role to date, and outside of the Witcher, he only has smaller one off parts on smaller shows, and his band The Amazing Devil, which is fully independent and only started selling merchandise in the past few months, but even though they're incredible, the fan base is very dedicated, but very small.
@@idgarobingoodfellow yeah, for him it is only platform for fame, so I understand him, people love him, it will be sad to see him without henry, they were great together, and bloated biceps

Henry ain't ever coming back which is sad but fair, I'll commit to season 3 and then I'm divorcing the tv series.

But he didn't betray his fans. He's doing it for the fans, because the writers are betraying the books and not keeping to the story that was written in them. Henry left out of respect for the fans who love the books and games and want to see a proper adaptation of the original stories, not the rubbish the writers made up for the tv series that is not in the books. Most of the fans for that reason have supported him for leaving and don't think he betrayed them. If the writers made a faithful adaptation of the books he would have stayed.

The people behind the scenes betrayed the fans not Henry - Lauren was quoted outright several times stating the show would be faithful to books and season 2 was 90% made up nonsense nowhere within the books... She lied. Henry by contrast said he would do all seven seasons as long as the show remained faithful to books, it wasn't so he walked away from the show as promised. The fact it's come out that the writers mocked the source material yet Henry is the one betraying anyone in your eyes utterly baffles me.

I'm so proud of Henry. He stood up for the source material and more importantly the fans. The Witcher is dead now, despite of the hard work of Henry to keep it alive. Just another franchise destroyed by activists masquerading as writers.
