The Chapel of The Dead (1799) | San Gottardo | Switzerland 🇨🇭

Up about ~ 2000 m above sea level, this old old stone chapel built in 1799 was dedicated to the people who didn’t make it over the mountain and they lost their lives trying to cross from a part to the other of the San Gottardo mountain, from canton Ticino to canton Uri or the other way around.
