If you don't mind a suggestion. If you are definitely not doing any farming in the Winterhome region, when you get the policy you could take the hunting policy. It's more meat at the cost of harvest yield.

You know one thing I found is veggie garden are best way to get food.
Would you say the current released build of ML is in a good state to play? or would it be worth waiting for further features to be released? (asking for a friend haha)
It'd good for a couple of playthroughs right now. The build is stable and relatively balanced but it's probably only at about 40-50% of its total content meaning that after a few runs it'll likely lose some of its charm and your desire to do yet another similar run. Is perfectly playable and very enjoyable for a few games then likely I'd give it a break for 3-6 months to see if they add some substantial new content etc
