"The Early Years" includes a completely re-recorded version of the very first EP "Vên" from 2003 and a re-mastered version of the debut album "Spirit" from 2006, on which "Your Gaulish War" originally appeared.

I dont listen much Eluveitie, compared to other folkmetal bands, but their live show is one of the best and most fun i've ever attended. The huge variety of instruments they bring out makes it really impressive and entertaining.

This is my favorite Eluveitie song of all time... this version is amazing.
I never said i dislike inis mona, but yes, of course if a song is complex (and if you know how to appreciate music) you'd like it the most. And I love all those bands, even thought they don't have nothing to do with Folk-Metal

To settle the Anna Murphy argument, Anna's first recording with Eluvietie was Slania. Sarah Kiener played hurdy gurdy on Spirit.

I guess I'm always just dumbfounded by that statement because their lyrics, no matter if you think they're not great or even that they use incorrect phrasing, are a million times better than a lot of purely English speaking 'songwriters'!

Yeah, Caesar wasn't that good of a man. In Rome, he may have been a good, caring dictator who gave his people what they wanted, but out in the field, he was a fierce fight who showed the European tribes little to no mercy if they didn't choose to become "civilized."
How can you ask this question Ez Elembho ??? Who did fight in the entire Gaul's war and was at its origin ? Who did massacre the different helvetian tribes in 58 BC near Bibract in central eastern Gaul ? One only answer: Julius Caesar ! Vercingetorix appeared only 6 years later in 52 BC,was the gaulish chief of the rebellion that year but was made prisoner at the end of the enormous siege and battle of Alesia.
Definitely, Korpiklaani and Sylosis are the only other bands that have been uploading anything good in the past few weeks.

Jesus christ people, it's just a picture. Who knows. And all of you saying that Anna was not on Spirit... misinformation... She's been in the band since 2006. She played Hurdy Gurdy only-ish around then. You can OBVIOUSLY see her in the Of Fire Wind And WIsdom music video (which is from spirit).

Foi mesmo a isso que eu me referi...eles focaram-se mais em promover os 2 ultimos albuns e nao se preocuparam em tocar grandes musicas dos albuns mais antigos como o Spirit, Slania e Evocation I. Limitaram-se apenas a tocar a Inis Mona! Fiquei muito desiludida, queria ter visto o melhor dos Eluveitie e eles não deram o seu melhor como deram a uns anos no Sa da Bandeira na minha opiniao

fiquei desiludida, muitas pessoas sentiram o mesmo. Aquilo foi mais uma promoçao do novo album que outra coisa. Faltaram grandes êxitos, grandes músicas que o público estava a espera. Para quem estava a espera de os ver a 3 anos, ficaram muito aquem das minhas expectativas.
Inis Mona is just their most popular song, but its far to be their best one, mainly to true Eluveitie fans

oooh yeah? the whistles on inis mona are so fucking simple, even the solo is not as difficult as it seems, but try to play this song at that pace and not failing once. This song is even better

Nope. I'm not kidding. Yes it is impressive that they can sing in two languages that's not of their native tongue. Although they can do that, it doesn't make the lyrics for this specific song any better. It's just my opinion. Good day to you Mercilion. :)
So are they a bad choice of words to adequately convey their intended meaning, or is the lyrical content/meaning just poor?
If you weren't aware this is about a Roman-Gaul incident (as a lot of the folklore is) and it has some pretty nice usage of symbology and is an interesting tale.
However, I grant you they tend to meld modern English with older (maybe back to Middle) English, and then throw in some strictly Roman terminology and Latin phrases, so it's not easily read.
SO much better than Inis Mona.

Its an ESP LTD MH, I would assume its either a 351, 401 or an 1000 series, The 351 and 401 are basically the same thing, and the 1000 series just has usually a nicer bridge and tuning machine and cosmetics. Sorry i cant tell exactly which one it is but I know for a fact that it is an MH, and one of the higher quality models.
